After a busy day at the studio, rehearsing finalizing stuff etc. the couple decided to take Ava to the beach for practice for Hawaii.
Ava at this point in her life has never been to the beach. Now that she has her walking ( some what) figured out. They wanted to put her to the test.
"How do you think she'll react?" Ally asked Austin
" I don't know.. she likes the pool, but the beach is a whole different ball game, and we need her to actually like the beach before we go to an island" he said
" damn traffic" she said gripping the wheel " reason 10000 why I miss Florida"
" let's not start that debate again" he said putting his feet up " besides don't be bitter, you lost ' not it' ahaha"
She rolled her eyes and pushed her hair back with her sunglasses
" anyways we have a busy couple of months ahead of us.. the wedding, Ava's birthday, tour.." she said
" can't you just enjoy the fact that we're about to have a beach day with our kid for the first time and not freaking out over stuff.." he said " my God.. maybe you need this beach day more than she does don't we now Ally" he said in a childish tone
" you're annoying me" she said
" I do it cause I love youuuu" he sang " don't be mad because you have to driveeee"

They finally reach the beach after an hour sitting in traffic with a whiny baby
They get out the car
" smile Ally" he said to her as he nudged her shoulder playfully
" No.." she said bitterly
" do it.." he said
" fudge no!" She said " I'm annoyed"
" the baby is watching!" He said
She smiles
" there it is.." he said " you should have known better to say ' not it' quicker" he said kissing Ava's cheek
" you are not my favorite person right now" she mumbled
" okay let's see if she likes the sand" he said
He attempted to put her on to the sand
" ahhh " Ava said resisting she held her little feet up to avoid the sand
" hey it's okay! It's fun! Just like the sand in your sand box!!" Ally assures her
Ava whines
" let's try again once we out every thing down" he said
Ally nodes in agreement
" it's going to be so much fun! Look there's the water and sand and fishes and everything!!" She encouraged her daughter
They sat down on the blanket under the umbrella
Austin picks up some sand into his hands " look see it's fun to play with"
Ava turned away completely uninterested
" hey you can't be our kid if you hate the beach.. we're floridans, well you're Californian.. same thing but still" he said to Ava
Ava looks at him but gets up to sit on her mother's lap
" I don't blame her the beach is.." she said
" you know both of you teaming up against me is exactly what I was afraid of when we found out she was a girl" he said
Ally smiled and rose her eyebrows at him
" there's noooo way my kids aren't gonna not like the ocean!" He said " come here"
He takes Ava's hand
" Austin Moon! You're not gonna take my baby out into The Sun with out any sun screen on!" She said
" you're such a mom." He laughed
" okay when she's screaming her head off because she's sunburned don't come to me" she said
She lathers up her daughter with sun screen which annoyed Ava
" okay now can we go.." he asked
" no.. come here" she said
" ohhh Okay I get it!" He said Puckering his lips
She squeezes The Sun screen on his face
" now lather it." She said
" your mother is mean" he said to Ava
"No.. she just doesn't want either of you to get burned" she said rubbing the sunscreen on him
" you care about me" he smiled
" of course I do.." she said
" okay now you guys can go" she said " have fun"
" you're not coming?" He asked
" no.." she said " why would I when I have a book and cold water to drink"
" that's not fun" he said " were supposed to do this together! And take fun pictures! As a family"
" okay fine, only because it's Ava's first time" she said getting up
" ahhhh... lose the cover up" he smiled
She pulled the cover up over her head " better?"
" yes so much" he smiled bitting his lip
" oh please don't" she said getting up again
" no no.." he said he picked up the bottle and squirted sunscreen on her chest " lather up and then you can join us"
She glared at him
" hey I'm being PG" he shrugged his shoulder
" oh my god" she said
After lathering up they held on to Ava's hand and walked on the sand
She gave mixed reactions
" I can't tell if she likes it or not." He said
" yea.. me either it's funny tho" she giggled
Ava randomly decided to sit down and play with the sand
" aww this is so cute!!" He said
" I have to take a dozen pictures!" She said taking her phone out
" we have the cutest kid ever" he said
" we do" she said
Ava gets up and walks a bit further
And they followed behind her watching her explore the beach
" and we were worried for nothing" he said
" I know!! This puts me in a much better mood!!" She said
" That's a relief.. a cranky Ally is a mean Ally" he said
" Gotchu!" She scoops up the laughing baby and tosses her up
Ava giggles loudly
" you two are absolutely adorable.. my cute wife making my even cuter daughter laugh!!" He said
" we're equally cute" ally said
Ava gives her a kiss and her mother's heart nearly melted " awww she agrees!!"
" I want one too!" He said putting his face to Ava's face
" oh thank you" He said " that was a wet one" he said wiping his lips
He gives Ally a kiss on the lips too " I know you're the jealous type" he joked
She rolled her eyes " let's see how she reacts to putting her feet In the water, that's the real test"
She puts Ava down and they held her little hand and walked slowly up to the water
Once the water hit her feet she got really excited
" yes! YES! Thank goodness my child likes the ocean" Austin said
" we have nothing to worry about when we get to Hawaii!" Ally said
" phew" they both said before high giving each other
They lower down to Ava's level once she sat her self on the ground
" isn't it fun?" Ally asked
Ava made a funny face when the water hit her bottom
" it's okay! It's just water!" Austin said
" she's so grown up" Ally said
" I know.." he responded " too fast.. I can't wait till I can throw her in.. she's gonna be the most sporty girl ever"
" can't wait for the day" Ally said sarcastically
He kisses her cheek over and over, and she smiles
" best beach day ever" She said
