"I don't care." Chaeyoung stood up, "What's done was done. Just let fate decide wether or not we're meant to be friends." The words may not have been directed to her but Somi was hurt for Mina. Those exact words sounded so harsh and cold but Somi couldn't even blame Chaeyoung.
"What about your feelings." Somi looked up, wondering if the same feelings stayed within Chaeyoung. The cub clenched her fists, looking back at Somi with this saddened her honest eyes,
"They're gone."
::Chapter 29::
-Third Person's POV-
"Chaeyoung?" Sana looked at the shorter girl, who was clearly holding a plastic bag with what seemed to be bags of chips inside and other ingredients. She looked at Chaeyoung confused, "What are you doing here?"
"I brought you and Dahyun food." Chaeyoung blankly spoke, carelessly walking inside Sana's house. Ever since the fight, the cub became more of a sloth but it didn't really occur to Sana as a problem since Chaeyoung was kind of like this before.
"You didn't have to, we aren't kids." Sana chuckled, feeling a little embarassed that Chaeyoung was acting like the older one. The cub quietly and gently put the plastic bags on the counter, taking each product out, "It's ok with me."
Sana hummed, turning the tv on before glancing at Chaeyoung's back, "Don't you have classes today?"
"I skipped."
"Whaat?" Sana sighed, although she herself didn't do so well on some subjects, skipping a class was something that she was always afraid to do, "Out of all the people I know, You happen to be the one that skips? Since when?"
"It's only for today." Chaeyoung answered, who was now holding a knife and cutting vegetables.
"But why?"
"I don't know." Chaeyoung sighed, walking in front of Sana with a subtle smile, "I already asked someone to copy notes for me so I'm fine. You don't need to worry."
Sana knew this cub sensed her concern, choosing to not protest Sana let Chaeyoung cook whatever she wanted to cook. After a while, the atmosphere started to get awkwardly thick and Sana felt a little uncomfortable. It was so quiet and everything seemed so vulnerable, it felt weird to her, "Any reason why you're quiet?" She spoke.
Chaeyoung stopped her cooking and glanced at Sana, "Hm. I can't think of any."
"There has to be. Usually your all chit chat." Sana teased, trying to get rid of the aura.
"I never liked to talk much. Where'd you get that information from?" Chaeyoung asked, obviously not taking Sana's comments as a simple joke. The squirrel groaned silently and shrugged her head, letting Chaeyoung go back to work.
Sana grunted, not liking the silent atmosphere. She tried to crack a few jokes but Chaeyoung was Stone the whole time and it started to ruin her own mood. Out of frustration, Sana stood up and stomped towards Chaeyoung, standing in front of the cub with a tall stance. The cub looked at Sana up and down, "Do you need anything?"
"I'm bored."
"Watch tv."
"I've been doing that for the past hour. I can't take it anymore!" Sana pouted, pulling Chaeyoung's sleeves who looked like she wanted to finish cooking.
"Then watch a different show."
"You're no fun." Sana mumbles, angrily stomping away with heavy steps.
Chaeyoung stopped cooking and closed the oven, sighing as she seemed to have see the kid of Sana come out, "Ok fine. What do you want to do?"
"Wanna call Dahyun to come over? We can watch some shows together." Sana squealed, happy that Chaeyoung finally gave in.
"Dahyun has classes right now." Chaeyoung answered, tiredly sitting beside the squirrel.
"How about visit Momo and Nayeon? They said they had no classes today so.." Sana knew that Mina was in Nayeon's house right now, but she was desperate to fix that broken friendship between the two.
"Sure." Chaeyoung smiled, stretching out her two arms, "I'll bring the food I cooked to Nayeon's place."
Sana cheered, excited for her body to start moving, "Ok! Let's go!"
As Chaeyoung packed the food, she walked in front of Sana, her face hidden away from the squirrel, "I know Mina's in her house." Her voice seemed stern and angry but Sana couldn't tell if that attitude was genuine.

"What's this?" Nayeon glanced at Sana, as if sending her a worried expression. Chaeyoung was behind her, a blank face as a bag of food rested on her forearms. Sana smiled hoping it would lighten up the gloomy atmosphere, "Well, I wanted to visit you guys today. So I asked Chaeyoung to come here with me!"
Nayeon groaned and pulled the two in before she dragged Sana to a space away from Chaeyoung, "Did you forget that Mina's here? Are you an idiot?" The eldest growled, in which Sana pouted at.
