Ugly truth
Angie POV
He is coming over. I clean up my room and hear my phone ring. It is surprisingly Matt.
“Uhmm... hey Matt?” I say.
“Hey Angie. Look I don't know how to say this. Jace did something. Look I know how much he loves you so I don't know why he would do this. But he is cheating on you.” he says.
“With who?” I ask almost crying.
“Vanessa. I have to go. Bye!” he says.
What he is cheating on me? No way. He wouldn't do that to me. After we made-out, after he took my first kiss he cheats on me. He wouldn't do that or would he? Before I can keep thinking I hear the door bell ring and run down the stairs. He stands in front of the door. He couldn't do this to me. He is too nice.
“Hi!” He says and comes inside.
“Hey.” I reply trying not to show my disappointment. We go to my room and I stare at him.
“What is it?” he says.
“Would you ever cheat on me?” I blurt out.
“No why would ever think something like that?” he says shocked.
“Look this is ridiculous. But Matt saw you going inside Nessis house and I believe if you say you didn't do it but I want to know why you went there?” I say, insecure. He runs his fingers through his hair as if he is about to confess something. No, he wouldn't. He is too nice.
“Look, Angie.” Oh, no.
“I don't know how to say this...” I see where this is going.
“This will be really hard for you to understand. But Nessi is my sister, my twin sister.” he says.
“is this some joke or something?” I say.
“No. After my father left us my brother, my two sisters and I stayed with my mom and Nessi, my twin went with my dad and his girlfriend. I went there to ask for money. After he left us her took all our money and my mom has to work three jobs and I have all the responsibility for my siblings when she is not home, which is a lot of the time. Then she told me that we don't have enough money for my college fees so I went to Nessi to ask for money and then I went. That was it. End of story.” he explains.
“I am so sorry. For doubting you. For everything.” I say as he pulls me into a hug. We lie down next to each other on my bed. He plays with my hair as I caress his stomach. Some kisses occur. But we just lie there. Me thinking about everything he told me. Him kissing my forehead.
“I love you.” he says.
“I love you, too” I reply.
