Chapter 20:Mysterious Gifts
It's was Christmas.I was asleep in my dorm that I shared with Daphne Greengrass and Natalia Wilde.Since it was just us two,in the middle of the night I invited Natalia,she was awake.
I woke up and next to my bed was a window,with snow covering it up.
I saw lights shine through our door.Last night the Slytherin prefects decorated the Common Room.It had Silver and Green lights hanging on the walls as a tree was up,
The Slytherins preferred dark & light,we could barely see the light outside since our common room was under water,with a Giant Squid outside floating about.
That's why people call the Slytherin Common Room a dungeon.
I was sitting on a window that had my bed under it,Natalia's was opposite mine and Daphne's was next to mine.
On my window there was a letter.No owl.Because of the snow,I opened it up and read it carefully,

I'm glad your not mad Lynx,you remind me so much of Bellatrix,she didn't care who he was having a marriage with,she only cared if it was a Pureblood-Slytherin.And yes your right Draco has asked if Blaise,and Theodore can come over on the summer.
Yes I know the Greengrass's they are pure bloods,I'm glad that your friends with them.And I've heard of the Wilde's too,when I told Lucius that you were friends with Natalia Wilde,he was happy.Daphne Greengrass can come,I've heard she's a Slytherin,and I've heard Natalia Wilde is a Ravenclaw like you,So they can both come.
Lucius has known the Wilde's for quite a time know,there father works at the ministry,along with there mother.He has also known there sons,Cole and Cameron Wilde.Lucius and Cameron,get along well,like father,like son.

Under the letter I realized they left me a present.It was wrapped,silver with a green bow on the top,I opened it up and revealed a beautiful necklace.
Smiling,I read the note that was on it,

This is a Black Family heirloom,there are many others that will be giving to you once you are of age since you are the last Black and the Black heir.
,your other aunt,Bellatrix,was a black like me until she was a Lestrange,She used to were this all the time until she married Rabastan Lestrange's brother,Rodolphus.

And then Daphne and Natalia woke up looking round to see decorations made by the Head Girl.
Natalia's eyes widened as she nearly screamed,"Christmas!"
Snorting I grinned at her as she glared at me handing me my present as I handed her my present to her.
I gave Daphne a present too,she then gave me her present.
Before opening them we got dressed.
Daphne got dressed into jeans with trainers and a white top,when Alia got dressed into a black leggings,slippers and a. Grey top.
I opened up my present from Natalia,and it was a book that had hexes and curses,
From Daphne I got a infinity ring that I borrowed from her for the Yule Ball
Since me,Daphne and Alia stayed for Christmas,Draco,Blaise and the Slytherin Quidditch team stayed,but Theo had to go home for family 'events' his father Edgar Nott wanted to talk about.
Today since it was Christmas,we wanted to do Quidditch matches across the houses.
Ravenclaw Vs Slytherin,whoever wins goes against Gryffindor,whoever wins against them goes againt Hufflepuff and whoever wins,they are the winning house.
All the houses planned it last Hosgmeade,and the teachers caught wind of it so they were going to judge,
My team had practiced everyday,
Ravenclaw captain was Rodger Davies,Seeker was Cho Chang,Chasers were me,Lynx Black,Rodger Davies and Jake Samuels.
The beaters were:Duncan Inglbee and Jason Samuels(Jake Samuels brother)

