(Y/N P.O.V)
The smell inside the house was overwhelming, I've never smelt anything this bad before and It made me wonder how long this man had been in here for. I instantly covered my nose and mouth with my arm.

"Ugh, that smell" I mumbled into my sleeve.

"Was even worse before we opened the windows..."

I couldn't help but gag as we rounded the corner, my eyes glued on the body that was on the floor.

"Jesus..." I looked around the room, trying to decide where to start.

The room was a mess, furniture was toppled over, garbage was piled up in some corners, the floors were cluttered with soda cans, papers and more garbage. It made me wonder how anyone could've lived in this mess.

"The victims' names Carlos Ortiz. He has a record for theft and aggravated assault" We all walked over to the body as Detective Ben explained the situation.

We all stood around listening to him, everyone was eyeing the room and dead body.

"According to the neighbours, he was kind of a loner... stayed inside most of the time, they hardly ever saw him"

I watched as Hank crouched down to look at the body "Jesus, state he's in... wasn't worth calling everybody out in the middle of the night"

"It's good that we're doing this now, I couldn't imagine leaving a dead body like this for any longer" my voice was muffled, do to my arm covering my nose and mouth.

Hank stood up and started talking to Ben, I stood for a few minutes looking at the dead body. It made me feel upset that this man had nobody to check in on him, it seemed like nobody cared for him. I frowned as I turned away from the body, taking another look around the room. I uncovered my nose and mouth, the smell was slowly leaving due to the open windows.

As Hank and Ben continued to talk, I started walking around the room. My eyes went to the TV, which was surrounded by more junk.

My eyes immediately went to the little baggie that had the contents spilled, judging by the colour of the stuff I knew it was Red Ice. I had no idea why anyone would want to do drugs. He must've been so alone that he used them for comfort.

"Of course he was using drugs..guess he liked to party" sighed as I stood up, bumping into someone behind me.

"Sorry!" I turned around and was met with brown eyes looking down at me.

"I can confirm, that is Red Ice"

"Thanks, Connor" I smiled and he nodded.

It was a bit creepy that he was standing behind me like that, but I guess he's only trying to help.

I walked into a different part of the house, there was a desk with books stacked on it, along with a cabinet on the corner. There was also a doorway leading into what looks like the kitchen, and like the other room, garbage littered the floor.

I walked over to a cabinet in the corner and opened it, finding nothing that would be useful. Just more junk and garbage, along with some clothing. This guy must've never cleaned this house at all. It makes me wonder what his android was designed to do because it definitely wasn't cleaning.

I closed it and turned around, just in time to see Connor touching what appeared to be dried blood on the ground. My eyes widened when he brought his fingers to his mouth.

"Connor! What the hell are you doing?" I quickly walked over to him, concerned that he would get some sort of disease from licking blood from the floor. That cannot be healthy for anyone, including androids.

He stood up and looked at me with a confused face as if this was the most normal thing in the world. I motioned for him to explain, he looked down at his fingers before looking back at me.

"I'm analyzing the blood, I can check samples in real time" he tilted his head as he spoke, making it really sound like this was normal. Well, I guess it last normal for an Android.

"I'm sorry, I should've warned you"

"No, it's fine, that's actually really helpful" I patted his back and continued to look around the messy house.

Hank walked over to me with crossed arms, shaking his head a bit as he approached me. I frowned, knowing he was about to lecture me.

"You know, if you listened to the whole briefing then you'd know what was going on" I rolled my eyes, here comes the dad side of Hank.

"I'm impatient, just tell me what he said"

A smirk made its way into his face at my tendency to be impatient. He never fails to tease me about it.

"They think that a kitchen knife was the murder weapon" he pointed to the knife in the floor, it was stained with dried blood, the blood now a dark brown colour.

"And, there are no signs of any break-ins. They don't know much about his android..." he trailed off while looking behind me.

I turned around, catching Connor licking some more blood off his fingers. That's gonna take some getting used to.

"What the fuck is he doing?"

"He's analyzing the blood" I shrugged, trying to make it sound a tiny bit normal. Hank stared in disbelief for a second before rubbing his temples.

"Ugh, Jesus"

"It's really helpful, he can check the samples in real time"

"Fuckin' hell, I can't believe this shit" Hank mumbled as we walked away. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit as I heard him mumble curses under his breath.

I walked over to the desk and picked up one of the magazines, rolling my eyes when I saw 'Eden Club' on the top in big letters. I threw it back onto the desk, glancing at it again before taking a look at the other books on the desk. Sex clubs disturbed me, but for some reason, I really hated the android sex clubs. It just seemed wrong to me, maybe because they're practically forced to do it.

The rest of the books were normal novels, nothing out of the ordinary.

