Kara's POV
"Damn it." I mumbled under my breath as I felt the rain starting to fall again.
Tumigil kami sa harap ng cave. Chase was already there but he was staring at the guy standing at the entrance. Napatingin kami kay Trev na tila nakatulala.
"Trev! Nakita mo ba si Cesia? Huhuhu! Nawawala siya ihh!" nag-aalalang tugon ni Art.
Napansin ko ang vial na gumulong at nahulog mula sa kweba. Pinulot ko ito at napagtantong ito yung vial na may lamang tubig mula sa Underworld.
And the problem here is...
wala na itong laman.
"The fuck is that?!" hinablot ni Ria ang vial mula sa kamay ko.
Napatingin ako sa lalaking nakatayo sa harap namin at walang kibo.
"Wait. Sinong gumamit nito?! Bakit ubos na ang laman nito?!" sigaw ni Ria.
Gods.
Bakit hindi ko naisip yon?!
Nung mapansin ko ang putik sa jeans niya, that was because the night before, he sneaked out to retrieve the vial that was hidden somewhere in the cave.
And then now... ginamit niya ito para kay Cesia.
Hindi ko alam kung paano niya pinainom ito ni Cesia.. so he must have forced her to drink it.
Cesia...
I expect Cesia to be atleast unconscious after drinking it.. but now, she's gone.
Which means we were right.
Cesia has gone somewhere in the past.
"Trev!" napalingon ako kay Ria na pulang-pula ang mukha dahil sa matinding galit. "Anong ginawa mo kay Cesia?!"
"T-teka.. pinainom niya si Cesia n-nun?" nagtataka si Art.
Hindi sumagot si Trev.
"Trev!" hindi na napigilan ni Ria ang kanyang sarili. Her eyes already turned to gold. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!"
Ria was quick. Madali siyang nakasummon ng weapon. It was a spear... and it hit right below Trev's chest.
My eyes widened. Nagulat ako sa ginawa ni Ria. Ngunit mas nagulat ako nang hindi man lang gumalaw si Trev. Hindi niya iniwasan ito.
Blood trickled down his shirt but he was still motionless. Yumuko lang siya para tignan ang weapon na nakabaon sa katawan niya.
"Dio! Make a barrier now!" utos ko sa katabi ko na nagulat rin sa nangyari.
"What do you mean make a barrier?" kumunot ang kanyang noo. "He didn't get to protect her. He deserves the pain."
What the hell.
Umiling-iling ako. "You don't understand. He's already hurt!"
"Ano-"
"JUST DO IT SON OF POSEIDON!" napasigaw ako.
He quickly summoned a barrier that was made out of water. Tinakpan nito ang entrance ng cave.
Bago pa umatake si Ria at ilabas ang matinding galit niya, tumakbo ako sa harap ng barrier para pigilan siya.
"Even if you wound him. Ria." humihingal ako. "He's not going to take her back."
Because he can't.
He had made the decision.
He chose to send her alone somewhere in time where she can find Mnemosyne. Alam kong isang malaking desisyon ito para sa kanya knowing that Cesia will be left vulnerable.
Kailangan niyang mahanap si Mnemosyne sa madaling panahon.
Mnemosyne is the only one who has seen everything.
She's the only one who knows the Song of the Rebellion.
The key.
The way to end it.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE CAN'T TAKE HER BACK?!" Ria's hand tightened around her golden sword.
Huminga ako ng malalim. This is it. This is the part where I tell them the truth, isn't it?
I stared at them for a long time.
"Because she's a descendant of Mnemosyne."
Agad nabitawan ni Ria ang weapon at tinitigan rin ako ng napakatagal. I can hear the water barrier behind me break dahil pati si Dio nabigla rin sa sinabi ko.
They all have the same looks on their face.
"Wait what?!" nanlalaki ang mga mata ni Seht.
I took a deep breath and sighed. Before speaking, I swallowed what felt like a clump on my throat. Gods. Mangyayari na talaga to.
"The rebels..." I looked at them with a serious expression. "They were looking for the son of Mnemosyne. That's why the killing of demigods started as well."
I paused to breathe.
"Years ago, in Mt. Pinatubo. The mist thickened within one night. The mist was at its heaviest because the rebels were trying to hide someone from the Olympians." I looked at them. They were all stunned. Hindi rin sila gumagalaw.
Maliban nalang kay Art na napasinghap. "Yung anak ni Mnemosyne!"
Tumango ako. "After that night, the killings in the mortal realms stopped. This means they were able... to kill her son."
Paulit-ulit na nireport ng mga huntres sa'min na wala na talaga ang anak ni Mnemosyne. No traces or anything.
But they were wrong.
Because that man left something.
Another child.
Napasabunot si Dio sa kanyang buhok. "So how the hell does that connect with Cesia because we are seriously confused here-"
"Gabriel Young."
I finally told them of the name.
The name that caused all the commotion between the rebels and the Olympians. Ito ang pangalan na naging dahilan kung bakit hindi ako nakakatulog ng maayos bawat gabi kakaisip kung anong meron sa kanya.
"Gabriel Young was the son of Mnemosyne."
They all had the same reactions.
Confused.. Angry.. Nervous.. Sad.. kitang-kita ko ang halo-halong mga emosyon sa kanilang mga mukha.
"SO IBIG SABIHIN... IBIG SABIHIN LOLA NIYA SI MNEMOSYNE?! GANON?!" tila hindi makapaniwala si Thea.
I nodded. "Remember when we were sent for a mission to collect the refugees because they were being attacked?"
"Shit. Naalala ko nga." sagot ni Chase.
"They were being attacked because the massacre is not done yet. After the rebels found out that Gabriel had another child, they are still on the hunt looking out for someone with special abilities... ever since."
"the special abilities that Cesia has." si Ria ang dumugtong.
It took a while for them to understand the story. Hindi maipinta ang kanilang mukha while they were letting everything sink in.
Meanwhile, napalingon ako kay Trev na dahan-dahang hinatak ang spear. Bumaba siya at napatingin sa kanila.
Sa ngayon, hindi pa rin tumitigil ang pagbuhos ng ulan.
I gave him a sad smile.
Alam ko na kung bakit hindi niya sinabi sa'kin ang kanyang plano. Dahil baka magdadalawang-isip siyang gawin ito.

Everyone knows that the water in Trophonius' cave contains drops from the rivers Lethe and Mnemosyne. Both can be alarmingly dangerous if taken.
Drinking water from the river Lethe at a certain amount can cause complete forgetfulness.

Dahil kapag mali ang hinala namin at hindi pala descendant ni Mnemosyne si Cesia, tiyak na mabubura lahat ng memories na meron siya.

She will have to look for her other deity alone in another hidden realm where only she could enter.
"Ano na yung gagawin natin?" tanong ni Art.
"Until then." Surprisingly, Trev was the one who answered.
"We will wait for the portals to open."
Tahimik kaming naglakad pabalik. Walang ni isa sa'min ang gustong basagin ang katahimikan. Only the sound of rain filled my ears.
Napadako ang aking mga mata kay Trev na direktang nakatingin sa harap. Nakakuyom pa rin ang kanyang kamao.
Alam kong pinipigilan niyang saktan ang sarili niya.
I sighed.
Dito na magsisimula ang papel namin bilang Omegas.
