Last Chapter-[28]
"I won't protect her anymore." Chaeyoung threw her jacket on the floor, passing Sana as she made her way up the stairs, "Mina's a stranger."
At this moment, Sana knew so well. She sensed the different aura and it even saddened at how much this pain caused Chaeyoung. Sana knew that, now,
Chaeyoung hated Mina.
::Chapter 28::
-Third Person's POV-
"Chaeyoung! Chaeyoung Wait." Sana ran after the cub, grabbing onto her wrist, "Give her another chance, please." The elder girl was practically pleading now and it hurt Chaeyoung but the anger in her heart was to much already.
"I'm sorry Sana." Chaeyoung answered, her tone going soft as she didn't want to scare Sana. Although the cub didn't say no, her answer wasn't enough to satisfy Sana. It was to blunt, there wasn't enough context.
Sana tugged on Chaeyoung's sleeve, "Please. Mina needs you-"
Chaeyoung growled, pushing Sana away, "That's a lie and we all know it. Like hell she needs me, Mina just chose to use me. She doesn't need me," The shorter girl opened the door and stepped out into the winter air,
"And I don't need her."

Momo threw a fit and now she was sleeping on Nayeon's lap with dried tears painted on her cheeks, "Chaeyoung is a big part of her life. Momo doesn't want to lose her and so do you, right?" Nayeon looked up, with guilt present in her eyes, "Mina?"
She stayed quiet, her head casted down, covering any expression, "Let's go outside." Nayeon suggested, gently laying Momo's head on a pillow which was substitute for her thighs, considering that Momo seemed to have felt comfortable.
Mina didn't speak a word, instead she followed Nayeon outside with silent footsteps. As they finally closed the door, Nayeon looked Mina straight in the eye with a sorrow expression amongst her face, "Look at me, Mina." The other held her own and disobeyed Nayeon.
Nayeon clenched her fists, "Why. You like Jeongyeon right? So why did you have to drag Chaeyoung into this?"
The silence fell once more and it irritated Nayeon even more. Her patience was starting to break and if Mina doesn't response any sooner, Nayeon would collapse and lash out, "Answer me." She demanded, her voice starting to get firm.
After a while, Nayeon's patience wore thin, "Mina please. Just tell me the damn truth. Why did you kiss her? Was it because you actually liked her back, or did you-"
Mina pushed Nayeon away, finally showing her face and it broke the eldest's heart to see someone as strong as Mina filled with tears. It was like seeing Chaeyoung cry all over again, they were both so good at holding their emotions it gets difficult, "I didn't want to do it. Do you think I'm ok with it? Hurting Chaeyoung? That's one of my biggest fears, Nayeon." She choked.
Nayeon looked at her, "Then why."
"I thought-"
"You thought it'll make her feel better about herself? You thought it'll make her happy that you're forcing yourself?" Nayeon gritted her teeth, trying to hold in this caged anger.
"No," Mina looked down, her knees collapsing on herself and falling onto the cold, wet ground, "I wanted to see. I wanted to see if I can fall in love. I wanted to give her feelings back. I wanted to care for her like how she cared-"
"Mina." Nayeon kneeled in front of Mina, her eyes filled with sympathy, "Getting close to Chaeyoung now, is dangerous. It'll hurt you more than you think." She spoke with sincerity, placing her hand on Mina's shoulder.
Out of frustration, Mina angrily shook Nayeon's hand off, standing abruptly and clenching her fists, "I don't care if it hurts me. I'm still talking to her. No matter how much it takes."
"Do you really think she wants to see you."
Mina's ability to speak was stolen as she had just thought of that now. The possibility of Chaeyoung hating her and not wanting to see her was real. It can happen and in Mina's thoughts, it probably already did. And it hurt her.
It hurt her so much.
The thought of Chaeyoung turning her back away.
Hurt Mina
Nayeon didn't say a word as she grabbed Mina's and and pulled her inside the house, "Chaeyoung is generous, but not generous enough to forgive you. She's angry and it takes a while until she forgives you. If she does, consider yourself lucky." Nayeon didn't want to scare Mina but this was the only way.
Chaeyoung is patient and willing to sacrifice herself for the ones she loves, but when it comes to the point where she's tired and has had enough. Chaeyoung would consider that person as a stranger, someone who meant nothing to her.
Mina tried to speak but her voice was silenced. Instead Nayeon sighed and opened the door to the house, gesturing Mina to go inside who slowly followed, "I'll give you a pillow and a blanket. Go sleep in the guest room, there's enough room for you and Momo."
They both took off their jackets and there was no word spoken. No conversation started until Nayeon handed a few white pillows to Mina, "Tomorrow, Mina. If you see Chaeyoung, ignore her." It was obvious Mina was so drained out but Nayeon really didn't want to see another person hurt, in other words, she doesn't want to see Mina hurt while Chaeyoung is already in pain.
"Nayeon-"
"She doesn't want to you see you." Nayeon's tone was firm and it made Mina jump.
"So I hope you understand that."

Chaeyoung was already in her room and the sun was already in view as it shone through the windows. She knew that her dorm mates heard everything but she didn't bother checking in on them. After all, her exhaustion was just to much to handle.
It was around 7:30 am and her classes were starting soon but she ignored it, texting a few of her friends to just take notes for her. Avoiding Mina wasn't the priority anymore, Chaeyoung just didn't want to leave the house for a few hours. She was tired, drained and just wanted to sleep off everything.
"Hey Chaeyoung?" A frail voice entered the room, the cub glanced at the entrance and saw Somi standing in the doorway, a tired expression on her face.
"Somi, come in." Chaeyoung gestured in which Somi followed. At first it was awkward but the cub knew what this was about, "Did you hear everything?"
Somi subtly nodded, her eyes avoiding contact with Chaeyoung's. It was obvious she felt awkward considering about all the shouting but she still wanted to see if the cub Somi knew was ok, "Are you-"
"Ignore everything that happened." Chaeyoung smiled, "Arguments happen."
"But what you said to Mina. That didn't sound like a simple argument." Somi frowned.
"It wasn't." Chaeyoung sighed, patting Somi's head to comfort her, "But I needed to say those things."
Somi stayed quiet, not sure what to say considering that she knew what Chaeyoung's been through or at least a quarter of it. They both sat side by side each other until the cub started to speak once more, "Don't worry about me, I'll be ok." She chuckled.
"How about Mina?"
Chaeyoung winced, "Mina and I are on bad terms right now." The cub's sharp tone was noticeable but it was controlled, "So we won't be seeing each other for a while."
Somi sighed, placing her hand on Chaeyoung's shoulder, "What if she apol-"
"I don't care." Chaeyoung stood up, "What's done was done. Just let fate decide wether or not we're meant to be friends." The words may not have been directed to her but Somi was hurt for Mina. Those exact words sounded so harsh and cold but Somi couldn't even blame Chaeyoung.
"What about your feelings." Somi looked up, wondering if the same feelings stayed within Chaeyoung. The cub clenched her fists, looking back at Somi with this saddened her honest eyes,
"They're gone."