Noticing that no one was around the body, I took this chance to examine it for myself. I walked over, and at the same time, Connor decided to also approach the body. He glanced at me when I stood beside the body.

"Are you following me?" He turned his head to me, his LED blinked yellow.

"No"

He crouched down beside the body, I watched as he analyzed him. From what I could see, he had multiple stab wounds in his chest.

I looked down at Connor, he seemed really spaced out, all his attention was on the dead body. He suddenly stood up, making me take a few steps back so he wouldn't crash into me. His LED continued to blink yellow.

"He was stabbed 28 times.." my eyes widened as I looked back down at the body. I felt sick to my stomach.

"Yeah, seems like the killer really had it in for him," Hank said as he walked over to us.

Connor stared at Hank with his mouth open a tiny bit, it looked like he was shocked from seeing this. Could androids even feel shock? I highly doubt they can.

My eyes went to the writing on the wall 'I AM ALIVE' was written in what appeared to be blood, It was too neat to be from a human, it almost looked like it was typed onto the wall. My eyes traced the letters, questions running through my mind.

"It's in CyberLife Sans" I looked at Connor who was still standing behind me, his LED back to the blue colour. My eyebrow raised slightly.

"Wow, you guys have your own font"

"Yes, all androids use it" I nodded, it seemed logical that they would write neatly.

I walked away from the body, not really wanting to be around it any longer. The smell was too bad, plus just seeing it made my stomach turn.

I made my way into the kitchen, noticing dried blood on the doorframe. The table and chairs were flipped over, making it look like a tornado went through. There was more blood and garbage on the floor, just like the rest of the house.

I opened the back door and stepped outside, noticing footprints outside in the mud. Maybe he got out this way?

"Door was locked from the inside. Killer must've got out this way" Hank spoke from behind me, taking the words right out of my mouth.

Connor walked up beside me and looked at the footprints, his eyes flickered between them.

"There are no footprints, apart from officer Collins size 10 shoes"

"Well, This did happen weeks ago, the tracks probably faded" I crossed my arms, shivering a bit. It seems to be colder out than earlier.

"No, this type of soil would've retained a trace" Connor looked over at me "nobody's been out here for a long time". I sighed as I looked around outside, noticing that the yard was as messy as the inside.

"That's one possibility off the list then" I shrugged.

"You should go back inside, your body temperatures dropping" Connor nodded at me as he walked back inside.

Hank and I followed, I closed the door behind us. I would've left it open to get the smell out of the house, but it's way too cold to do that.

"Maybe it's still inside the house?" I thought out loud.

"I doubt it, it's been weeks since the murder" Hank walked back into the living room.

I walked into the kitchen and started looking around. There was more dried blood on the wall, along with another android sex magazine on the counter. This guy was obsessed with that, it was actually really creepy.

I noticed Connor spaced out again, this time crouched over a baseball bat. It seemed out of place in the kitchen.

"I think I've figured out what happened" he motioned for me to follow him.

He walked over to Hank, who was leaning against a wall, watching everyone walk around. He glanced at us as we approached.

"I think I've figured out what happened" he repeated what he said in the kitchen.

"Oh yeah? Shoot. I'm all ears."

"It all started in the kitchen" we followed him into the kitchen, he seemed to be deep in thought as he spoke.

"There are obvious signs of struggle... the question is, what exactly happened here..." Hank looked at Connor, waiting for him to explain.

Connor turned around to face Hank and me, his eyes drifted between us, almost as if he was choosing his next words very carefully. I felt a blush creep onto my face as he looked into my eyes.

"I think the victim attacked the android with the bat" Hank nodded, motioning for him to continue, he was listening intently to Connors words.

"The android stabbed the victim"

"So the android was defending itself?" I questioned and Connor nodded.

"The victim fled to the living room" we all walked back into the living room, Hank and I following Connor.

"And he tried to get away from the android" I finished his sentence, causing him to look back at me.

"Alright, That makes sense" Hank spoke while looking at the body.

"The android murdered the victim with the knife"

"Okay, your theory's not totally ridiculous, but it doesn't tell us where the android went" Hank crossed his arms.

"It was damaged by the bat... and lost some Thirium"

"Lost some what?" I raised an eyebrow.

I've heard of Thirium before, but I never really bothered looking up what it actually was.

"Thirium. You may call it 'blue blood'"

"It's the fluid that powers androids biocomponents. It evaporates after a few hours and becomes invisible to the naked eye"

"So, it's basically just your blood?" I questioned and he seemed to think about it.

"Yes, to put it simply"

"But you can still see it?" I smirked at him and he nodded.

"Correct"

"What're we waiting for? Let's find this deviant!" Hank rolled his eyes at me and I could see Connor give a tiny smile.
