(Y/n) Pov
I was just 5 years old at the time. I didn't know much of what was going on in the world. I was just a kid back then. Little did I know that on my 10th birthday I would come to a shocking revelation.
I was walking during the night, it was dark(No shit Sherlock). I yawned as I was going to bed oblivious to my surroundings. Till I stumble upon a door I haven't seen before. I see it slowly open and close from the breeze that was coming from there. I began to get close to the door and slowly opened it revealing steps that lead downwards. I slowly began traveling down.
I regretted it so bad. It was the worst thing I have ever witnessed. Bodies were lying around the room, butchered bodies, a leg here, a hand there. I was disgusted but I couldn't look away. I kept on moving forwards taking in my surroundings. Thats when I heard.. crying? I reached the front of a cell where said crying came from.
A girl with light blue hair. She looked the same age as me. She was locked up, her hands on her knees rocking back and forth. She was crying.. saying "Mommy.. Daddy.. Why.."
When she laid eyes on me I got a view of two gorgeous blue orbs that resembled the sky. After a bit of staring she quickly backed away from the Bars that seperater her from me.
???: GET AWAY I'LL KILL YOU!! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!
I backed away in complete stupor as her blue eyes looked at me with pure hatred and despise.
(Y/n): I.. I'm not going to hurt you...
I tried comforting her but her eyes shook violently at me she let out a laugh.
???: Hahaha.. Sure.. Not now but soon.. You are a little brat who has gotten everything from them haven't you..? Guess what same thing for me!! I was also their "child" till they put me in here.. I was also there growing up with you I saw you a couple of times.. but we were never able to speak through out allll those years.
I looked at her and listened to her silently while she spoke. She lived here as well? But how come I never saw her? How come we never met?
???: I guess they preferred you over me. Let them take you in spoil you.. Then stab you in the back.. and and.. do things to you because you are weak and defenseless and and..
She started to cry again.
???: I want to die.. I hate it here.. please just let me be reunited with my real family...
I just stood there and felt a pit of despair fill up my stomache. I never felt do much rage and disgust. What the hell was going on? Why was this innocent girl in such a position? Why? why? Why!?
(Y/n): I'll be back..
I turned to walk away and could hear the girl sniffle some more. I walked past all the dead bodies again. Up the stairs his eyes glazed over devoid of emotion and life.
I overheard my "Parents" if I could even call them that, talking and so I did what anyone else would have done and eavesdropped.
???: When will the payment come in Ricardo? I'm sick if having to watch over this brat already. I just wanna get rid of him.
She spoke to a man that was standing opposite of the room. Ricardo who was apparently my "Father" all this time and the person he spoke to was my "Mother".
Ricardo: In a weeks time honey. After this last little venture we can rest at ease with all the cash in the world. We'd be swimming in pools of gold and riches for the rest of our lives!!. Once the money comes in I will let you have your fun with (Y/n). But for now you will have to make due with little old Sky.
"Mother" grinned widely at the mention of her.
"Mother": Ohh yessss she tends to let out the best screams ever. I love it when she begs for death. It makes me want to torture her more and moreeeee.
She hugged herself sadistically while having a full on grin from cheek to cheek.
I think of how hurt, scared and betrayed Sky was. I couldn't help but feel like throwing up after seeing those bodies.. but I shook it off.
I went back to my room and retreived my favorite teddy. I took out a knife I had concealed in my room. Assasins.. I was always addicted to that. I trained all my life to become one.. Well as much as a Kid like could have. I knew it would dissappoint Mother and Father. But then again they weren't my parents anymore now which gave me a lot more to think about. I hid the knife inside the teddy and held it close to my chest and walked back to my "Parents" room. I opened the door the both of them turning around in surprise.
(Y/n): I.. I had a bad dream.. a.. a monster came and hurt Mommy and Papa.. So.. So I wanna be here to make sure nothing happens..
They both looked at me with fake smiles. She pat the bed saying "Oh come here honey" I climbed the bed and she put me close to her chest.
Mother: Its gonna be okay. We'll protect you.
Ricardo laid on the other side and smiled at me warmly. He then dozed off to sleep and so did Mother. I laid there for what felt like hours and began my move. I slowly took out the knife from inside my teddy bear.
I sat up and looked at Ricardo. All my life. All my damn life was a lie. These weren't my parents they were corrupt fucks who would be put in their place.
I stabbed him in the throat. He opened his eyes in shock not being able to make a sound but only let out a gurgle here and there. I plunged the knife deeper into his throat killing him.
Mother stirred she felt something wet on her face and when she awoke she quickly turned the lamp on only to see Ricardo with his throat cut open.
Mother: Wh... WHA-
I had went behind her when she had stirred in the bed and put one hand over her mouth.
(Y/n): Where are the keys.. To Sky's cell.
I wasn't really asking I was demanding the location of the keys. I could feel her shaking and sweating. She pointed to the drawer. I looked over at it and removed my hand from her mouth slowly. She didn't turn around.
(Y/n): The monster in the dream.. Was me..
She quickly went for the door but I quickly plunged the knife into her back and back out causing her to fall onto the floor.
(Y/n): Know what it feels like to be "toyed" with..
Bit by bit he cut her fingers off and nose then ears. He tortured her brutally. Kinda fucked up for a 10yr old. But hey she did this all her life.
I went to get the keys and began my way towards the girl. I didn't care about the red liquid that managed to land on me. All I wanted was to help her and get out of here. I reached her and stood infront of the bars. She looked at me only to see me covered in blood.
