Yo's POV
We are now sitting in the auditorium, waiting for someone to come. Yes, we. I'm not talking about P'Ming though. He's still there by the front of the stage, busily taking pictures and chatting with the girls. I could only sigh, it looks tiring for me.
By we, I meant the fairy angel gang. Yes, they instantly signed up to be my friends. Do I sound unhappy? Of course not! It's just that, I think I don't seem to fit in with their group. They're so energetic, rambunctious, loud, wild, and full of life. Things that actually doesn't describe me.
Sure I'm friendly, kind, easy going and I'm quite energetic too sometimes, but I just actually act like it when Kit is around. Kit has been the only one who has been so close to me ever since. Now that we are not sharing the same classes anymore, I needed to make friends with others. I'm actually quite grateful the five of them immediately accepted me in their circle. They're really not that bad. It's just that they have this habit of bitching, cursing, and flirting with themselves and I think it won't be long for me to be involve with that soon.
Montree sat on my right with Redh(the girl) and Fatty(he's already obvious who he is, and he is a he by the way), while Zee and Jay(the twins) sat on my left. They are busily engaged in their own discussions while I just sat on my seat, trying to keep up. Just then our attention was called by a person who is standing in the middle of the stage with P'Ming beside him.
The person introduced himself as P'Ging, a bubbly, energetic and overly friendly senior and he is our faculty event coordinator. He asked us to keep silent because he has an important announcement to make.
"I know you guys are all curious as to why you are here instead of being in your classrooms, but I doubt that you like that idea anyway." he told us and most of us chuckled at his comment. "You are all here because today we are going to pick our faculty representatives for the upcoming Moon and Star competition."
I could hear the buzzing going around the auditorium while my newfound friends squealed and buzz on their seats. P'Ging had to use a megaphone to silence us again.
"If you guys want to know more about the competition, we have here our current campus moon, Engineer Mingkwan Daechapanya from the faculty of Engineering." P'Ging said as he gestured to P'Ming who waved and smiled at everyone.
More squealing and screaming erupted, my friends making the loudest of them(I think I already lost my hearing). I noticed how P'Ming basked himself in the attention and popularity he's getting. I scoffed at his expression and he caught it(how could he even find me from all of these people?), making him smirk. I rolled my eyes at him.
P'Ging had passed a mic to P'Ming and asked him to explain in details what the competition is all about. P'Ming cleared his throat and everyone fell silent.
"So basically, the competition is about every faculty representatives fighting for the title of being the campus moon and star. Why do they do it? Because if you win the competition, you get to win some fabulous awards. Aside from the awards, you could have the popularity and fame that could always get you into better circumstances. Just look at me right now." P'Ming boasted with an arrogant smile and many people screamed excitedly at him.
P'Ming finished explaining the benefits and advantages for joining the competition. Afterwards, P'Ging told us to choose who would be our representatives. Each major from our faculty is given the chance to pick a moon and a star representative. I leaned back on my chair, not wanting to participate at all. I know I'm already not interested in it(simply because I don't need it and I prefer to keep to myself), and I think I have better things to do than that.
But fate is not making things easy for me for my first day. Montree and the gang made a ruckus of making me the representative for our major. Of course I tried to immediately decline but as the clue word implies: I TRIED.
Ten minutes later, I found myself standing on the stage with the other representatives and P'Ming was standing on my side. He was chuckling at my expression and I resisted the urge to kick him on his shin. We might be so close that doing it would totally seem so normal but we are in front of the public and he is the freaking campus moon. Nobody touches him and gets away without being punished.(It sucks right?)
P'Ging decided to interview us one by one, firing out questions that gauges our capabilities. Everyone seemed to have answered nicely in my opinion so I didn't bother to answer well when it was my turn. After all, I'm supposed to be uninterested in it and failing P'Ging's round of questions would guarantee me my evident peace.
But I think the harder I try to fight off fate, the harder she hits me back. In the end, I was hailed as the final moon representative for my faculty while a kind and beautiful girl named Nate became my partner. We were then announced and everyone gave us a round of applause, P'Ming included. (He was actually clapping and nodding his head off, playfully brushing away a fake tear from his eyes like he's attending his son's fucking wedding!)
Nate and I were asked to stay behind while P'Ging dismissed the others. The gang volunteered to wait for me as we all shared the same class and they wanted me to go to our next class with them. P'Ging then briefed us of what we are to do and also gave us the schedules for our practices, photoshoots, and other activities. P'Ming bid us goodbye because he needs to go back to his classes already and we all bid him off. P'Ging dismissed us soon after, reminding us not to forget about attending our first practice which is today, in the afternoon.

After some hours in the classroom, we took our lunch break. The gang and I went to the cafeteria to buy our lunches. We lined up for the best meal and when we already got our orders, we sat by the table. I have introduced Nate to them and she became one of us too. We all enjoyed our meal before going back to class.
When we were finally dismissed for the day, Nate and I headed for the main building where all the main school offices, function halls and other facilities are located. When we arrived, there are some people inside the practice hall already. I was surprised when I saw Kit there. I quickly ran to his side to ask.
"Ai'Kit, are you the representative for your faculty too?" I asked him.
He was actually surprised when he saw me too. "Representative? No, I'm not. And what do you mean by 'too'? Are you the representative in yours?"
I nodded for an answer and he beamed at me. "Really? I'm so happy for you!"
