Kevin Tran lets a tear fall down his face as he holds an in and out of conscious Brooke in his arms.
"Castiel!" calls Kevin as tears flow freely down his face while sobs threaten to rake his body
"Brooke.....please don't leave me." says Kevin softly his tears while tears fall down his face and onto the brown-haired girl
"Please." begs Kevin softly as he rests his forehead against Brooke's
Brooke and Kevin got to know each other because of the Winchesters. After Gabriel, Brooke's father died, the Winchester and a certain angel took the green-eyed girl under their wings. Brooke being a Nephilim and a very powerful one due to her father not just being a regular angel but an archangel made her quite wanted. Luckily nobody besides the Winchesters, Castiel, Kevin, and her father knew about this certain fact about her or else she would be the most wanted supernatural being. The angels and the demon would be fighting after her.
Though when the demon tablet fell into the Winchesters hands and they decided to hoard up Kevin onto a ship filled with warding, they also put Brooke onto the ship as well. They gave her the reason of protecting Kevin but both knew it was really because they wanted to the green-eyed girl away from Crowley as much as they wanted the demon tablet away from him. Brooke was now family to the Winchester and Castiel so of course, they would do anything to keep her safe. Right now the best place for her to be is the boat so that's where they decided to board her up at. They would rather die than let Crowley get his slimy hands on Brooke and her powers.
This in return forced Kevin and Brooke to become friends because when two people are stuck together in a tiny boat in the middle of nowhere they are either get along or they kill each other. Luckily instead of the two of them ending getting put in body bags the two of them each gained a new friend.
Brooke was attempting to get the small satellite tv in the boat to work but nothing was working. So finally after two hours of messing with the thing she gave up and flopped down on the chair admitting defeated.
"I'm bored." whined Brooke who is slightly going crazy from nothing to do
"Can you please be quiet? I'm trying to work." said Kevin finally looking up from where he was hunched over the demon table trying to decode it with clear annoyance in his tone that Brooke is not letting him focus
"No." answered Brooke with a mischievous smirk before she flies so she is standing next to Kevin startling him
"I hate it when you do that." mumbled Kevin trying to get his heart rate to slow down
Brooke smirked but said nothing in response.
"Are you almost done?" asked Brooke looking at the papers scattered all around the tablet making Kevin sigh
"Not even close." Kevin answered as he placed his head in his hands
"Hmm, you have been working on this nonstop and you aren't even close?" Brooke questioned and Kevin shake his head no in response
"Maybe you should take a break?" suggested Brooke with a raised brow
"No, I-I can't do that. Sam and Dean are counting on me. I have to figure this out." Kevin, who has huge under eye bags and look of stress on his face, dismissed the idea
"I'm not saying a long one just tonight. Get some sleep, eat, and relax somethings you haven't done in weeks." Brooke pointed out feeling slightly worried for the dark-haired not
"I have to get this done." said Kevin who starts to go back to work until Brooke grabbed the demon tablet and whooshed to the other side of the room
"Well, tonight you aren't. You are taking a break." Brooke stated with a serious look
"I don't have time to take a break give it back!" exclaimed Kevin clearing with a mixture of anger and annoyance
"No." replied Brooke, not at all intimated with a shake of her head
Kevin lets out an annoyed sigh as he rubs his temple knowing that he can't beat the determined girl who has the same twinkle in her eye that his mother got when she wanted something. Kevin's mom always got what she wanted.
"Fine...but when six a.m. arrives break is over." Kevin gives in making Brooke smile in victory
"Deal." bargained Brooke with a grin
Two hours later, Brooke sits across from Kevin playing a game of UNO.
"I win." said Kevin proudly as he sat down the card on top of the deck
Brooke groaned as she gets down her deck of cards.
"I give up. You have won everyone game." pouted Brooke annoyed making Kevin laugh
For the first time since the two of them arrived at the ship, Brooke saw really genuine happiness in Kevin's dark brown eyes.
"Thanks for tonight it has been fun. I'm glad you convinced me to take a break.....more like forced really." said Kevin with a smile through his words make Brooke chuckle
"No problem besides losing a lot I had fun too." said Brooke with a smile
"Plus I learned that you can in fact smile today." Brooke added with a jokingly before Kevin playfully shoves Brooke while the two burst out in laughter
The two of them's friendship bloomed from there. Brooke and Kevin hung out every day since neither of them can rarely leave the boat due to safety. Brooke and Kevin took turns cooking meals though normally they ended up doing it together and dancing around while the waited for it to finish baking slash cooking. Brooke would attempt every day at help Kevin with the tablet and would end up quitting an hour later which Kevin found funny. Occasionally Kevin would take an hour break but mostly he spent his time trying to decode the tablet though that didn't the stop the two of them from growing closer. Brooke and Kevin's friendship grow more and more every day until it grew into something different.