I walked down the girls dorm,and sit on the sofa,in the Slytherin Common Room In between Daphne and Alia,opposite the Slytherin Quidditch team(Marcus Flint,Draco Malfoy,Blaise Zabini,Adrian Pucey,Lucian Bole,Crabbe,David Montague)
I sighed when my dog,Tucker's was in my arms as Flint,Draco,Blaise and Adrian were staring at him amused.
I stood up as Draco asked curiously,"Where are you going"
"Breakfast"
Then that's when the Slytherins remembered it was morning,and they all pushed me to go through the portrait.
I groaned saying,"If you weren't idiots you would realize that there's something called 'ladies first' But of course I would've let you all go"
There was a snickers behind me as I spinned around And noticed Adrian Pucey,and Montague was there along with Victor and his friends.
I narrowed my eyes at them and left to got to the Great Hall with Alia and Daphne next to me grinning at my outburst.
When we entered I sat with them on the Slytherin Table talking to each other.
Then as owls came through one came to me I looked at it confused when a letter dropped in front of me.
"You weren't expecting anything were you?"Daphne asked
"No"
I opened up the letter and there was a small note and a box.
I opened up the letter and read it out louder only Daphne and Alia could hear.
"To Lynx Black
You wouldn't know who I am know.
But if you did then,know wonder you inherited your mothers intelligence.
Im proud of you.
Unknown"
Alia and a Daphne looked at me until Alia asked curiously,"Are you sure you weren't expecting anything?"She emphasized on 'anything'
I nodded slowly and said,"No,but I would expect Theo to-"
Then Daphne quickly said,"There's another one here"
Curiously,I said,"Wait let me open the package that was from 'Unknown'"
Sighing I opened it up and it revealed a gorgeous bracelet,that I thought was either a Black or Volkov family heirloom.Since it was gold.
I was gaping at him wide eyed as I shook my head and clinked it onto my hand.
I opened the other letter and read it,

Happy Christmas!My father wanted my to come home because of family 'events' he's been interested in you.I miss you and I'm sorry I couldn't stay for Christmas,Draco,Blaise and the Slytherin Quidditch team owled me and said there was a Quidditch Tournament among all 4 houses?
Slytherin is going to win.Or if not maybe Ravenclaw,Hufflepuff haven't won once since there last seeker graduated 4 years ago.
And Gryffindor haven't won since Charlie Weasley left Hogwarts.I miss you see you soon.

Smiling I looked at the package and opened it.
A ring,it wasn't a normal ring.It had words engraved on it.'Theo Nott & Lynx Nott'
I sighed and walked inside the Slytherin Toilets.There were a girls and boys,but I didn't notice that I walked into the ones that boys and girls go in.I was thankful it was the Slytherins.
Without noticing Crabbe and Goyle walked in smirking at me when I was I front of the sink washing my hands."So is this Malfoy's cousin?The Lynxas Black,seems that Malfoy are now friends with Nott and Zabini instead of us Crabbe"Goyle said smirking at me.
Crabbe grunted which I meant that was a 'yes'.
"So?Its not like I can make Draco make you be his 'guardians again'"I said rolling my eyes.
"We know that's why we are going to do this"Crabbe grinned.
Then a few minutes later I was on the floor bleeding.I groaned as Goyle smirked saying,"We know you won't tell Malfoy,Nott or Zabini"
Then they walked out leaving me here.
Then Marcus Flint and Adrian Pucey and Montague walked in they stared at me wide eyed as I said grinning,"Staring won't help"
I groaned as Flint said,"We're going to tell Malfoy-"
"Don't!Tell Daphne and Natalia,not anyone else"
I groaned loudly making blood pour out more,as there eyes widened when Adrian said,"Me and Monty will stay here you go and get them"Montague didn't protest with his nickname since it was an emergency,
Flint opened his mouth to protest but Adrian cut him off saying,"No,man us Slytherins are family,we never leave a snake standing alone"
Flint nodded and quickly walked out I groaned and said,"You know I'm going to kill myself soon if I haven't already"
Montague chuckled then his face was serious as he said,"Who was it it?"
I sighed and said slowly,"Crabbe and Goyle"There eyes was widened as they opened there mouths until I cut them of saying,
"I know you never betray your kind,You never betray serpent kind.I know the laws Monty,Adrian"I say
"Serpent law one.A serpent never shows cowardice/A serpent never stands alone.
Number two,if a serpent is killed or imprisoned there family will be taken care of
,Serpent law 3 No serpent is left for the dead and a serpent always sheds his or her skin,
Serpent law 4 A serpent never betrays his or her own.
And lastly,In Unity there is Strength "I recite
Adrian and Monty smile at me as Adrian says,"I'm glad you remember the Serpent Rules, Lynx,we remember the initiation there were 3 things you had to do,you had to remember all 5 rules,you had to get a knife from a rattlesnake then get beaten up once by every Serpent"
Then in came rushing Daphne and Natalia with a panting Marcus Flint behind them,
Natalia and Daphne looked up and there eyes were on me.
