You were at your home snuggled up in a blanket eating some Chinese take out you got tired from a long day at work when your doorbell rung.
Probably the neighbor wanting to borrow something. You think as you weren't expecting any guests tonight while padding your way to the front door
When you look through the window though your eyes widen at the person standing on your front porch.
"Dean?" You say with surprise as you look at him
Once you fully take him in your eyes only widen as they stare at the huge cut on his forehead.
"H-hey, Y/N." says Dean nervously
Even though Dean was in pain with tears also in his eyes, he couldn't help but be focus on how stunning you look. Sure, you are in pj shorts and some t-shirt but to Dean you always look amazing.
"What-what are you doing here?" You ask confused
You know you should probably be rushing him inside and cleaning his cut up but your curiosity had gotten the best of you. Shouldn't Dean be at the hospital not here with you? Plus why would he even come to you? The two of you haven't eve talked since after the breakup that happened about six months ago.
Dean chokes softly as he remembers the events that happened not even 12 hours ago. His eyes and head moving away from yours as he tries to collect himself.
"I-I didn't know where else to go." answers Dean softly
Your heart breaks as you look at the man you used to be in love with, still actually are in love with even though you try to deny it.
"I-I shouldn't have come here I-I'll go. I'm sorry to have dis-" starts Dean thinking you don't want him here
"No, Dean, come on, it's okay. At least come on inside and let me clean up before you leave." You say placing a gently but firm hand on his forearm
Dean's eyes finally find yours again only to see concern and gentleness in them not disgust like he thought.
"Okay." says Dean softly making your smile grow a tad bit
Dean was never one that liked to be taken care of he actually despises it so for him to let you clean up you knew meant a lot.
20 minutes later, Dean is sat on your kitchen hour with your finishing up doing stitches on his forehead.
"You really should have gone to the hospital Dean. I'm not the best at giving stitches." You scold as you finish up making him wince
"I know but you know how much I hate hospitals." jokes Dean hoping to lighten the mood making you roll your eyes
"Here." You instruct handing Dean a glass of water and a pain pill
Dean quickly gulps both down. The two of you look at each other for a little, a now awkward tension settling in the air.
"So where's your dad?" You ask softly knowing John would not want Dean to be here
"He's-he's been gone on a hunt for a few days hasn't called or answered any of my texts so....you know what that means." says Dean softly
"I'm sorry." You say as sympathy floods in your eyes
You finally fully understand with Sam at college and his dad probably dead, he hadn't known where to go so he came to you. Probably straight after finishing up a hunt where he got the huge cut on his head from knowing Dean.
"I-I regret not showing up every day." confesses Dean softly making you suck in a deep breath
Six months ago, Dean and you had made a plan. You were both going to get out of the life. Sam having left for college and left Dean so he had no reason left to stay. Dean had always secretly wanted to get out of the life, something he had told you. You were the daughter of a hunter and had always dreamed to get out of the life. It was actually Dean's idea to run away. The two of you were supposed to meet at the airport for a 7:30 flight to Virginia. You showed up all excited to get the life you wanted with the man you love but Dean never showed up.
"Dean, let's-let's not talk about this. It's in the pass." You say looking away from his bright green eyes
"No, no, I have to get this off of my chest. I-I need you to understand." says Dean hoping off of the counter walking towards you
"I didn't show up because I didn't want to go, hell it's all I wanted for years or because I didn't love you, nothing could be less true. My dad-dad found out about our plans and stopped me from coming." says Dean after he wrapped your hand in his
At Dean's statement you turned around and looked into his eyes searching them to see if he was being sincere.
"Why didn't you call me?" You ask softly
"He disconnected my phone and by the time I got a new one I guess you got a new number."
answers Dean making you nod
"I still love you Y/N and I know that's selfish of me to say since you probably moved on by now. Still I need you to know that I love you all and that are you all I have thought about in the last six months. You are all I want." says Dean causing surprise to cover your face
"I-I still love you too." You admit softly as you give his hand a small squeeze
You could see a bright happy fire light in his as well as relief shining in them.
"Is there anyway you still would want me as your boyfriend again and that you still want to do all the things we talked about together?" asks Dean with hope in his eyes something that had not been there for six months now
"Definitely, Winchester." You answer as you inch closer to the boy in front of you who now beams at you something you had only seen a hand full of times that makes butterflies erupt in your stomach
"Have I ever told you how perfect you are?" asks Dean as he looks at you in awe
"Maybe a few times." You say with a grin that makes Dean laugh before his lips crash down to yours
That's when Dean Winchester finally knew he had gotten his dream.
