Jeremy went straight to their usual spot. It didn't take him long which he was happy about. He knew Mabel would be in his ear if he made her wait long.
If it were anyone else he could care less about making them wait but he respected Mabel too much. He pulled down an abandoned dead end street. The end of the street lead into a forest which was where he needed go.
Right as he parked his car he saw Mabel waiting at the foot of the forest. Mabel looked good as always in fact saying she looked good was a complete understatement. Jeremy remembers when he use to be in love with her well at least he thought he was.
She has long brown hair and perfect olive tanned skin. Mabel's eyes matched her hair perfectly and had curves in all the right places.
Jeremy stepped out of his car and made his way over to where she stood. He regretted not bringing some extra clothes with him to change into. He was still dressed in his suit from work.
Mabel was dressed in a casual pair of jeans and a white long sleeved shirt that clung to her body and her hair was pulled up into a pony tail. Mabel hardly ever smiled but this time she was smiling.
"Well hello Mr. Gage" She purred in a sly voice. He just chuckled. "What's up?" He asked while stopping a few feet in front of her.
She just rolled her eyes and waved her hand for him to follow. He knew this routine. They have had the same one for years.
He quietly followed behind in till they were deeper in the forest away from the public eye. She stepped behind a tree to undress herself and Jeremy did the same.
Once he finished removing his clothing and folding it neatly he let the side of him that no one except Mabel knew take over.
The feeling of his bones cracking and moving took over. He has grown use to the feeling and now he actually enjoys it. He could feel all his muscles inside him expand and grow stronger. He soon was standing on four paws.
He stretched out his front paws and growled in pleasure. He missed this feeling considering he had not shifted for a few weeks. He normally only shifts when he meets up with Mabel.
Jeremy stepped out from behind the tree and saw that Mabel was ready as well. Mabel had brown fur that you just wanted to run your fingers through and warm brown eyes. Jeremy on the other hand had deep black fur that shined and his eyes were a bright blue that would almost glow.
Mabel took off in to the forest and Jeremy quickly followed behind her. He loved letting lose in the forest and letting out his frustration. He easily blew pass Mabel.
He was much stronger and faster than Mabel. He had much more stamina. He thought it was just because he was a male.
They continued to run throughout the forest for a while in till Mabel slowed down her pace. Jeremy came to a stop when he realized Mabel was quiet. He turned back and slowly walked over to her side.
Mabel's ears were sticking straight up as if she was listening for something. Jeremy mocked her actions and tried listening for any detection of someone or something while scanning the forest with his eyes.
He wasn't detecting any type of threat so he nudged Mabel with his snout on her side. She stayed still for another moment before moving behind a tree and shifting back.
She stepped out and Jeremy lowered his eyes to the ground. He didn't want her to freak out like she did last him he looked at her naked.
"I think I caught on to one of their scents." She spat like there was acid in her mouth. Jeremy growled through his teeth and stepped closer to Mabel in a protective way.
"It's okay, the scent was weak so they must have been here earlier." She said lightly to ease Jeremy. Jeremy hated pack wolves just as much as Mabel did.
Mabel had told Jeremy about how ruthless pack wolves are and how they think they are higher than anyone else. A pack wolf had murdered Mabel's love. She already hated them but that pushed her over the edge and she was out for revenge now.
Shortly after her lover was murdered she came across Jeremy. She confided in him with her past and offered him a life as a wolf along with her. Jeremy being the dorky sixteen year old he was than he of course couldn't deny her offer.
All he had to do was side with her and help gain her revenge. He remembers how painful his transformation was. It would make him shiver in pain anytime he thought of it. Over the years with Mabel he grew to hate the pack wolves just as much.
Jeremy and Mabel have killed many pack wolves and have never been caught. Jeremy noticed over the years that he mainly does the dirty work. Mabel would always somehow disappear during the attack.
He didn't care though because what he got in return was beyond worth it to him and he didn't need the help anyway. He was no longer the lanky kid who was invisible to the world.
