Clutching your notebook on hand, you inhaled deeply as you pushed the car door open with an anxious expression on your face. Yesterday was the end of summer, and today is the starting of hell. Oh well, that is for the others for sure — you loved going to school. But the main thought of society being a bitch can never be avoided.
❝ Honey, don't forget to eat okay? ❞ Your mother hand signed as you nodded with a weary smile, waving as you continued your way towards the entrance of the school.
People started to stare at you for being new, some just minding their own business which so made you at ease. Well, not until a guy came to you with a huge smile plastered on his face.
❝ Hey! The name is Eric, and you're the new girl right? ❞ he asked, of course you heard it because of your hearing aid. But instead of writing down a response, you pointed your hearing aid for him to see— which made him gawk at it.
Others would have find it rude to stare, you would have to but the fact that a lot of people had the same expression on their faces whenever they introduce themselves to you — you're getting used to it now. ❝ I– ugh, well how about I'll ask questions from time to time and you go for a nod if it's a yes, and shake your head if it's a no. Deal? ❞
You were shocked, indeed. People you met back in Las Vegas weren't fond of talking to you for so long, they clearly wanted sentences falling from your lips. Eric is a different person, he's still as jovial as if he's talking to a person who he's very close with. ❝ So, I take it — you just moved here in Forks? ❞
With a nod, he smiled at you. Insisting that he'd come with you at the main office to get your files, once you had it he also grabbed his schedule as he checked his and yours, twice.
❝ Oh hey! We're having English and Math. . And Chemistry! Come on, let's get us to our first class. ❞
He said, grasping your hands and almost dragging you like a rag doll. Trying to keep up, you ran next to him as he then looked at different rooms and finally ushering for you to walk first as he pointed at a room.
❝ So basically here in Forks, we're going to stay at our events hall during the first day to know more of the professors and stuff. And rules are to be said and blah blah, don't worry I'll be with you the whole day. ❞ Eric said as he sent you a playful wink, making you laugh yet no sound was spilt.
After waiting for your homeroom teacher, all of you went out towards the event hall that Eric was talking about. Some of his friends started introducing themselves to you, but before they'd ask further — Eric was there to explain things which they gladly understood.
Angela was talking about the pictures she'll be taking and the newest headlines there will be, while Jessica was talking about new dresses she happen to find in Port Angeles as well as Bella's relationshiop with Edward who are walking behind you.
❝ Believe me, first day in school is pretty much boring. Sometimes I'd sleep during the speech or maybe follow the lines that the President of the school would always say. ❞ Eric said, with a stretch on his back as if exaggerating as much. Then opening the door of the event hall only to be greeted by the coldness of the AC.
If it couldn't get any more colder.

❝ Please, feel yourself at home. I'll call Bella in for you then I'll order some pizza. ❞ Alice hand signed to you which you returned with a thanks. Surprisingly, the Cullens had a party located on their hourse. People are having a good time,
well you're not.
Let's just say too much sound irritates your hearing aid, every so often you had to lessen the sensitivity. And the dress that hugs your curves is making you hard to breathe, so you had to tug the hem of your dress but it'll display your chest more which made you furious.
Trying to put on a smile as the other students greeted, you then made your way outside the house only to breathe in the nice smell of nature. No air pollution and such, Las Vegaz has it all and you did not like it.
❝ [ name ]! what are you doing here? ❞ Jacob hand signed to you, as you smiled at him. His friends waving at you with a grin, the others started learning American Sign Language so they could converse with you in an easier way for your sake.
It took them some time, but now it's worth it that practically all your friends converse to you in such way. ❝ I don't like crowds. ❞ you signed back with a weary smile,
Jacob sighed as Jared came behind him, ❝ How about we'll talk here outside instead? We don't like crowds too, and there's some benches to your left. We'll bring some food, you go ahead. ❞ Jared signed which you happily nodded, turning away from them as you made your way towards the benches he spoke of.
A grateful smile crept up to your face as you sat and took your heels, with a strangled sigh as you struggled taking it off. Now resting your back, gazing at the stars that twinkled brightly before you.
Feeling the presence of the boys, you tilted your head back at them only to see them holding some junk food, three boxes of pizza, and different drinks on hand. The Cullen family started filling in the benches as well as Emmett and Embry are taking care of the bonfire.
❝ Alice and Jasper are inside, she said she couldn't leave her guests until 10PM. And it's 9:30. ❞ Esme signed at you as you nodded in understanding, standing up to grab yourself some pizza as you sat back down with Jacob just beside you.
❝ We're gonna sit here all night! ❞ Embry signed while doing a victory dance as Quil and Seth joined him. Earning a few laughs from the others as you giggled,
The night indeed continue with stories, they were getting a hang of their hang sign as you'd smile every so often after realizing they had done it for you. Their laughs were satisfying to hear, although some are too loud which would made you wince but you just love the way how they're so happy.
Jasper and Alice soon joined the group with a little speaker in hand as they started to play some lofi music that made everyone relax. Earlier, the party was a blast and people were almost hangover and they just so happen to be there for an hour. In mixed with different smell of the liquor and sweat bodies — they couldn't handle it much further.
Tonight was something you never wanted to miss out, something you knew for yourself that you will never forget. With a smile on your face, you grabbed another piece of pizza when two drunk ladies came in.
❝ Oh look! Is that [ name ]? ❞ The brunette asked, pointing just next to you but not at you directly. Knowing they weren't at the right mind and their vision might be swirling.
The other brunette hiccuped, ❝ Yeah! H–hey, I don't know what's special in her though I mean. She's deaf but other than that, she's clearly nothing. ❞
Gasps came from the family as you drifted your eyes from them to the ground, knowing that a lot of people had said that to you anyways but you chose to ignore it. Albeit trying to act like you never heard what they said, tears began to fill your vision.
❝ And she's n–not pretty— ❞
❝ That's enough. ❞ Jacob responded, jaw clenching as he sent Jared and Embry to bring those women back to their houses. To divert your attention, you grabbed your phone and opened a few of your social medias only to see a message from your inbox that made the tears break loose.
Wiping it harshly, you grabbed your heels as you tucked your phone on your clutch. Speed walking in the process so your friends wouldn't go after you, from afar you pressed the button on the car's keypad as it unlocked automatically.
Once reaching the door, you opened it as you pushed all your things onto the passenger seat and locked the harness of the driver's seat onto your body safely. Turning the engine on as you left the house with no hesitation.
Why are they hanging out with you, again?

