CHAPTER 3
“Do not be scared young one I am Fallis from the tribe of our ancestors” he said
“What?” I exclaimed being frightened and in which way of getting confused
“I feel I have found the place I am looking for where is your parents?” he asked
“Who are you?” asking him while he laugh
“I am Fallis and I wish to speak to Eva and John” he said in a smile
“How’d you know my parents?” I asked in surprised
“Eva is my sister and I wish to speak to her”
“My parents is dead from rogue attacks and this is not their pack” I answered as he looked at me pitifully
“Are you lost?” he asked
“No I’m just wandering around – I didn’t know we have relatives from other packs my mom never told me anything” telling him
“Because our race is a secret and there is a war beyond wolves and rogues and the wolves will need our help to win the war” he said as we sensed that Matt was coming maybe pissed off to what I did
“Never tell anyone you meet me if you want to speak to me again come to this place and call my name” he said as I looked at the near wolves that coming in fast and looking back at him he disappeared and for a second Matt came with the other wolves
Matt was very pissed and he came with only shorts on “Keira, what are you doing here?” he shouted
“I just wandered off” answering by the second he was close to my face
“It is not safe to wander alone Keira” his voice angrier than ever
“I didn’t even wandered that far I was still inside the boundary” objecting
“Why do you have to do this to me?” he asked
“I’m sorry – I should’ve had asked you about it. I’m sorry” to my defeat as he calmed down a bit
“You better be, from this day on someone will watch you while I’m gone” he said
“No please it won’t happen again” I pleaded
“I’m sorry but it has to be this way” he said as he changed back to his wolf form and I was left alone to a wolf that was looking at me
“Alright I’m sorry for keeping you in here” I told the wolf that stayed with me as we walked back to the house
I looked on to the book my parents gave me and then once again tried to decode them. Trying to remember everything they said, every gestures that my mom did to me when I was a kid.
“Keira” Matt on my back as I faced him
“I never meant to cage you but you scared me to death and I was scared that I’d lose you” he said
“It’s my fault that was on me” as I hugged him
“Just don’t do that again I’ve never felt so scared”

We were soundly sleeping when Dether the beta came barging on the door “Alpha, rogue’s are at the boundary” then running down again
“Keira stay here” he ordered as he jumped on the glass window landing on his wolf form
Then I run down. “Where are you going?” Aira asked
“I’m going in there” walking straight as Aira pulled me “No you can’t, I just heard Matt said stay here and this time you really don’t wanna test his temper” stopping me not wanting to really test Matt
“We just have to stay put and wait for them to come back” Judy getting anxious
I sat and remembering what Fallis said maybe he was right and it’s right now that it is happening I have to speak to him again I just have to figure out how to get rid of Charlie that was watching me
After hours of waiting for everyone to come back they returned.
“What happened?” I asked Matt
“I’ll talk to you later we need a pack meeting right away” he said as he went inside his office.
I waited Matt up to the room until he came back finally.
“What’s happening?” I asked
“Seems a war between rogues had broken and they’re organized ready to strike whenever they want – we were just lucky that we had a stronghold” as we both sat in bed
“Keira, stop blocking me let me connect to you” he said
“But I don’t know how” replying
“What do you mean you don’t know how” repeating me
“I don’t even know if that would work to me in my human form my parents can’t sort that out no matter how we try”
“You really are something Keira” tugging me to bed
“So what do we do now?” asking him for his plans
“There’s a run down in security, doubled the patrols and develop everyone skills” his voice fading as he fell asleep
I was off to school and I took the book with me as soon as Matt called me I have everything packed “Keira”
“Keira, I won’t be going to school today I need to fix things and I want you to have this” giving me an iPhone
“What’s this for?” handing me the phone
“Take that with you wherever you go specially that our mind link doesn’t work – and listen to me Charlie will guard you and he will take care of you. You listen to him. Understand?” he cleared
“But I can take care of myself”
“I know you can but I just want to make sure nothing happens to you” as I hug him not wanting to make an argument then he kissed me
Lunch in school and I can feel Charlie around us. “Getting bummed up huh?” Aira asked nodding in answer
“Charlie is a high profiled wolf so you really are protected” Aira forwarding on the queue
“Hey, any idea on how I can get away from him a bit?” asking Aira in confusion
“Please do not do anything stupid specially that there’s a thing called war happening around” Aira said
“We’ll I just need to get away for a sec – just for half an hour and I’ll be back”
“What’s going on?” she asked her eyebrows rising
“It’s about the book” as she hesitated for a minute “Please I need your help”
“Okay this is the only time I’d help you on this the only time – Matt will kill me” she said as I smiled
After school I followed Aira’s instruction leave my jacket to the library and then run as fast as I could the time that Charlie is on his football training.