Sky: Wh.. what are you going to do to me!? I.. i'll kill you!!
She tried to stand up but being weak from being starved and tortured she couldn't do a thing. I opened the cellar door and approached her, she was terrified but was surprised when I hugged her and caressed her hair gently.
(Y/n): We're getting out of here.. For good..
She blinked multiple times and cried. She would finally be set free from this hell hole thanks to him.
Sky's Pov
I was able to get a closer look at him. His white spiky hair that had splatters of red. His eyes matched the very same color of the blood he was covered in. Crimson red but lifeless. Yet he showed me kindness despite of his emotionless expression. He hugged me and patted my head then he broke the hug and smiled. He told me we would leave for good I couldn't help but cry because I was so happy.
I couldn't walk or anything I could only crawl. All the torture and starvation was catching up to me. He picked me up and made sure I was secure enough. I nuzzled my head into his chest and put both my arms on my chest. I was finally gonna be able to get out of here thanks to him.
Third Person Pov
A loud scream came from where the two dead bodies were and guards had rushed at the scene.
(Y/n): Are you ready?
He looked at her and she weakly nodded. At this he went on an all out sprint from the door running from hall to hall. He stopped when he felt something come from behind him. With the reflexes of a cat he managed turn around fast enough and dodge the incoming projectile. A spear that had grazed his cheek when he tilted his head out of the way implanting itself behind him.
???: Well well well what is this. Young (Y/n)? Did ya find out what they were truly up to and are planning an escape? Oh you should know better.
He had been the captain of the guards. Captain Montroni. He was a master with the spear and could easily hit targets from up to a mile away and the the ridiculous amoumt that were on his back weren't just for show.
(Y/n): Tch.. Would you kindly allow me to exit the building?
Montroni just laughed.
Montroni: Oh please no amount of politeness will-
Before he could finish his sentence (Y/n) had jumped out of a window and began a wild sprint to the woods. Montroni just stood there with a tick mark forming on his head.
Montroni: You BASTARRRDDDDD!!!!!
(Y/n) could hear him land on the ground which wasn't good news. They were in an open field which meant Montroni had an advantage.
When he landed on the floor he looked ahead and saw his prey.
Montroni: I could always use the target practice.
He pulled out his spear and aimed carefully at the boy. He would not miss this seeing how far the woods were from (Y/n) he would not make it there in time.
He launched the spear with a lot of force that it seemed to be moving like a bullet. (Y/n) was inches away from the forest. That is till something pierced his right shoulder. It forced him to fall down but he made sure to protect Sky from the fall. The spear went clean through his right shoulder. A hole visible.
He cleanched his teeth but the pain was there.
(Y/n): DAMMIT!
He cursed to himself as he felt his shoulder begin to bleed.
Sky quickly looked over at where he was the hole purely visible she did not know what to do. She could hear the loud laughter of Montroni getting closer.
(Y/n): I'm sorry but go on without me..
He spoke in seperate breaths.
Sky looked over at his now standing figure holding a knife.
Sky: No! I can't just leave you here!
(Y/n) looked at her and sent her a glare saying get away. Now.
She quickly got the jist and with what little energy she had left she slowly got up.. she looked at the ground with tears.
Sky: Please don't die!! I'll never forgive you!!
She then ran away into the forest.
(Y/n): ....
He turned around to Montroni who now only stood a few feet away.
Montroni: That was dramatic. But oh well too bad you won't be leaving alive.
(Y/n) smirked he had some surprises seeing as how he would train in assasination teqhniques. How he read many many books on assasin training. How he would force himself past the limits of a 10yr old. But even with that Montroni had years of experience. More than what (Y/n) could have but right now he had to make due with what he knows.
Sky's Pov
I had stopped running some time ago. I wanted to go back but what could I do? I would only get in his way and as far as I know he looked like he could take care of himself. I was on the ground panting I laid on a tree stump being overcomed with exhaustion. Sleep was slowly consuming me as my eyes slowly forced themselves shut I prayed on one thing.
Sky: (Y/n).. Please.. Come back I don't wanna be alone..
I had woken up and looked around. The sun made my eyes sting but I was slowly able to make out that I was moving. Being carried actually. I looked up to see (Y/n) slowly walking with me in his arms.
I saw his face and body was covered in cuts and bruises. I couldn't help but feel guilty at the sight. I ran while he stayed behind.
(Y/n) Pov
I looked down to see that Sky was finally awake. It had been 2 days since she fell asleep but she didn't need to know that. After my fight with Montrioni I.. wasn't able to kill him since more guards would show up if I took too long. He had too much skill and experience which I lacked. I decided I would wait for an opening and knock him out. An opening did come but at a price. He had impaled my side so I used that to my advantage. I had pulled the spear deeper into my side and punched him with all my strength on the side of his head the blow was not strong enough to kill him though.
He had fallen flat on the floor unconcious. I was exhausted due to blood loss. I quickly saw he had a pouch of sorts. To my luck he had bandages, band aids, simple things needed to treat injuries. I used them on most of my injuries there wasn't enough for all of them so I used it on the most important ones ignoring the bruise's and scratches. I could hear the footsteps of soldiers and in a rush I left.
Sky looked at me with sad eyes but she was happy inside. I just knew it when she let out a smile.
Sky: I'm glad you are back.. she nuzzled her head to my chest and went back to sleep.
I smiled at her and decided I would prepare for whatever comes next.
