the sun shone so vainly
as though it were mocking me
it slapped me with the reality
that i was the only one drowning in misery
you were dancing
with eyes ablaze
towards perfection, your gaze
clothes drenched in sweat
but you kept moving
you suddenly glanced at me
accidentally
to say that you were obedient was a lie
i told you to stay away or you'll die
yet you didn't care
you offered your hand
i was hesitant
in the end
i accepted it
