(3rd Person)
(Y/N) was still on his knees, his fist clenching tightly while shaking in rage, sorrow and disbelief. He just watched his best friend of more than ten years die right before his eyes. He couldn't help but let a single tear flow out of his eye at the realisation that Asia was no longer a part of this world.
Raynare: At last, I not only have your powers, I have Asia's sacred gear as well! Now, no one can...
Raynare was instantly cut off by a fast moving light spear piercing her stomach, she gasped in surprise but before she could recover there were several others all piercing through any spot of her body they could find. The only thing left that wasn't pierced was her head.
She looked up in surprise, only to see the definition of rage itself in (Y/N)'s features, he was back on his feet, a hundred or so more light spears floating behind him while unbeknownst to him his body was discharging several bolts of black and red electricity, Raynare grew wide-eyed with fear and shock.
Raynare: 'Impossible!! His power was supposed to come from the earring!! And yet, somehow he's able to summon so many light weapons effortlessly!? Is he really human!?'
(Y/N): Raynare... you took my earring, you took Asia's sacred gear. But what was even worse is you killed her right as I was watching... that's the worst mistake you could ever have done, because now I'm mad... I'm madder than ever, which means you've gone and done it now. In other words Raynare...
(Y/N) gestured his hand upward so that the light spears were all pointing towards Raynare who struggled to fly due to her wings being pierced. (Y/N)'s expression turned from fury to one that spoke of a promised murder, even though Raynare had twilight healing she couldn't help but start to feel a tiny bit regretful at killing Asia.
(Y/N): In other words: your time is up!! It's time to meet your end you filthy fallen angel!!!
Raynare closed her eyes at seeing (Y/N)'s hand about to point downward and aim for her head: the killing blow. But, a sound had caused (Y/N) to stop: a gasp, normally this wouldn't bother (Y/N) but he thought the gasp was familiar, he shakily turned his head to where the gasp originated from only to grow wide-eyed at seeing Asia's barely moving chest.
(Y/N): Asia... she's... alive? Asia!!!
All the light spears disappeared causing Raynare to grunt in pain at feeling all the holes in her body and wings. She watched as (Y/N) ran over to his barely breathing best friend, without hesitation he snapped the chains off her causing Asia's limp body to fall into (Y/N)'s arms. He cradled her while looking down.
(Y/N): Thank god... you're alive...
Raynare: She, won't be for long...
(Y/N) saw Raynare slowly pushing herself to her feet, her whole body starting to glow the same green glow as Asia's sacred gear, the holes in her body closed before any more blood could leak out, he growled at seeing her back on her feet and again that cocky grin on her face.
Raynare: Extracting a sacred gear is like taking someone's life, she may be alive now, but sooner or later she's going to die (Y/N). I don't know what that was just now but it looks like your little fit was stopped by Asia, I told you before she was your weakness, and now... she's the reason you die right here and now!!
The fallen angel conjured up several pink light spears of her own before throwing them towards (Y/N) who picked Asia up and leapt away from the incoming projectiles, unfortunately he was instantly running out of space to avoid the deadly weapons, that was, until a familiar voice stopped Raynare in her tracks.
Issei: Raynare!! Leave them alone!
And just like that a broken cross came flying at Raynare which smacked her in the back of the head, she growled in annoyance before turning to see the perverted devil himself. Issei however, wasn't focused on Raynare, his eyes were on the two humans in the room, he gave (Y/N) a thumbs-up with a cheeky smile.
Issei: Go on now! Save your princess and get a banging reward from her!!
(Y/N): I'll kill you for making such a lewd remark despite the situation after this you idiot!!
Issei: I can never get a compliment from you, can't I?
(Y/N): You don't even deserve a compliment from my shoe you perverted dumbass!!
Raynare: Well, looks like I don't need to be here for at least one of you to die.
(Y/N) + Issei: Shut up hooker!!
Her expression instantly turned to anger, a tick mark appearing just above her eye as her light spears grew in size, Issei gulped realising his mistake whereas (Y/N) grinned sadistically at seeing the situation and predicting Issei's fate.
(Y/N): I always love seeing a devil about to meet their end, but right now I gotta get Asia somewhere to heal her.
Without another thought, (Y/N) sprinted off with Asia in his arms out of the basement and straight to the hallway where the exit would be. Only to see it was blocked off by Kiba and Koneko still fighting enemies which were all stray exorcists, he scoffed in annoyance before turning around and heading deeper into the church.
(1st Person Asia)
???: Hey...
