You let out a groan as your phone rings
since you already know who it is.
You apparently have become Dean's driver when he is drunk. Every time Dean drinks a little too much you are that gets the call from the bartender telling you that you need to come get his ass because he is extremely, extremely drunk. Apparently, the reason is that you are the first person listed on Dean's phone.
So when Dean headed out to the bar tonight, claiming he is only going for a few shots, you knew he was lying and that you would have to be there to fetch him in a few hours.
You answer the phone and hear the usual female bartender that again you need to pick Dean up so you shrugged on your coat and head out the door.
I'm going to kill him. You think annoyed since tonight you wanted to relax and not have to worry about how you are going to get him into the car to get him home
You don't know why, since Dean won't tell you no matter how much you pester him, he has been heading to the bar a lot more recently. This used to be a once every two weeks thing but lately, it's been a twice a week type thing. You are starting to get really worried about him. In terms of the supernatural, things lately have been calmer. Right now there isn't a threat to the world so you know Dean isn't worried about that. So what is he worried about?
You walk into the bar after getting out of a taxi, you knew Dean would kill you if you left baby in the bar parking lot which why you didn't take your own car. Your eyes scan the crowded bar looking for a certain green-eyed hunter who you finally spot at the bar.
You quickly head over to him while dreading trying to get him to leave the bar. Since Dean always protests and throws a small hissy fit when you try to get him to leave.
Hopefully, I can get this done quick and I can return to watching Civil War. Chris Evans really pulls off that Captain America suit. You think before the normal blonde ponytail-wearing bartender walks up to you
"He's pretty drunk not gonna lie, I'm surprised he hasn't passed out yet. But don't worry, he hasn't been flirting with anyone tonight." says the waitress sending you a wink as she passes by you
Why....why would she tell me that Dean hasn't been flirting with anyone? You think confused as she had never said that in the past
You continue on your trek to Dean maneuvering around the crowd of drunk people until you finally reach him.
"Dean." You say in almost a scolding tone as you stand a little behind the green-eyed man
Dean doesn't seem to detect the tone in your voice as he turns to you with the most excited, smiley face.
"Y/N!" cheers Dean as he rushes to get out of his seat before stumbling towards you
Dean then quickly pulls you into a bear hug crashing you into his chest.
"I'm so glad you are here!" says Dean rocking the both of you back and forth
Dean pulls back looking at you with a huge grin that you can't help but chuckle at. Dean looking like an adorable little kid that was just told he can get candy which you find so cute.
"Dude! Shots!" yells another guy from the other side of the bar
"Oooh!" says Dean rushing away before you can stop him causing you to sigh
"Let me guess you are Y/N." guesses a dark-haired lady walking up to you
"Yeah, I am, how-how did you know?" You ask confused and a little on edge just in case she is some kind of monster
"That very hot green-eyed man over there was blabbering on and on about you." answers the woman making your cheeks turn red
"He was?" You question with surprise
"Yeah, I told you must be his girlfriend by the way he was talking about you. He was going on and on about how much he loves you. How pretty you are, how good you smell, and how much he loves being around you." answers the woman making your eyes widen and your jaw drop
"Though to your surprise I am going to assume you aren't his girlfriend." adds the woman and you nod confirming her suspicions
"Well, you should be. He's hot and totally in love with you." says the woman before she walks off
Dean.....Dean's in love with me? You think stunned but before you can dwell on this fact Dean stumbles back to you
"Y/N! Come drink with me!" exclaims Dean loudly with a goofy grin as he swings his arms around your shoulders that are now supporting him
"Or how about we go home and we watch a movie?" You suggest hoping for once he will just agree instead of throwing a fit
"Can we cuddle?" asks Dean with a raised brow
At first, you are taken back by his question but if it will get him to go home then...
"Sure." You answer with a soft smile making Dean's grin grow wider which you thought was impossible
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." says Dean quickly grabbing your hand
You can't help but chuckle as the older Winchester brother drags you out of the bar.
You sit in the driver's seat of baby driving home towards the bunker halfway there with Dean curled up to you. His eyes are closed and his mouth agape while he snores slightly. You think he looks adorable which you always think about Dean when he is asleep. He looks finally at peace, care-free, and boyish.
As you drive you can't help but think about what was told to you at the bar. You are trying to convince yourself Dean just said that because he is drunk. There is no way he likes you, he thinks of you as a sister. You had always had feelings for Dean but you had pushed those now for fear of losing your friendship and hunting partner. The person you cared about most in the world. You couldn't lose him especially over something like your feeling. You had done a good job at keeping those feelings locked away but it seemed tonight had broken that lock. Made all the feelings come flooding back that you had tried so hard to ignore.
Why did I have to fall for him? You think as you let out a sigh knowing that your feelings could possibly complicate everything
You had made it back to the bunker and to your dismay, a still drunk Dean remembered that you had promised to cuddle with him. So your head now rests on his chest with your legs tangled in with his while his fingers run through your hair. Some western cowboy movie plays on the tv that Dean wanted to watch.
