He gave up all power,
to become powerless.
He gave us his power,
so that Satan would be powerless.
He is our priest.
He is our sacrifice.
He offered himself.
The past was him.
The shadows from ages gone
were a glimpse of what was to come.
When the Son came
he was the reality of the past,
bringing with him the future.
Now we have a new covenant.
We live in the past ,
changing the future into a reality.
The old is not the new.
The past is not the future.
At least not to most people.
But because he has brought the new future
to us, right now, in this moment,
the past is the future.
And we are the old turned new!