What, that voice, so familiar but where am I? I strained to open my eyes, oh my lord this pain! It feels like my heart's been ripped from me, am I... dying? Once I opened my eyes I saw the most comfortable and safest sight: (Y/N) staring down at me with his rare but blinding warm smile, though I could easily see past that fake smile, he's sad.
Asia: (Y/N)? What... happened?
I couldn't even speak properly, I'm so weak, oh... now I remember: Raynare took my gift away from me, the pain was unbearable, I looked around to see we were still inside the church, wait... does that mean? Yes, there's no doubt about it: he kept his promise... he really is my best friend... I just hope...
(Y/N): We're inside a church, just like old times. Just like how we first met sleepyhead.
Asia: Sleepyhead?
(Y/N): Well, you did sleep for a while, I almost chucked a bottle of cold water onto you.
Asia: You... wouldn't dare...
(Y/N): I dare and I will, so next time you fall asleep you better expect a water bucket or two on your face.
We both chuckled at that, well, I tried to but it just came out as a weak one. I knew my time was drawing near, maybe now's the time to tell him the truth?
(Y/N): Hey Asia, when this is all over, after I take care of Raynare and get your gift back, do you wanna go explore the town again? We can even bring Issei if you want, I just want to catch up on old time again.
Oh no... he's in denial, he knows I'm not going to last long but he doesn't want to believe it. I can't leave while he's like this, if I leave, I want my last sight to be...
Asia: (Y/N)... I'm sorry...
(Y/N): What are you sorry for? We're... we're both going to hang out... r-right?
He started shaking, I could feel it as he held me, I was watching him start to lose his composure, his warm smile quivering while I could see the faintest of tears in his eyes. I smiled warmly before brushing my hand against his cheek.
Asia: Don't be sad (Y/N)... I won't be gone forever, as cliché as it is, I'll be watching over you. With God by my side we will be making sure nothing but happiness is in your future, so please, for me, give me your smile, not your fake ones. But the real one that you always gave me whenever I was sad...
He gritted his teeth trying to hold back his sorrow, I couldn't help but look at him in sympathy, he had lost his parents, his second family and now... probably his last friend. No... I can't let that happen.
Asia: Hey... smile for me, and promise me you won't shut yourself out like you did last time. I'll smack you across the head if you stop making friends when I go, so... give me your real smile and promise me you'll make more friends... even if... even if they're devils.
His shaking instantly stopped at that, he looked down at me, confusion, sorrow, anger and disbelief clear in his eyes. I've known him for more than ten years, I know exactly how he'll act when I'm gone, and I can't let it happen again.
(Y/N): Asia...
The way he said my name, he's close to accepting my fate, and I'm glad that he won't go mad thinking I'm still alive. Any way, he did it... he gave me his real smile, it was a small one which anyone could mistake it for a smirk, but I know better than anyone else: this was (Y/N) (L/N)'s real smile.
(Y/N): I can promise, that I'll at least try, but, I can't ever forgive the devils for what they've done to not just me, but you as well...
I couldn't help but chuckle weakly again...
Asia: Fair enough... (Y/N)?
He hummed while looking down at me still, his real smile still plastered on his face while he seemed to be on one knee now, he gently laid me down on the floor while resting his right arm on his knee while his left hand planted itself on the ground just right beside me.
Asia: Thank you, for all the memories you gave me: when we first met, you tried to push me away so you couldn't make any friends to lose. But I persisted... I became your first friend and we promised to look after each other, when we lost everything... we were always watching each other's backs... thank you (Y/N) (L/N)... I... I...
No... I don't have enough strength left to say it: one confession I've been building our whole time together to say: he's always been there for me thick and thin. He's hurt himself just to see me smile, he's even gone out of his way to make sure I'm safe, even if I don't agree with the outcome, I can understand and be grateful towards him for looking out for me... (Y/N) (L/N)...

(1st Person (Y/N))
She closed her eyes before she could finish whatever she was about to say, I didn't weep, I didn't growl in anger, hell I didn't even move from my spot. I was frozen, I can't believe it... I promised to protect her even if it costed my life, but here I am looking right at her now dead body. I Let out a sigh I didn't realise I had been suppressing for so long. I reached over with my left hand and rested my hand on her forehead.
(Y/N): Asia...
It was the only thing I could say at this moment, her forehead instantly lost all the warmth, her hands weren't even in a position to make it look like she was sleeping. So I made it so by crossing her hands together on her chest. I drooped my head with no doubt a blank expression appearing on my face.