❝ Where do you think she is now? ❞ Alice asked Jacob as she threw her phone through her Jeepney's window as she opened the door for her to strap herself in the driver's seat. Jasper then sat at the passengers seat while Jacob and Embry were seated at the back.
❝ Pizza Hut, ❞ Embry said, the three looked at him in questioning as he responded with an exasperated groan.
❝ Well?! I go there when I'm sad! ❞
❝ I'm talking about her, not about you – ahole. ❞ Alice said, turning the engine on as she drove through the quiet road. Thinking of where she could possibly go,
Embry then muttered something to himself yet due to their enhanced hearing skills, they still heard it. ❝ That's just mean ❞
Alice shook her head in disagreement as Jasper dialed Edward's phone, he was with Bella — Seth, Paul, and Quil.
❝ Is she there? ❞ Jasper asked, but a sigh only responded him with a ' no ' as an answer. Edward thought she might have left and went home but sadly, she wasn't there and her mother was worried.
Everybody's worried.
❝ Shit. ❞ Jasper said before ending the call, now calling his father who was with Esme, Emmett, and Rosalie.
A few rings echoed through the silent car, ❝ You guys seen her? ❞
❝ I roamed around the town already, she's not here in Forks. ❞ Carlisle said, everybody was saddened about what had happened earlier. Alice was blaming herself because she didn't got to check again if all of her guests were out.
She was begging to see visions of her, yet nothing appeared. She was furious, and Jasper could feel the sudden change of mood from her — but he couldn't do anything when he knows for himself that he's feeling the same.
Jacob was thinking of where she could possibly be outside Forks, He knew that [ name ] isn't really a fan of going out so knowing her — she only knew a few places for herself. And those places are only in Forks, other than that it's nothing.
Trying to calm themselves, Embry tried to talk again.
❝ I think I know where she is! ❞ He bellowed with a grin on his face, as if an imaginary light bulb appeared just above his head. Alice then looked back at him by the rearview mirror.
She rose her eyebrow, anticipating for an answer. ❝ The Ice Cream Parlor! ❞
Everybody inside the car groan as Embry looked at them almost as innocent as one, confused as to why nobody would like to take his suggestion. ❝ But, Seth told me girls go to the ice cream parlor to calm themselves or for them to feel satisfactory after having a bad day. . ❞

You were ignoring your friends' text messages since three hours ago, it was a good thing that it's a Saturday now that it's midnight. You weren't at home, nor to any food shops there is that's surprisingly 24/7 open this time. You had left Forks, but you knew for yourself you're coming back. Well, not now that is.
You were walking back and forth, contemplating if it's a good idea to stay in a hotel in Port Angeles. It was a good thing you had brought your card with you today, you thanked yourself for leaving soon.
Grabbing your phone, you sent your mother a message.
Hey mom, please don't wait for me to come home. I'll be
there by Sunday, I'm just hoping it'll be okay for you if I
am to stay out for awhile.

Exhaling loudly, you sent your mom your location. Then turning the television on as you watched some cartoons to clear your mind a bit, it didn't matter now as to what will be happening by Monday.
But you were sure that you really wanted to clear your mind off of things.
You grabbed your phone as you stared at your lockscreen wallpaper, it was you and Jacob doing faces at the camera. Besides Eric, Jacob was really looking out for you all the time. Somehow, despite the short matter of time knowing each other — you have grown quite some liking to him.
You knew he wouldn't reciprocate your feelings any time soon, you knew for yourself it's better to keep it a secret instead. Turning your phone off, you looked at the clock as you have noticed it's been ten minutes since you have talked to your mom.
A knock then came from your door, as you stood up quickly. Opening the door only to be surprised to see a saddened Jacob, looking at you with a frown plastered on his face. While you, you gasped suddenly seeing him.
Without your consent, he slid his arms to your waist as he burried his face deeper on to the nape of your neck. Inhaling your strawberry perfume that in any way intoxicates him, still frozen in your spot — you looked behind him to see your mom with a sad smile along with your friends.
Tears suddenly filled your vision for the nth time as you hugged Jacob back, spilling the liquid onto his shirt yet he didn't seem to mind. Only for him to hug you closer, his warmth making you feel at ease.
When you noticed that the others had left the hallway, he wasn't ready to let go but he sure as hell ready to say something to you.
❝ please. . ❞
his hands ran through your back, as yours found his hair with a content smile.
❝ come home. ❞
