My name is Mac. In fifth grade, I didn't know that I was gay, or that I wanted to be a Girl. This, is my story.
I woke up on August 16th, the first day of Fifth grade. "MAXWELL!" My mother yelled "ARE YOU UP?!"
"YES MOM!" I yelled back, searching my closet for clothes. "Ah!" I mumbled, "found it." I put on my shirt, then pants. I run down stairs and grab my backpack and a breakfast bar. "BYE MOM" I yell as I run out of the door to the bus stop. I sat there for about 15 minute before I saw a hurt bird coming towards me. I went up to it and picked it up. The bus started to come towards me so I panicked and put the injured bird in my pocket till I got on the bus. I found a seat in the back and took the bird out of my pocket, people started to make fun of me for having a bird on the bus, and other people tried to tell. Thank goodness the bus driver didn't believe them. By the time we got to the school I had finished helping the bird, so when I got off the bus I let him free. He was able to fly again which was good. But I knew I would never see him again which made me sad.

Some boys brought legos but the girls brought dolls... so I went up to the girls and asked if I could play. They said "ewwww! A boy! Go away!" So I sadly walked away and sat at my desk. Until a boy came up to me with 2 dolls, I looked at him very confused, but then he gave me a doll. And i started to play with him. It was awesome.
