Artemis awoke to the sound of a roaring flame which burned his every nerve then suddenly nothing, no engulfing heat, no unbearable smoke, nothing at all not even a tiny bit of pain. Strange he thought this much fire would usually cause someone to scream and slowly burn to death but for him he could feel nothing then gradually looking down he saw something he'd only read about in story books at his father's library.....
Flames danced at his feet, crawled up his legs and weaved its way around his torso and around his arms then as if he was dreaming the flames sunk deep into his skin and then the roaring flame began retreating and vanishing.