I was in the woods and making sure that I was on the right spot when I called Fallis name and waited for him but I guess he didn’t hear me or I was just making a fool of myself
I was searching around but nothing was really coming up and as soon as I decided to go back. I heard Fallis voice behind me “You called me young one?”
“I do have a lot of questions to ask you and I really don’t have that much of time to stay because I’m guarded” I told him
“I know” he said in a smile
“Why have we the same eye colors?” I asked
“Because were from the same race” he answered
“If that was so why did my mom’s eye not like us?”
“Eva didn’t get the blessing but you did” he answered me as I took the book out of my bag
“Here my parents left this to me” handing the book to him
“That book was from our father and that is the answer to everything you have to know”
“But I can’t understand any of it – will you help me?” I asked him
“Do not hasten my dear – does your mind link work?” he asked
“No it doesn’t on my human form – I don’t know how to make it work”
“Let it stay that way so your mate won’t read any of us – I must tell you that in this world we are the only two living this way and I will teach you everything I know” he said
“Just continue on what you’re doing, do not tell about any of us and in time they would appreciate it”
“Then tell me what can I do?”
“No, you tell me” he said as I took a deep breath “Okay, then what blessing are you pertaining too?”
“My dear one, I myself is looking for an answer but I discovered one thing I am powerful when my eyes meets your eyes they work in pair – we tried it before when you were a kid but something happened to the tribe that made us Eva and you separated but now that I found you I guess you can give me an answer”
“Look I don’t nor didn’t discover anything – I mean nothing, what I knew was I got bullied because of my eyes, rejected because of my eyes and disliked because of it” as the phone Matt gave me rang
“Search deeply in you and you will seek the answer you were looking for” he smiled as I answer the phone
“Hello?”
“Where are you?” Charlie’s voice irritated
“Just meet me at the car and I’m on my way” hanging up and looking to Fallis who disappeared
“I’ll see you tomorrow Fallis” I shouted as I ran back to the school
“Are you trying to get me killed?” Charlie asked as he saw me
“Easy, I was in the library” I said
“You weren’t and here’s your jacket” handing me my jacket and getting in to the car
“Hey Charlie – I guess we shouldn’t tell that to Matt?” trying to convince him not too but he didn’t answer until we arrived home and Matt were on the foyer leaning his body.
I walked to him as he was smiling “I’ve missed you” kissing me on the forehead
“How was school?” Matt asked Charlie
“Good Alpha everything went well” Charlie answered as he left
Thank God Charlie didn’t mention a thing to Matt or else were both dead.
After dinner Matt went to his office and I went up to the room to make my homework but I couldn’t concentrate as Fallis keeps on coming to my head so I held on the book again and started to browse carefully this time and I covered my blue eye and the book looked different from both eyes my white eye revealed the letters and the blue eye revealed the symbol.
“What did just happen?” talking to myself as it got out and as I tried to do it again no luck this time
I relaxed my head on the table and Matt came
“You don’t look so good” as he gave me a kiss
“Are you going to school tomorrow?”
“I still can’t Keira I need to meet the new Alpha from the East” as he removed his shirt revealing his abs and hotness that made me stun
“Keira?” he called me back as he put on his shirt
“Oh yeah it’s okay besides I have Aira”
“And Charlie” reminding me of him
“And Charlie” repeating him
Matt sat on the bed beside me and I got to him seating on his lap
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Throw it”
“How many girlfriends did you have?” as he rub his head
“It’s okay if you don’t want to answer”
“Keira I had a lot and I’m sorry I wish you were the first” aching Clara
“Oh it’s okay” as I went to bed “Just to throw back your question – how many did you have?” he asked
“I had none”
“What?” he asked
“Who would wanna date a monster?” asking him as I tucked myself on the blanket
“Babe, you’re not a monster you’re my mate and stop calling that yourself” he said as he cuddled me

“Goodmorning” greeting Matt to see him perfectly asleep but he didn’t woke up so I gave him a kiss and went on to school
Aira and I were on the car with Charlie driving and we were awkwardly silent
“Hey Aira, can you help me after school?” looking at her with her eyes wide open shooting me “Please?”
