Sam stands in front of Castiel helping Cas getting ready for your wedding day. It was a bittersweet day as the two were happy for you that you were getting married but they both had always hoped that on your wedding day you would be marrying a certain green-eyed hunter.
Dean and you together until the day of his death......and Sam still misses his brother every day. He wishes Dean could come back and bring you back to the bunker then the two of you could get married....but he knows that isn't going to happen...it had been two years since his brother was killed if he was going to come back, he would have by now...Well, at least that's what he thought until a noise coming from the hotel room's entrance catches his attention.
"I don't understand why can't I wear my trench coat?" asks Castiel with a small frown of confusion making Sam until the sound of someone trying to break in grabs his attention
"What was that?" asks Sam looking around with his hand already on the gun tucked into his waistband
Neither of the men was expecting any guests to come by so they were expecting the worst as they took off towards the front door. Sam kept his gun up ready to shoot whoever had come into the hotel room as Castiel and he rushed into the main room only to see a dirty Dean Winchester opening the door.
Of course, he would come back this day. Even dead he can't let another guy be with her. Sam can't help but think as tears and a smile form on his face
"Hiya, Sammy, Cas. Nice room." coughs out Dean through the dirt in his throat forcing a goofy smile on his face who as soon as he awake had tracked the man to the nice hotel which made a small chuckle escape Sam's mouth as Castiel looks relieved
It took a while for Sam and Castiel to get over the initial shock of Dean returning but when Dean said he needs to shower he quickly realized something.
"Crap!" mumbles Sam making Dean look at him confused
"Please don't tell me you booked a hotel room this nice without awesome water pressure." says Dean jokingly
"No, no, it's not that it's just we have to go so shower fast. We have somewhere to be." says Sam standing up quickly and starts to shove Dean down the hall with Castiel trailing behind
"What? Where? Is Jody expecting us? Is it Thanksgiving?" questions Dean confused before he starts thinking of Jody's pie making a smile come to his face
"No, we have a wedding to get too." replies Castiel making the confused expression return to Dean's face
"Jody's getting married?" asks Dean surprised
"No, Y/N is." answers Sam making Dean's stomach drop
Dean knew what he had said to you long before he died. That he wanted you to get out of hunting, chase after the apple pie life where you can be safe, and be happy, to move on from him. So even though he was back now and still knew all of this, he still was shocked by this news.
You stand in the room which you had used for the bride's dressing staring at the mirror in front of you. You had just finished getting ready, your hair and makeup look beautiful as well does the beautiful wedding dress you had chosen. You looked beautiful....but for some reason, you didn't feel so good. It was your wedding day and you knew that you should be over the moon with excitement but for some reason, it just felt wrong.
You loved Corey, you really did. You moved to some random small town far away from Kansas from the bunker from the memories of him like he wanted. You met Corey after you got some secretary job at some random office deciding to move on like you and he talked about. You thought Corey was very handsome and nice so when Corey finally asked out, you were a bit excited. The two of you went out and things blossomed from there. A year later Corey ended up proposing and you said yes. You were excited.....but now you weren't as much. Something felt wrong, something felt off.....It felt like something was missing.
As you continue to look in the mirror you realize it's because you aren't marrying him, that you are marrying Corey and not Dean causing you to let out a sad sigh.
A now dressed up Dean sits driver in Baby along with the tall giant and baby in the car watching silently as Dean speeds through the roads at full speed.
"Dean, don't you think we should slow down? If we get into a crash we definitely will be late for the wedding." points out Sam holding onto Baby for dear life
"There are no cars on the road calm down you big baby." says Dean who keeps his eyes and focus on the road
Dean's only focus right now is getting to you come hell or high water. He needed to stop this wedding. Dean couldn't lose you, not now, not ever. If you got married to whoever this guy is then he would lose you forever and Dean did not want that. Dean knew this may be selfish of him to stop this wedding especially after this is exactly what you two talked about should happen if Dean died, but now he is back. Dean hasn't felt this way about a girl ever in his whole entire life. Sure, he had feelings for Lisa and a few other girls but none of them made him feel the way he did with you. The two of you were the perfect match. You had a love that was definitely one in a million, it was a love that Dean never wanted to live without.

You now sit in a chair sort of staring off in thought as you were just waiting for the wedding to begin as you were finished getting ready a bit early. You still can't seem to shake the weird feeling you have coursing through your veins.

