(WARNING: LONG CHAPTER)
Madi peeked around the corner of the room Webby was currently in.
Madi is the adopted sister of Webby! She was found roaming the streets alone and Webby and her grandma took her in when she was only 6. The two are now currently 13. While Madi loved her family... She wanted to know about her mother and she knew the only person capable of that information was Webby.
As soon as Webby exited the room, Madi found her opportunity and searched around. She looked through books, newspapers, and drawers but found absolutely nothing! All of a sudden, she heard a crackle. She slowly got up as someone grabbed her from behind. Madi then roundhouse kicked them and the stranger groaned.
Madi placed her webbed foot on the stranger and yelled "Who are you and what are you doing here!?"
The stranger then turned on the lamp nearby to reveal a smiling Webby.
"The question is, what are you doing here?" Webby questioned as Madi helped her back up on her feet.
"Im so sorry!" Madi laughed.
Webby smiled and cheerfully said "Oh its fine! I can handle a little pain. Also, I see you have been practicing your roundhouse kicks."
As Webby was placing her books back on the shelf, she asked "So, Madi? What were you doing in here?"
"Umm... Nothing really..." Madi sighed.
"Nothing hm? I havent seen you work that hard to look for something in a while! So back to the question, what were you doing in here?" Webby stared at Madi.
"Fine..." Madi rolled her eyes. "I was searching for things on my mom...
"Y-your mom!?" Webby ran to close all the curtains. "What do you know about your mom?"
Madi said looking down "All I know is that her name was Diana..."
Webby stared at Madi and sighed "I am not supposed to say anything so you have to promise not to tell Scrooge or granny anything ok?"
Madi nodded to her sister.
Webby looks both ways, then back at her sister, "Bad things happen to those who ask about Diana! Diana Duckburg was her name!"
Madi's eyes widen, "Duckburg? As in THE Duckburg we live in?"
"Yeah, she was the owner of Duckburg until one day she just disappeared! Almost out of thin air! The only person I know of that knew about Diana was Della Duck!" Webby explained.
"So lets go find her!!!" Yelled an anxious Madi.
"Ah ah ah! Not so fast!" Webby waved her finger. "Della Duck also disappeared mysteriously... No one knows anything on them... But now Scrooge is the prideful owner of Duckburg!"
Madi sighed and took a glance out the window "yeah... I just wish I knew my mom..."
"So, does this mean you dont want me as your sister now...?" Webby sadly asks.
Madi looked up at her and gave her a big hug. "Webby, I will always be your sister no matter what! There is no way you can get rid of me!"
Webby laughed and hugged back "That makes me feel a little better."
Suddenly the two heard a loud thud from another room down the hall. Webby then reached down for a rope.
"Webby, what are you doing" Madi facepalmed.
"I'm going to find out whats going on! What if there are people in there that were sent by ma beagle or Glomgold!?" Webby asks you anxiously.
"Ugh fine! But what if they are, like, guests of Scrooge or something?" Madi folds her arms.
"Only one way to find out!" Webby waves we rope around.
As soon as the door swings open, Webby goes in for the attack and ropes them all in. She then leaves them hanging from the celing. You stand there and watch all of this, a bit confused.
"Ah! Ill put the marbles back! I swear!" One of them says.
"Who sent you? Ma beagle? Glomgold? Answer me!" Webby says a little creepily.
You raise a brow as the one in green cries "U-Uncle scrooge!"
You facepalms once again.
"Uncle scrooge? Oh my gosh! The nephews!" Webby claps and turns on the lights.
"I told you that it was probably guests of Scrooge!" Madi gives her sister a little push as she lets the three down.
"Hey! Well at least they weren't... They weren't..." Webby stutters.
"At a little loss for words huh?" Madi laughs.
"Wait you know us?" Louie questions suspiciously.
"Of course!" Webby yells.
"Researching Mr. McDuck and his family is kinda her hobby." Madi points to her.
"What?" Louie seems a little freaked out.
"What are your blood types?" Webby yells as she pulls off a peice of hair from Louie. "What's donald really like?" She asks quickly as she helps Dewey up.
"Whos the evil triplet?" Madi questions, rubbing her hands together like an evil mastermind.
"Louie" Huey and Dewey point to him and he shrugs.
"Tell me everything!!!" Webby yells, pulling out a camera to take a picture.
Madi shrugs and pulls the picture out after she takes it.
"Uh... We live with our uncle..." Louie says, rubbing his eyes.
"On a boat..." Dewey adds on, still a little traumatised.