"I love you Y/N." says Dean making your eyes widen
"W-what?" You choke out making Dean giggle
"I said I love you, silly." says Dean with a grin
"Dean-Dean, you're drunk. You-you, don't know what you are saying." You argue more trying to convince yourself really than anything else
"Yes, I do. I know exactly what I am saying. I love you Y/N, I always have always will." says Dean with a nod of his head
"Dean....why don't we talk about this when I am sober?" You suggest
"Okay, you can tell me that you love me back then." says Dean wrapping his arms around you tighter before burying his head into your hair
Your cheeks a bright red tint now and your heart racing.
Dean awakes the next morning with a groan when he notices that you are cuddled up next to him.
What happened last night? thinks Dean with a confused look as he rubs his temple trying to reveal the pounding in his head
You wake up from being awoken by Dean moving around.
"Hey." You grumble as you sit up rubbing your eyes
"What happened last night? I feel like shit." says Dean with a small groan
"You look like it too." You retort with a small chuckle that made Dean roll his eyes
"Last night you got drunk and I had to come get you at the bar but the only way I could get you to come home was by promising you could cuddle with me." You add biting your bottom lip softly
You decided not to bring up the whole I love you thing or what happened at the bar. Dean was drunk last night and if he didn't mean what he said, which he probably didn't, then it would only make things awkward between you.
"Oh." says Dean with a blush now on his cheeks embarrassed he did that to you
You chuckle finding blushing Dean Winchester adorable.
"I'm going to make some breakfast and you some coffee." You say getting out of the bed
"Thanks, Y/N, you are the best." says Dean with a small
"I know." You say as you walk out of the room
The rest of the day Dean noticed that you seemed weird. Whenever he would go to touch you would move away and whenever he got close you seemed to tense up which was unusual for you too. Normally Dean and you would sing together, dancing around, and Dean would also swing you around most of the time while you made breakfast. Today though you seemed to shy away from him and he is desperately trying to figure out why.
What I do something last night that overstep some kind of boundary? Is it why Y/N is being weird? Thinks Dean as he walks into his room after lunch
Dean pulls his phone out deciding to listen to music while he scrambles his brain to figure out what happened last night. Instead of clicking the music app though, he clicks on his camera roll.
"What's that?" questions Dean out loud in a whisper as he notices a video that was definitely not on his phone yesterday
Maybe this can tell me why Y/N is acting weird. Thinks Dean as he clicks on the video
The video quickly starts showing a smiley drunk Dean cuddled up to an asleep you.
"Hey, future sober Dean. I bet you feel like shit." says past Dean on the phone slurring and laughing
Present Dean though doesn't laugh.
"What did your stupid, drunk ass do?" mumbles present Dean keeping his eyes locked on the screen in front of him
"Well, buddy, I bet you don't remember last night.....you told Y/N that you love her finally!" exclaims past Dean through the phone making a sober Dean's eyes widen
"And you know what she said! She said to talk to her when she's sober and she'll tell you that she loves you then." says past Dean making present Dean's jaw drop
"Well, she didn't exactly say that but that's what she meant. I know it." says drunk Dean with a smile
I-I told Y/N that I love her. Thinks Dean as his heart races from nerves
"Well, I'm tired so bye!" says Dean before the video ends while a present Dean runs a hand down his face
What am I going to do? Thinks Dean slightly freaking out
You sit on your read reading a random lore book you found in the library when a knock on your door interrupts. You look up from the book to see a nervous looking Dean Winchester standing in the doorway.
"Hey." You say with a small smile as Dean walks into the room
"Hey." says Dean softly as he takes a sit on the end of your bed
"What's wrong?" You ask as you notice how tense and nervous Dean is, immediately setting your book down
"It's.....I know what I said to you last night." says Dean looking into your eyes after you moved closer to him
"You know that about the-" you start but stop once Dean nods making you look down at your hands feeling quite awkward
You had no clue where this conversation was going to go.
Dean runs a hand down his face as he sighs.
"Y/N....since it's already out there. I have to be honest.....what I said last night was true. I do love you, always have. I've just been too scared to tell you, I didn't want to ruin our friendship, but...But hopefully, I didn't. If you don't like me back hopefully we can still be friends and..if you do hopefully this is going to be the start of something great." says Dean as he musters up all of his confidence and courage
You can't stop yourself from giggling at how adorable Dean looks and how happy you are.
"I love you too, you big goofball, how could I not? You are amazing and the man I have ever met." You say making a grin grow on Dean's face
"And here I was worried you had put me in the friend zone." comments Dean always one to ruin the chick flick moment as he leans his face closer to yours
"With a face like that? Impossible." You retort as your face inches closer to his
Your eyes flicker down to Dean's before his lips crash down onto yours for the very first time. You finally got the kiss from the man you love that you have been waiting for what seems forever on. Not to boost Dean's ego but it was definitely worth the wait.