You knew most brides get what people like to call cold foot before their wedding but this didn't really feel like cold feet. You love Corey you really do but it wasn't the same love you had with Dean. With Dean, your two's love was passionate and exciting but with Corey, it was sweet and safe. It was a different kind of love but you couldn't stop from craving the one you had with Dean.....but he is dead and you don't think there is any way you will ever feel that again. You are happy with Corey and you love him a lot. You can't keep comparing him or your two's relationship to Dean and you's. You need to move on and you genuinely love Corey a lot....maybe even though it doesn't feel like it, you could just be getting cold feet. You don't know nor do you know what to do.
You take a deep inhale and out before you look in the mirror trying to calm yourself down but before you can a knock at the door grabs your attention.
As Dean gets closer and closer to the venue of your wedding as the minutes pass by faster and faster the more nervous Dean gets. Dean being Dean had started to get into his own head and was starting to question his own actions.
"Is Y/N happy with-with this guy?" asks Dean who had slowed down after a loud of nagging from Sam and silence from Castiel
"Yeah, I guess. I don't see her as much as I used too but I can tell you one thing. She may be happy but she isn't as happy as when she was with you." answers Sam already knowing what his brother is thinking
"You won't be selfish if you show up at this wedding no matter what happens I promise." adds Sam making Dean's worries melt away
"Thanks, Sam." softly whispers Dean with a small, appreciative smile
You open up the door to reveal your maid of honor, your neighbor and new best friend looking at you with a smile.
"It's time." Y/b/f announces excitedly unaware of how you feel right now
You place a huge smile on your face as you stand up taking a deep breath in before you look at her.
"I'm ready." You state with a happy tone before she squeals loudly
Dean parks Baby a bit crazily into the parking lot this time enough to make Castile a bit nervous.
"I thought you were a good driver, Dean, but that didn't seem like something a good driver would do." comments Castiel which Dean ignores before he hops out of the Impala
"Sorry baby but I got a wedding to stop." apologizes Dean as he runs towards the building with Sam and Castiel hot on his trail
You stand ready to head down the aisle the only thing separating you from doing so are the two wooden doors in front of you. You were standing waiting for Corey's father to join your side since your dad died in a hunting accident with a nervous smile on your face.
"Y/N?" You hear a voice say that you absolutely know doesn't belong to Corey's dad
You hesitant before you around thinking your mind is playing a trick on you but you just had to make sure......it wasn't. There stood an alive and handsome looking Dean Winchester.
"Dean?" You ask shocked as Dean has the same expression on his face from seeing you in your wedding dress
"You look stunning...perfect." Dean can't help but breath before a look of sadness sparks in his eyes that the dress wasn't for a wedding him and you
"Dean." Is all you can get out before you rush to the man in front of you and quickly pull him into a hug
You try not to cry as tear poke at your eyes with Dean's doing the same thing.
"Ssh, baby girl everything is okay." Dean tried to assure as he rubs your back comfortingly
"I missed you." You softly say as you bury your head into Dean's chest
"I missed you too." whispers Dean whole placing a kiss to the top of your head which is when you realize something
"Wait....how am I not sure you aren't a demon or something?" You ask pulling away a bit with a raised brow
"He isn't, we tested." answers Castiel from behind Dean and you look to see him standing next to Sam, who you then shoot a smile before your eyes return to Dean's
"So it's a big day, huh?" asks Dean softly with a little shakiness to his voice
"Yeah.....I suppose it is." You answer softly looking around awkwardly as suddenly you remember what today is since you forgot as soon as you saw Dean
Though as soon as you locked eyes with Dean again they suddenly disappeared. You then reach up giving in to your instincts and pull Dean into a very heated kiss which is when that speak, the one that you haven't felt in two years, appears making you feel as if everything was right again. Dean and you pull away smiling at each other.
"I can't marry Corey when all I want is you ." You breathe out because even though you had grown to love Corey, you would always love Dean a million time more
Dean's smile grows before he presses his lips to yours.
"What the hell is this?!" asks a loud voice which is when Dean and you pull apart again to see Corey's father making your eyes widen
"It uh-" you start to say until Corey trying to sneak out is noticed by everything
"Son?" exclaims Corey's shocked which is when Corey stops and winces before turning around
"Sorry, Y/N, dad I can't do this." Corey says before he bolted out the doors without even a small pause of hesitance
Well, I guess if I didn't call it off he would have so...I guess things worked out. You think since you definitely would have felt guilty for calling things off so late minute
"Great, I spent $20,000 for nothing!" exclaims Corey's father before he walks away shaking his head
Dean couldn't help but chuckle a little watching Corey's father leave before he looks back down at you.
"How about we get out of here?" offers Dean holding his hand out for you making you grin
"I would love too." You replied placing your hand in his before the two of you happily leave, ready to start back up where the two of you left off.....expect for maybe this time Dean won't be too scared to propose with the beautiful ring he hid understand his mattress