“Sure Keira” she answered and by the time we arrived “Charlie, you can have your training today Aira and I will be just working on to my homework”
“Keira, what is going on?” Aira asked me as she pulled me to the hallway
“I can’t tell you yet what I’m discovering but you gotta help me please?” I pleaded her
“If Matt will find this out – he will suspect you’re having an affair” Aira very nervous
“Please this is huge – please” pleading to her
“If Matt will find out about this he will kill Charlie then me and you after he kills I will kill you on the second life” she said as I gave her a hug “Yes! You really are the best”
After school I met with Aira “Charlie is on his practice now and you have 40minutes or less to go there if he sees me without you he will suspect”
“Thank You I will be back soon” I told her as I ran to the forest
“Fallis” I called him
“My young one has come back” showing his self
“Yesterday I discovered that both eyes see different things but by the time I wanted to repeat it I can’t get it going”
“You think too much and you think a lot – remember that the time is yours”
“Please help me – I really want to know what’s in it” pleading to him then he came near me and held on to my head like he saw wanted to see what’s on my head
“My young one our eyes are one but are bodies are not we only work together when we know what others want” he said as we started to walk
“I can hear your thought but you can’t hear mine” as wolves appeared in front of us making me stop
“This is my son and his mate Makawe and Sarah” as I looked at Fallis
“Now look beyond you and what do you see?” he asked as I looked at the eyes of the couple making me see beyond them seeing their human forms inside.
“How did I just do that?” asking Fallis
“Because you wanted to see what there is to see”
“Makawe is my cousin – I can’t believe I have a cousin in front of me” as the wolves changed back to their human forms
“The pack should’ve had scented you but how are you doing that?” I asked
“Because of you it’s our eyes power” Fallis said that gave me a terrible head spin
“Where are you staying, I mean why can only I see you here?” I asked
“Remember that our kind is a secret isolated from the others and the book will tell you all you wanted to know about us”
“You can stay with me” offering them
“Not today my young one unless that you see what’s written on the book I will take your offer” Fallis said as my phone rang and it was Matt
“I will be at my best effort to know what is written in there then I will come back for you” I told everyone as I ran back
“Hello?”
“Where are you?”
“I’m at school”
“Good, because I’m picking you up” he said
“I’m almost at the gate” he said as I hanged up and ran back to Aira “I am freaking out” while she handed me my things
“Matt is here” I told her as I wore on my jacket
“Good because Charlie kept on calling me because you may be barred his call?” she said as we ran in front to see Matt already parked and talking to Charlie
“We are so dead!” Aira murmured as we walked to them
“Hey ladies” Matt said as she looked at us “Why are your faces like that?”
“Because – “ Aira paused then looked at me “Because we’re hungry very much” as I continued her sentence
“Good because I’m treating everyone” as Aira and I just looked at each other
“Charlie just meet us at the 5th” Matt ordered as the both of us got in to his car
“Matt, what if you knew I was cheating on you?” I asked
“Babe, I would know that even before you start to do so” he said as I shrug
“Wait are you cheating on me?” he asked
“I thought you just said you’d know that before I even start”
“Babe, do not cheat on me and that’s your last and final warning”
“What if you do the cheating?” I asked
“What will you do?” throwing the question back at me as always
“I will kill you and then on the other side I will kill you again” as he laughed on me

Matt fell asleep fast and I was looking at him until I looked on the ceiling and blood was dripping on me and by the time that I looked at my hands that wiped it I saw my parents on the floor soaked on their blood and as I looked up a big wolf were growling at me.
I ran out but the wolf got me and then by the time he was to attack me I woke up. Rising myself up.
“Keira?” Matt held my hand “What’s going on?”
“Just a bad dream” I answered still feeling the fear
“Keira, I can feel your fear” Matt said as he removed his hand from mine
“What?” I asked him
“I felt your fear Keira” he repeated and he was happy about it
“But before anything else – what were you dreaming about?”
“I dreamt I was about to get eaten by a wolf and I felt really scared I even saw him killed my parents in front of me”
“I will never let that happen”
