7:30 A.M. Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota.
The gates open, and he drives toward the checkpoint. The MP inside the guard post, Kennedy, looks at him.
"North, what's new, man?"
"Same old, same old. Kid's are doing fine." He waved his military ID.
"Yeah, you're all good, North. See you at the caf."
The gate opens, he drives in, and makes his way toward the missile bay. He saw his subordinate, who would be manning the missile bay with him on the way.
"Robert, how you holding up?"
"All's good, Lewis."
They both walk into the missile bay, their missile commander sat a desk.
"Write yourselves up in the logbook, you got two hours in the bay."
"Yes, sir." They spoke, synchronized.
They both knelt over and grabbed pens, writing their names down.
"All good, see you in a few."
"Yes, sir." They replied.
