saturday, today is saturday.
it's been a month since i moved and i've gotten pretty used to it.
i met new friends.
that inlcudes jeon jeongguk.
on the 3rd week of me transferring to yeonhwa university, i just found out that jeonguk is the head of the taekwondo org of the school.
he also has a black belt as i'm still working for mine.
we grew a lot closer and talked more since we spend 3 hours in a matted gymnasium.
saturday is our taekwondo day, a day for official athletes to train.
i already got my gym bag with me as i push open the metal doors of the gymnasium
the room is full of my other co-athletes, stretching and doing some warm-ups
"hey sunmi"
i felt a hipbump from my new friend, kwon hyuri. she's already a black belter and also like an eonnie to me
"annyeong hyuri sunbaenim"
i bowed
"yah, you don't need to call me sunbaenim everytime. i told you eonnie would be fine"
she patted my head as i smiled at her
i admire kwon hyuri a lot, she's academically good, talented and also pretty. she has everything in her.
"now, go change it's staring at 3 minutes"
she hastily shooed me and went back to training mat
i went to the lockers area and changed into my uniform.
i let out a deep sigh as i tie my red-black belt
(a/n: somi is already a 4th degree black belter, i just changed it hehe)
i should work harder for that black belt
"fighting sunmi, you can do this bitch"
i probably look like an idiot infront of the mirror but this is the only thing that makes me feel strong.
i feel like the only person that i need to compete with is myself, not with anyone nor someone.
i always tell myself i that have to do better than what i did yesterday.
with a final glance at the mirror i walked out of the room
everyone was starting to form a line
i made my way infront since that's where my instructor put me
i took a glance at the other side of the gym, where the black belters were training.
our group is divided from the black belters since were a rank lower.
my eyes drifted to jeongguk, he was talking infront, standing tall and looking powerful in his uniform.
he has a small frown etched on his forehead, assuming he was scolding his co-athletes.
as i was eyeing him, he suddenly diverted his gaze on me
instead of looking away, i stuck my tongue out at him
his eyes slowly went big and turned into tiny moon crescents as he smiled
"yoon sunmi, after the training give me 20 push-ups and 5 laps around the gym"
my eyes instantly went big
"WHY"
i whined, loud enough that it echoes around the gym
i felt lots of eyes on me
"i called you 5 times and you wont even look at me. if you really want to be one of those black belters you should do well here first"
he pointed out the other group as he shouted at me
"im sorry"
i bowed down in embarrassment as i felt t a lot of stairs piercing through my back
"now lets start"
he clapped

3 dreadful hours of painful stretches, difficult routines, hits here and there later.
training is done
well not for me.
everyone already went out and im left all alone
i can't run away from this punishment since there's cctv cameras in every corner of the room
"ugh fuck my life"
i said as i begin my push-ups
10 is fine but another extra 10? i think nope no thanks
push-up is soup and i am fork.
i do my first 10 but when 15 comes, i'm starting get red and out of breath
"siiixteeeeeen"
deep breaths
"s-seven *breaths* teen"
"eighteen"
"fucking nineteen"
my arms are shaking and feeling so sore
"twenty okay i'm fucking done"
i plop down on the floor as i catch my breath
i felt a towel being thrown on my head
"you look like a dying lizard there"
i picked up the towel as i stood up from my position and was met by the infamous jeon jeongguk
"why the hell did you compare me with a lizard"
"i dont know, it's the first animal i thought of"
he chuckled
"ugh, go now shoo. i still have 5 laps to do"
i shooed him with my hand but he just gave me an amused smile.
jeongguk took a seat on one of the athletes seats on the side with his elbows placed on his knees
looking hot with his sleeves rolled up showing his veiny arms
i shook my unwanted thoughts aways as i walk towards the door of the gym, where my makeshift starting line begins.
"i'll just stay here and watch you"
jeongguk smirked
"ugh your'e face is annoying me"
he just smiled and leaned back on his seat showing me his big hard chest
i looked away and swallowed hard
how am i going to finish this shit

after 3 laps
i realized i was still in my taekwondo uniform which is so hot and thick
"hey jeongguk"
i shouted from my far corner of the room
he looked up from his phone
"can you please hand me my towel"
he nodded and took my white towel on my bag, he also took my water tumbler
i was panting hard as i try to untie my belt
i felt suffocated and hot
my sweat is dripping to the ground as i quickly try to untie my belt with my shaking hand
i felt his presence infront of me and saw him put down my tumbler on the floor
he again placed the towel on my head and then helped me remove my belt
"you okay now?"
he asked, looking straight to my eyes
i heaved out a ragged breath and sat down on the matted floor
i honestly felt like puking and so suffocated
he too crouched down infront of me as is he noticed my discomfortness
"hey sunmi are you okay?"
"yah yoon sunmi don't push yourself too hard"
jeongguk is getting worried
he started to rub his hand on my back and took the towel with other hand
he patted my sweaty face dry
"hey don't pass out on me"
i can feel my eyes getting heavier
and then followed by my body
i feel like my body shutting down
the only thing left is the windows shut down sound effect
