Either way, making a cover is never what you expect it to be. Some fond it harder than they expected, and some found it easier. It all depends on the person.

Tips for authors!
I strongly recommend that authors make their own covers. Why? Because it will be much more personalized and it will speak to your readers more.
When I did my book cover shop, many people already had images in mind for their covers. The only thing that was holding them back was lack of knowledge on how to make a cover. So now you can make your cover and won't have to worry about if it doesn't reflect on your story well!
Tips For Book Cover Shop Owners:
I owned a book cover shop and while it's fun, if you don't stay on top of it then you'll lose track of how many requests you have. Of course, in the beginning you won't have this problem. And while I am a little embarrassed to admit it, for about three chapters I made different accounts and requested covers from myself so I could have more reads and be more relevant. But I did end up getting 5k reads on that so...
