*Suga's POV*
I smile at him.
"Me too."
I walk out of the cafe seemingly calm and break into a sprint once the cafe is clearly out of my sight. Most of me had missed Daichi dearly but even so I never planned to ever see him again.
I had spent nights fantasizing what our life could have been if I had stayed, if I went back to Miyagi to find him.
But now that Daichi is here within my reach, it feels unnatural, unrealistic, weird... A five year distance can change everything. Our endless conversations from years ago is replaced by awkward, abrupt, adultish polite comments.
However, at the same time, nothing has changed. I still care. I still love him. Daichi still worries for me. Our feelings have not...changed...
Or has it?
I unlock the door to a place I now call home. A three room apartment at the edge of town. I lied to Daichi. I never had an appointment to begin with. I just didn't want to stay in that awkward atmosphere any longer with that high chance of me just breaking.
I sit on the sofa, picking up my pencil to draw.
A sketch of Daichi smiling greets me after minutes of absent-minded drawing.
The pencil falls from my hand.