He stood out now and people respected him and were intimidated by him. Women adored him. He couldn't possibly ask for more.
"Let's head back." she said quickly before shifting back into her wolf. They ran back to were they meet up a few hours ago. They dressed themselves and stepped out of the forest. Mabel and Jeremy didn't need to talk much.
They were comfortable with the silence and spoke when it was necessary. Jeremy walked back to his car but before getting in he looked up to Mabel who was by her car as well.
"Mabel, I'll make sure every last one of them gets what they deserve." Jeremy stated in a calm and even toned voice that would send shivers down anyone's spine.
He felt the need to remind her that he is loyal to her. He knew Mabel was suffering from her past and he wanted to help her like she helped him.
Mabel just gave him a stiff nod and slid into her car. She sped off before Jeremy even closed his door. Jeremy checked his phone in hopes to see that Elizabella had texted him. He couldn't help but feel the disappointment take over when he saw that only Shelly had texted him.
He didn't feel the need to go to the gym now so he decided to just pick up some take out for himself and head back to his flat, alone.
After finishing his take out and watching pointless TV. Jeremy decided on taking a shower and calling it a night. He stayed in the shower in till the water went cold.
He couldn't help but think of Elizabella the whole time. He imagined her petite body being in the shower with him and all of the things he could do to please her. The thought of getting her off was enough to get him off.
He hardly knew this woman yet he couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to be near her. He of course would love to fool around with her but he would be just as happy to have her next to him again while they slept.
Jeremy couldn't fall asleep and it was close to midnight. He decided that maybe he wouldn't seem too desperate by calling Elizabella. He quick grabbed his phone and dialed her number before he could change his mind.
The call went to voice mail and he didn't want to leave a message because that would definitely seem desperate. He was worried as to why she didn't answer his call. He hoped she wasn't avoiding him now because she wasn't interested in him.
That thought alone made his chest feel tight. He didn't want to believe that was the reason. He decided it was probably because she was working and that thought wasn't much better.
He hated knowing that she worked there. He had to convince himself not to go to her work and drag her out again. He wouldn't hold back on her manager either if he gave her a hard time again. In fact he would break anyone's jaw who even looked at her in the wrong way.
Jeremy decided that he was thinking crazy and he needed to just stop. He doesn't even know this girl. After an hour of fighting between staying put and going to get her, he fell asleep.
He woke up to his phone going off he glanced at the clock which read three in the morning. He saw Elizabella's name light up on the screen of his phone he quickly answered. "Hello?" His voice was husky from just waking up.
She giggled into the phone which made him smile. "I'm sorry did I wake you? I was just returning the call. I forgot how late it was." She said nervously. "It's OK. I was only calling to say hello I guess..." He said awkwardly. He wanted to kick himself for how pathetic he just sounded.
"Oh, well I just got off work." He balled his fist, he couldn't help it. He hated her job. "Are you okay getting home? You shouldn't walk this late especially in that area." He said sounding too concerned.
"No I'm fine, I'm in a cab now." He was relived with knowing she wouldn't be walking. "Well I was just returning the call. I hope I didn't bother you. Sleep well yeah?" She said softly.
He wished she would be heading to his flat and not her friend's. "Yeah, but hey would you like to hang out again on Friday? I mean if you aren't busy." Jeremy said quickly.
It was quite for a moment. "Um, sure yeah. I get off work early this Friday so you can just pick me up from there." He had a huge grin on his face now while he punched the air in excitement.
"Great, I'll see you then love." He said while trying to mask his excitement but failing terribly.
They got off the phone and Jeremy was able to fall back asleep now without any trouble. He couldn't wait for Friday to come. Luckily, he only had two more days to go. He could manage that.
A/N ---- Finally an update! I am so sorry for this long wait! I had already had this whole book written but I decided to go with a different plot and a lot was going on so it got put off for so long.
