I walked to the elevator and pressed the button for the second floor I mumbled under my breath "here we go"

"Come in" I called out not looking from file
"Umm Ms. Brantley" she said in a sweet innocent voice

"You must be my new assistant have a seat"
"I'm Tia by the way" She awaited for me to shake her hand but I didn't instead I handed her a stack of papers She probably thought I was being a lil bitchy today
"Alright Tia today I'm gonna need you to make sure all these appointments are caught up to date"
"Ok Ms. Brantley anything else" She asked as She started sorting through the papers and marking them down
"You can get me a salad from Nobu"
"Ok"
After forty-five minutes she was already done damn she works fast
"You're all caught up to date Ms.Brantley" Smith said placing the papers in the file cabinet
"Thank you, you're a fast worker I see" I said putting down my glasses
"I guess you could say that" she said taking a seat on my navy blue couch facing my desk my eyes couldn't help but wander over her body damn she was something fine
"Well since I didn't interview you personally care to tell me a little bit about yourself" I said as I watched her look from her phone and tuck her hair behind her ear her face was Looked so soft her lips were plumped so kissable her sweet voice took me out my trance
"Ms. Brantley you ok ?" she asked with this concerned look on her face
"I'm uh I'm fine sorry I just got lost in thought" I said nervously scathing the back of my head

"I don't wanna sound out of line or anything that could cause me to lose my job on the first day but your really beautiful" she said looking down like she regretted it

" sorry if im behind Ms.Brantley one of your employees with the crooked teeth stopped me" I placed the bag on her desk as she tried to hold a laugh that was daring to escape
"I'm sorry what" she turned around in her chair and laughed silently the she turned back facing me while I began to sip on my tea
"Your employee the bad body chick stopped me before I got on the elevator you don't have no dentist plan for these people no type of insurance so they can get it together cause Gil the only one I noticed today that had it fit, she had the nerve to say that I looked like a little kid just because of my height" I guess I started rambling cause Ms. Brantley started looking at me
"You're surely a talker" she munched on her salad
"I guess" I checked my phone seeing a text from my ex the nerve of his ass
"What's wrong Smith your whole attitude just changed" I shifted in my seat not really wanting to talk about but hell I got to get it off my chest
"It was a text from my ex trying to call his way back in my life but I ain't having it" I said remembering why I was single in the first place