Raynare: Oh... that was boring, after all those heart wrenching words I was expecting at least one tear, come on!!
That damn bitch... who does she think she is? Of course I have tears, I just choose not to let you see them... no... I guess I just haven't cried in so long I've forgotten how to do it... emo I know but it's true, I've literally lost the ability to cry.
Raynare: Huh, no response either, wow, I must've really broken you with her death, right? Is it because this your first time seeing a precious friend die?
Second time... I watched all of my friends from the orphanage die before. Only this time it wasn't devils who killed my friends, it was a fallen angel bitch... I... I'm going to kill her... no, I'm going to murder her, make her regret ever touching Asia... I'll rip those wings off...
Issei: I already told you to leave...
I don't care about you right now you jackass... I didn't even bother turning to him, all I could feel was rage... anger... sorrow... murder... kill... that bitch... I'm...
(3rd Person)
Just as Issei and Raynare were about to fight for a second time the doors swung open with force, the two them turned to see a few familiar faces and two which were familiar to just Issei.
Raynare: What's this? Are you really going with devils?
Kalawarner: I've had enough... you crossed the line when you tried to make me kill (Y/N), yes, he was originally someone I wasn't supposed to get attached to. But I couldn't help it.
???: Surrender fallen angel, you're outnumbered, you're at a disadvantage.
Raynare: Red hair... a Gremory, just my luck, but you're wrong little girl, it's you who's at a disadvantage... after all...
Raynare lightly slapped the earring on her with her thumb while a green glow healed the bruise Issei caused from punching her in the face.
Raynare: I have all of the...
She was instantly cut off by the sound of a tremendous slam. Everyone went wide-eyed with surprise before looking to the source behind Raynare: (Y/N)'s left fist slammed into the concrete floor under him, cracks spreading all over the platform from the force of the blow. His teeth gritted while letting out strained breaths of pain, sorrow and absolute fury.
(Y/N) saw the flashbacks travelling past his eyes: someone in a suit informing him his parents were murdered, a little girl with black hair and grey eyes revealing his parents are dead because devils wished for their demise. Then he saw the amount of times of not just devils but fallen angels, and even the occasional angel tried to murder him, the next one was the orphanage in flames while a tall devil burned his friends alive. Finally his flashbacks ceased as he saw Asia's dead body right in front of him.
He started panting from the amount of anger flowing through him, again unbeknownst to him black and red electricity discharged from his body.
(Y/N): I've had enough, you devils, fallen angels, I don't care who you are... this is the last time I let someone I care about die just because I was too weak!!!
He finally looked up to reveal tears flowing freely down his eyes while the black and red lightning discharged greatly from his body. (Y/N) let out a what could only be described as a deep roar filled with all sorts of emotion: anger and sorrow were the two biggest ones as the black and red lightning struck out from his body lashing out at anything in sight: alive or dead. The only thing the lightning didn't strike was Asia's body.
Issei: (Y-Y/N)!?
He stood on his feet while looking downward, his fists clenched before turning around, only to let out an even louder and deeper roar causing everyone except for Raynare to instinctively back up in fear and awe, the double coloured electricity covering his body and the entire room. After a few seconds the electricity condensed itself so now it only concentrated on his back, that only caused (Y/N) to now let out a pain-filled scream as the lightning dug into his right shoulder blade and blinding everyone in the room.
Once the light died down everyone gasped in shock at what they were seeing: the electricity had formed into a rather familiar shape on (Y/N)'s back, his expression was obviously fury with teeth gritted so tightly he could probably break them. He then looked forward before taking a step forward, as he slammed his right foot down the black and red electricity flowed out of his foot momentarily before being absorbed back into his body, this caused a massive foot crater to appear in the ground also.
(Y/N): Raynare!!!!
Said fallen angel could only look in shock at the shape the black and red electricity had formed into on (Y/N)'s back. He took another step forward with the same result as before, the Gremory too was looking on in shock and awe, and a tiny bit of hope gleaming in her eyes too.
(Y/N): Today...
Another step and more electricity forming along with yet another crater in the church floor.
(Y/N): You learn...
His steps turned into stomps as they shook the entire building with the amount of power he was radiating while the electricity kept the familiar shape on his back.
(Y/N): A life, for a life Raynare...
He suddenly stopped in place before looking up, his expression still full of undying fury while glaring the fallen angel down you swear she was looking at the ultimate form of fear.
(Y/N): I'M GOING TO RIP YOU TO SHREDS!!!!
On (Y/N)'s back, the black and red electricity formed into a single devil wing produced from his right shoulder blade...
