a shower should have been welcoming
little could we detect
nor did we expect
to be
cleansed, nourished and drenched
right at the train station

we squealed
running to our car
clapping
clothes flapping
enjoying
the surreal exhilaration.

we began waving our arms
leaning out of the window
zigzagging on soaked roads
enjoying
sky's thundering
indigo disco.
The pine trees
joined us
by
dancing and crooning
their
needle leaves
twirling and cajoling
drooping
wooden babyfruits
to keep their chin up
because
somewhere near
a picture was being clicked
in close-up.