"Go on" Webby says as Madi shows her the picture.
"Kind of it, were just a normal, boring family." Huey shrugs.
"Normal?" Webby questions.
"Boring?" Madi adds on.
The two laughs with a simple "Ha!"
Webby then kicks a ball that hits the wall to show a wall of the McDuck family.
"Woah!" The three say in amazement!
Madi then takes the picture and tacs it up on the wall and puts a black string around it as Webby explains their family.
"Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, Scrooge McDuck's great-nephews on his sister Hortense's side with Quackmore Duck twice removed!" Webby explains.
"And you two are?" Dewey asks.
"Oh right! Webby and-" Webby gets cut off as shes pointing to a drawing of her, Madi, and their granny.
"Madi Vanderquack!" Madi yells surprisingly from behind.
"Our grannys the housekeeper!" They both say at the same time, play with their hair. "Wait! Are we... Friends now?" They both ask.
"If we say yes will you let us live?" Huey asks a bit nervous.
"Ha! Good one new best friend!" They both say again.
Madi and Webby dash for the board and Webby puts the black string from Huey, Dewey, and Louies picture to Madi, Webby, and Grannys drawing as Madi writes friends under it.
They both back up and smile a little.
"So, friends, what do you do for fun around here?" Louie asks, smirking.
"Oh! Were the best at fun... Um...!" Webby says while Madi kicks the vent, opening it.
Webby crawls in and the three follow as Madi lets them in first.
"Well at least its not the marble room!" Dewie says positively!
The five of them crawl throughout the vents till Dewey stops.
"What the hold up?" Madi questions Dewey.
Dewey points to Scrooge from down below and Madi and him eavesdrop.
"Perhaps you should spend time with your family!" Says Mrs. Beakly to a very unhappy Scrooge.
"Oh, hang up my spats, become the doddering old relic everyone thinks I am, spinning yarns to those loud-mouth young'uns about the man I used to be?" Scrooge complains.
"You have avoided them for ten years!" Mrs. Beakly argues.
"Because family is nothing but trouble!" Yells scrooge from below.
Madi and Dewey gasp.
"Oh" Deweys face shows mixed emotions.
Madi puts her hand on his shoulder and he angrily shrugs it off.
After crawling through the vents, Dewey falls out through the exit and Madi falls out on top of him. He helps her up and they dust themselves off, give each other a glance, then catches up with the others. Dewey walks with his arms folded angrily.
"Welcome to the wing of secrets!" Says Webby dramatically and opens up the door.
Webby dashes in and Huey and Louie follow excitedly behind. Dewey walks in grumpy and Madi tries to cheer him up.
Madi looks up at huey who is looking at a picture of Scrooge and Chupacabra. "I knew it!" He says.
"Dewey! Check it out!" Louie says, pointing to an artifact.
"Yeah whatever." Dewey says, rolling his eyes.
Louie shrugs.
"Come on Dewey! Cheer up!" Madi cheerfully tells Dewey.
"Really? Did you seriously not hear him?" Dewey points to the vents.
"Yeah... I guess I would be upset too... But come on! There are a lot more things to be happy about!" Madi gives him a playful punch.
"The Gong of Picchu. Hit it three times to unleash unspeakable evil." Webby says, waving her hands.
Huey sees Louie and walks over to him.
"Um what are you doing?" He questions his brother.
"Calling dibs on stuff! What? Scrooge is, like, he's, like, super old." Louie laughs.
"Oh, careful! Medusa gauntlet. One touch can turn organic matter to stone." Says Webby creepily.
"I'm gonna call this one a maybe." Louie puts the sticky note on it anyways.
Madi and Dewey see a picture and examine it.
"This place is incredible!" Yells Huey.
"Its fake..." Puts his hands on his hips.
"Is that uncle Donald?"
"Oh yeah, he was Mr. McDucks sidekick!" Webby excitingly says.
The three shake their heads and Madi does as well.
"Deweys right!" Huey folds his arms.
"Totally fake!" Louie follows.
"Uncle Donald has never done anything cool!" Admits Dewey.
"Yeah, sorry sis, but what I have seen, he doesn't seem like the cool type." Madi adds on and the three nod agreeable.
"What!? Donald Duck is one of the most daring adventurers of all time!" Webby argues.
All of them except Webby laugh.
"This has got to be a fake. And I bet everything else is, too." Dewey says as the rest agree.
"That's not true! What about this picture with chupacabra?" Argues Webby.