Somewhere behind the goofy dances while making breakfast and occasionally playing random board games the two of their's feelings went from just friendly ones to something much more.
Kevin and Brooke stood in the kitchen doing there morning ritual of cooking this time they were making pancakes. A small radio was sat on the kitchen counter near the fridge playing some random radio station.
"Well we have about three minutes until we have to flip the pancakes so..." started Kevin turning to look at you
"Dance time!" Brooke finished for Kevin with a smile as this is her favorite part of the day before she turns the radio volume up
Brooke and Kevin dance around both of them doing purposely cheesy moves. Brooke finishes doing the moonwalk with a laugh. She then watched as Kevin starts doing the springer laughing as she watches. Kevin grins as continues to dance before suddenly he starts to fall slipping on some pancake batter.
"Aah!" says Kevin as he starts to fall which is when Brooke flies to catch him
Brooke has arms wrapped around Kevin stopping him falling. Kevin opens his eyes when he doesn't hit the floor to see Brooke's face only inches from him. Kevin and Brooke's breast hitches as they look into each other's eyes.
"T-thanks." stumbles out Kevin softly
"No problem." breathes says Brooke, her eyes locked with Kevin's
Kevin then decides to take the risk and leans his head up to press his lips to Brooke's. Brooke immediately kisses him back causing Kevin to smile into the kiss.
That was possibly the best of Kevin's life and today is possibly the worse.
Brooke had gone out to get Kevin and her food plus some groceries. The two of them weren't supposed to leave the ship but they were out of groceries plus they both didn't want to cook that day. So Brooke decided to venture out to get the food while Kevin focused on the demon tablet. That's when things went horribly wrong.
Brooke was loading the groceries she had bought into the car she hotwired after getting food from Kevin's favorite takeout place. Brooke smiled as she thought of the look on her boyfriend's face when he sees the special takeout while she shuts the hood of her car. Brooke starts to head towards the driver's seat until a certain voice behind her stops her in her takes.
"I know who and what you really are. You are the archangel Gabriel's daughter a Nephilim." said a voice very close behind Brooke and she quickly turned around with a glare on her face
Brooke then came face to face with Crowley.
"Now that you know that I am going to have to kill you." said Brooke seriously though her words make Crowley smirk
"I think it's the contrary darling." said Crowley before he uses the angel blade he had in his face to cut Brooke's neck open revealing her grace
Brooke stood still as if paralyzed as her grace pours out of her and into a little vile Crowley has. Once all of Brooke's grace is drained, she gasped loudly stumbling a little as blood pools from the cut on her neck. Brooke had no time to recover before Crowley stabbed her in the stomach with the knife and then pulls it back out.
"Well..have a nice drive home if you make it home that is." says Crowley before he disappeared as Brooke gasped in pain
Brooke then had stumbled into the ship clutching a rag now soaked in blood to her stomach before she collapsed to the floor. Which is why Kevin had rushed her to side calling her name and is now crying as he holds her in his arms.
"Castiel!" calls out Kevin not noticing that Brooke's chest has stopped rising and falling
Suddenly Kevin heard a woosh and there was the certain blue-eyed.
"You called." states Castiel who has not yet noticed Brooke in his Kevin's arms
"Heal her!" instructs Kevin desperately holding Brooke's body out to Castiel
Castiel's eyes widen before he rushes to Brooke and quickly presses two of his fingers to Brooke's forehead.
"She..she's gone." breathes out Castiel slightly stunned
"Is...isn't there something you can do? You know can't you bring her back or something?" questions Kevin trying to stop from sobbing
"I'm sorry." apologizes Cas looking at the boy sympathetically
Kevin nods which is when Castiel disappears from the room. Kevin's bottom lip quivers before he finally lets his sobs out.
"I should have gone, I-I'm sorry...Brooke. I need you. I love you please....I'm sorry I didn't tell you before but please come back." sobs Kevin though he knows Brooke isn't suddenly going to wake up
"I love you Brooke so, so much. I'll always love you."
