"Joslynn wake up! wake up! WAKE UP!" My sister jumping on my bed. " Remind me again why I shouldn't punch you in you 9 year old face its 10 am on a Saturday Jazzy" I groaned rolling over pulling the blanket over my head. "Mom said get up and get dressed we are going to lunch with the Smiths at 11 " she said walking out my room. I groaned rolling my eyes forcing my self up I went to the bathroom and went straight in the shower not caring if the water was hot cold yellow blue or green. It was a peaceful shower until my mom banged on the door yelling at me to hurry up. " IVE LITERALLY BEEN IN HERE FOR 10 MIN MOM JESUS " I said annoyed not only did they wake me up early now they are rushing my shower I can't wait to move out.
I was finally dressed and ready to go just waiting on my parents and sister it was now 10:45 " Y'all are moving mighty slow for people that were just rushing me" I say to my parents
" Shut your ass up and go get in the car" my dad said laughing I grabbed my stuff and sat in the back seat with my sister waiting for my parents. I opened my song journal and continued on a song I've been writing about my ex our break up wasn't the nicest one he said some words that hurt me deeply but I never told anyone I just took that pain and focused on my song writing.
And babe I'm fist fighting with fire just to go close to you... " Oh that's good " I say to myself speaking out loud " What that sweetie?" My mom asked looking back at me " huh? Oh nothing sorry I was talking to myself" I told her putting my journal away. " So who are the Smith's" I asked looking out the window " Your dads coworker honey and they have kids y'all age two twin 10 year olds and a son who's 18" my mom said smiling at me. I love my mom but she always trying to play match maker.
We pulled up to a beautiful house it wasn't to much but it wasn't to little if you catch my point it looks cozy and homey we got out and walked to the door we patiently waited for some to answer the door. " Now girls I want you on your best behavior" my dad said looking back at us like we just aint got no home training. " Yes sir" we said and was soon greeted by Mr. Smith " Robert what a beautiful family you have and your girls just as pretty as can be come in come in" we walked in and was taken to the living room where the rest of the family waited for us "Guys this is my wife Anita, my daughters Tea and Mia and my son Algee" Mr. Smith said
" Nice to meet you all this is my Wife Kathy, and our daughters Joslynn and Jazzy " my father introduced us but the only thing I could focus on was the fine piece of chocolate in front of me Algee he was definitely fine.
" Why don't you girls take Jazzy and go play until the food is ready, and Algee you and Miss Joslynn go watch tv or what ever you teenagers do and keep the door open " his mom said as the adults walked into the back yard.
" So Joslynn my room is this way" Algee said leading me to his room. It wasn't what I expected it was clean and he had like a little recording studio in it "your rooms nice I love the little studio you got here" I said sitting my journal down and looking at all the stuff " Thank you I like to sing " he said smiling at me and I swear my heart damn near jumped out my heart. " so do I, I actually write songs as well" I told him returning the smile " You should sing something for me" he said sitting on his bed "oh I don't know my songs aren't all that " I said becoming shy all of a sudden " Why don't you let me be the judge of that " he said biting his lip
" O-okay" Dont mess up I told myself.