"I want them to be-"
"Right now their friendship is almost impossible to fix and we can make everything worst if we force it on them." Nayeon answered, not letting Sana finish her sentence. She understood Sana, she too wanted Chaeyoung and Mina to have the same friendship but right now the two girls were in a moment, when they just can't talk to each other.
As Chaeyoung unpacked the food from the bag, a groan slowly made its way into the room, "Good morning, I'll be going home soon, Nayeon."
The cub's hand movement froze, her ears hearing that familiar voice had just struck a thin chord in her heart. Chaeyoung had missed it but at that moment, all she could feel was anger and frustration. Her heart was only letting the hatred thoughts circulate, nothing else.
"Good morning to you too." Chaeyoung broke the silence first which was a surprise to all three. Nayeon and Sana were both shocked to hear that the cub was the one who greeted Mina first and the penguin just stood in place. Her eyes staring at Chaeyoung.
Mina's gravely voice had proven that she seemed to have been crying recently. Chaeyoung didn't want to talk further so she turned back around, not interested in starting a conversation with some she doesn't want to see, "I'm almost done taking out the food, Nayeon." She ignored Mina in just a second, her attention diverting to some else.
Mina wanted to grab Chaeyoung, she wanted to talk to her about what happened but Nayeon was right. Even if the cub talked to her, Chaeyoung gave her a cold shoulder and it hurt her more than she thought. It was as if a piece of a puzzle slowly fading away, "What did you cook?" Mina failed to not stutter but she still spoke.
Chaeyoung shrugged, "Whatever came to mind." She answered, the same vague voice. So plain and monotone it was like a robot talking. Nayeon cleared her throat in an attempt to break the tense atmosphere.
"I'll set up the plates, Mina why don't you go wake up Momo." Nayeon smiled, tugging on Sana's sleeve even more as sign of a warning. The squirrel nervously nodded and proceeded to help Chaeyoung, who was quiet the whole time.
"Mina's here." Sana knew that she would regret saying that but she was desperate. In just a few days, Mina will need someone to lean on and Chaeyoung is and most likely the one person who can provide a shoulder to cry on.
"I know."
"Aren't you going to talk to her?" Sana's voice was quiet as she helped set up plates on the table.
Chaeyoung looked at Sana, almost as if she was glaring at her, "Right now? Not really." As the younger girl places a few utensils on the table, Chaeyoung sighed and looked back at Sana, "I don't know what you're planning to do, but right now. I don't want to be so close to her, I hope you understand that Sana."
"But what if she needs you?" Sana's voice pleaded and it made Chaeyoung jump by the tone.
"I don't think she will." The latter stated, leaning against the wall as she waits for the others.
"Trust me," Sana walked in front of Chaeyoung, "She will. Mina will need you and you-"
"Just stop with this already." Chaeyoung cut her off, the voice she used was stern and it really put Sana to a halt. The elder one decided to stay quiet, choosing to leave Chaeyoung Be and just let fate decide what will happen next.
"Alright Momo's here," Nayeon smiled, pointing to a groggy figure. Momo looked up tiredly and as soon as she spotted Chaeyoung, the Japanese girl ran towards her, jumping into her arms, "Chaeyoung! I missed you! How are you? Is everything ok? You just ran off and-"
As Momo threw questions at Chaeyoung, Mina quietly stood behind Nayeon. Her head casted down as she intently listened to Chaeyoung's tired like voice answer Momo. Each word sounded as if she was exhausted, well Mina herself was too.
She wanted to talk to Chaeyoung but seeing the cub now made everything worst. Mina felt as if she didn't have the right to see her face as well even talk to her. She knew that Chaeyoung was angry it's just that the cub was hiding it all, forcing it to stay behind her thoughts. But Mina could see through that wall and she felt guilty for causing it.
"Nayeon."
Nayeon turned to Mina, "Hm?"
"Do you think," Mina looked up at the older girl, "Chaeyoung and I will be close, again?"
Nayeon's expression turned into sympathy and Mina knew that this bunny like girl wouldn't be able to assure anything. "Maybe. I hope so." Nayeon answered which Mina wasn't as satisfied with but she took it anyways.
As Mina stated at Chaeyoung, a sense of longing started to burn in her stomach. She wished she could to Chaeyoung against, laugh with her, see the dimples show and especially just a normal conversation. But after this, Mina didn't know if things would go back to normal.
If only I returned my feelings to her. If only.
"Mina." The cubs voice echoed and Mina instantly looked to it, "Come on, let's eat." It was vague and bland but Mina was happy to at least have Chaeyoung talk to her.
But I don't know how.
I like Jeongyeon.
And I don't feel anything for Chaeyoung.
Right?