"Photoshop." Says Huey
"This treasure chest?" Webby points.
"Probably bought it at an auction." Louie shrugs.
"This g-ghost?" Webby, a little scared backs away.
"You mean this Halloween decoration?" Madi walks up to it and pulls the cover off of it, revealing a ghost!
"Curse ye, ye scurvy life-lubbers!" Says the ghost as Madi runs off away from it.
"It's Captain Peghook, the scourge of the River Styx!" Yells Webby!
"Webbs! Why havent you told me about this before!?" Madi questions her sister.
"You never listened to me!" Yelled Webby.
"It's real. It's really, really real!" Screams Dewey as he grabs onto a sword that starts to glow blue and control itself.
The ghost evily laughs as thr sword goes right through him.
"The Deus Excalibur! It won't rest until its target's slain!" Yells Webby.
"But he's already dead!" Argues Huey.
The sword then hits the gong.
"Do not let anything else hit that gong!" Yelps Webby.
"Yep, I'm gonna sit this one out." Says Louie as he sits. All of a sudden the thing he sits on becomes a saddle and a horse pops up, throwing him off.
"The headless man-horse! That one feels self-explanatory." Explains Webby.
The horse then rings the gong!
"That's twice!" Yells a scared Dewey.
"One more, and something terrible could happen!" Exclaims Webby.
"What could be worse than this?" Louie points out.
"What in dismal downs is going on in here?" Scrooge angrily points in the room.
"There it is." Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Madi says.
Webby just tries to stay out of it...
"Why arent you in your rooms?" Scrooge angrily argues.
Louie grabs Scrooges arm and they all run and try to hide.
"We've got this. There are five of us and three of them. If we wait, never mind. They teamed up." Huey pauses.
"Ah, good, that means only one target." Scrooge tips his top hat and walks over to the beast.
"No, get back! You're old!" Yells Madi and Dewey.
Webby stares at you two.
"What? Was that wrong?" Madi laughs.
"Oi, beastie! What's it gonna take to shuffle you off to the afterlife?" Scrooge stares at him.
"The head of Scrooge McDuck!" It lifts up the sword and its head catches on fire, glowing blue.
It makes you jump a little.
Scrooge then cracks his neck. "Would you settle for his hat?"
He then throws it, blinding him for a bit as he runs and slides under him. The beast then throws the sword, cutting off the head of a stone replica of him and he catches it.
"There's your head." Remarks Scrooge, tossing it to him.
"I should've been more specific!" Yells the ghost as he disappears and the head falls onto the now happy horse as hes excited to have a head.
Madi and the others run to him and cheer, jumping up and down! He then stamps his cane to the ground and the room goes silent.
"We can explain. We came down to your secret museum to look for you, because we love you?" Louie tries to lie.
"Secret museum? This is the gar-age!" Scrooge clicks a button the opens up the garage door.
"The what?" Huey and Dewey question.
"Do you mean "garage"?" Louie raises a brow
"No, that's ridiculous. If this is a garage, then how do you explain all this amazing stuff? Like the garden hose of destiny? Or Montezuma's stack of old magazines? Or Oh, yeah, it's a garage." Webby explains.
"Yeah j-just stop Webby..." Madi puts her hand on her shoulder.
"Unbelievable. I invite you into my home-" Scrooge gets cut off.
"You locked us in a room!" Argues Louie.
"You did!" Madi points out.
"I gave you marbles!" Scrooge shrugs.
"All we wanted was to hang out with you!" Huey sighs.
"Well, now you have, and look at the mess it's got me!" Scrooge angrily says.
"I guess family is nothing but trouble" Dewey exclaims.
"right, Scrooge?" Madi steps in behind Dewey.
"Everybody out!" Yells Scrooge.
"But we're" Huey gets cut off.
"Out!" Scrooge yells, hitting the gong with his cane.
"Well, what are you gaping at? The curse is only activated if you ring the gong three times and you already hit it two times, didn't you?" Scrooge regretingly says as the stone dragon starts to crack and come to life.
"Pixiu, the Gold-Hunting Dragon" Webby stares at the dragon as it flies up and stares right at the money bin.
"Gold hunting? Sounds great!" Yells Louie.
"Not when you're Duckburg's single largest owner of gold!" Argues Madi.
"Ahh! Me money bin!" Yells Scrooge!
"Ive got this!" Yells Madi as she rushes up towards it and grabs onto its back.
"No! Madison get back here!" Scrooge rushes up and before grabbing onto his tail yells "To your rooms!"