He tackled me into a hug and made us both dance around. When we finally pulled away, I introduced him to Nate and I introduced Nate to him as well. When I was done, he turned around and called someone out. A tall guy with a jet black hair approached us with a smile. Kit introduced us to him.
"Ai'Yo, this is Ai'Suthee. He is our faculty's representative." Kit said and Suthee smiled at us.
"Hi Suthee, I'm Yo and this is my partner, Nate." I said as I introduced Nate beside me(who I noticed to be blushing a bit...hmm?).
Suthee was staring at Nate, dumbstruck. Nate blushed even further and Kit and I exchanged glances. It seems like there is going to be something between them. Kit and I just shrugged and we left the two on their own. We stepped out to the veranda and watched at the busy people below(we are currently in the seventh floor, so it's quite a bit high and the building is situated right in the middle of the whole campus.)
Kit was narrating to me how his day have been while I tried to listen attentively. I am vaguely aware of what is happening around me as I hung back on my thoughts. I still couldn't believe how I have gotten myself into this situation.I had tried my best not to win the choosing but I did! How could I even win that? The question that I got is so irrelevant that I was really so confident to fail it. I mean who gauges someone's capability by asking "What is love?"?
Kit must have noticed that my mind was wondering and that I wasn't listening to him so he stopped talking and frowned at me.
"Am I boring you?" he asked me.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ai'Kit. I just got lost in my thoughts." I replied and his reaction immediately changed into worry.
"Is there something wrong? Are you okay?" he asked, fussing over me.
I chuckled at him as I shook my head. "I'm fine, I'm just weirded out by the events today."
He patted at me and gave me a comforting hug. "I'm just here for you, okay?"
I hugged him back as I nodded. We stayed that way for a while, me drawing some of his happy energy. Somebody cleared a throat from the side and we pulled away. We both turned to see who it was and we both scowled. It's P'Ming and he is now donning his blue engineering jacket.
"Are you going to hug all day in there?" he asked us.
"What are you doing here P?" Kit asked.
"I'm the campus moon, I should be here." P'Ming replied. "But what are you doing here Kitkat?"
Kit frowned at the nickname while I snickered at him. Kit playfully glared at me and I stopped to a smile.
"I'm here to support my friends." Kit retorted as he crossed his arms and shot P'Ming an irritated glance.
P'Ming just laughed at him and ruffled Kit's hair. "Fine fine, you can do what you want."
Kit harrumphed at him and sulkily sauntered inside. We both looked at him as he soon exited the room to seat on the bench outside. P'Ming soon turned to me.
"Nong Yo, you should get inside now too. The practice would start in a few minutes." he said and I just nodded.
We both went inside and I approached Nate who was still talking to Suthee while sitting on the floor. I didn't interrupt them and just sat my ass down beside them. I looked towards the door, blankly staring at the people who are going in and out of the room. Just as I was about to get bored, I saw three familiar people entering. I almost marched towards them, out of annoyance and disbelief.
P'Beam walked in inside the room, catching almost everyone's attention. Girls and boys alike were buzzing, trying to catch his attention. P'Ming was surprised by the distraction but when he saw who had caused it, he just smiled wildly. P'Beam walked towards him and they began to talk.
I was just fine at seeing P'Beam coming to the practice hall. I know he doesn't know about me being a representative yet because he didn't even noticed my presence. I think he's probably just here to see P'Ming, but does he really have to come here together with them?!
P'Forth and P'Pha followed after P'Beam eliciting the same reaction like P'Beam. They both approached the other two and began chatting. I'm really wondering why P'Beam is still so close to that guy. Why are they here anyway?
My question was soon answered when the managing team came and finally started the practice. We were briefed for a while and they introduced the staff as well. I was surprised when P'Beam, P'Ming and P'Forth lined up behind them to introduce themselves. P'Ming gave the same introduction that he gave us this morning. Then my brother stepped up front.
"Hi guys, my name is Beam Panitchayasawad, the moon representative of the faculty of medicine and the first runner up campus moon from last year." he said and I felt my jaw dropped on the floor. He's a what?!
Cheers and applause erupted from everyone except from me. I was still staring at him in shock. He finally noticed my presence and mirrored my expression but he quickly recovered and gave me a gentle smile. He soon stepped back on his place beside P'Ming while P'Forth came up front.
"Hello everyone, I'm Forth Jaturapoom and I am a previous moon and campus moon from the faculty of Engineering." he said. "And from today until the end of the competition, I would be your senior mentor and it is my job to supervise each and everyone of you, observing you at all times."
Fuck! Can't this day get any better?
I thought that would be P'Ming's job? Why is he butting in? He's already an overthrown campus moon!
"I know you guys are wondering why I am doing that role instead of our current campus moon." P'Forth said, making me look up and I gasped because he was actually staring at me. "It's simple. It's my responsibility to take care of you guys and to see if you really deserve the honor of representing your faculty. I know Nong Ming could do the same, but let me tell you now. The difference is that I am going to be one of the judges that you would soon face at the competition, so I hope you guys would do well and do your best."
Everyone was surprised at what he said but they all managed to applause for him. He stoically went back beside P'Beam, making me scowl at the scene. He looked at me again and he actually smiled.
Shit! I'm so screwed. The next couple of weeks would be hell for me. Is this the life that I wanted?!

I'm sorry for the late update. I wasn't able to update last night because wattpad is having issues? or my net just sucks? But yeah, I'm really sorry that this update is a bit delayed. I hope you guys still liked it though even if it's quite a bit long as well.
