you were waiting for paul by the balcony - you knew he'd be home soon as you were asking and bothering leah earlier to tell you what time he's gonna go back. and now that it's 11PM sharp as shown on your clock, you waited for him to arrive soon.
the shuffling of the keys snapped you out of your thousand thoughts as you jumped in your feet and suddenly bolted into a sprint to greet paul with your loving, big, and warm hug. his arms were only set on his sides as you were hugging him - and this set you off.
❝ is there something wrong, hun? ❞ you asked, worriedly as you looked at him waiting for a response. yet all you ever got was a heavy sigh and him side-stepping your figure as if you never existed there.
you stood frozen on your ground, completely analyzing what's going on and what mistake did you do now? you were completely cooperating with him throughout the months you've spent your time together.
you slowly turned around, and looked at him still unfazed of what happened. ❝ paul? did i do something wrong? ❞
he only grunted in response as you bit your lip - already getting frustrated. you ran your hand through your hair as you looked at him in an almost pissed way.
❝ oh come on, paul. how are we supposed to fix this if you're not gonna tell me anything? you told me no secrets anymore, right? ❞ your voice almost hinted of slight irritation as you waited for his response.
you looked at him worriedly, he laughed coldy, ❝ you know what, neveen? news spread like a wildfire here in our place - rumors of you contacting with somebody else? huh, ❞
your fists fell beside you as you felt soft knowing he needed reassurance at the moment, ❝ paul, sweetheart, you know i'd never do such thing. it's not true, you know? i'm loyal to you because you're my mate and we're destined to be together. ❞
❝ that, i'm starting to doubt. ❞ he replied as if to lighten the mood with his fake laugh, but in return you looked at him in disbelief.
you looked at him, eyes already begging. ❝ but, paul! i told you i'm not contacting any other guy nor flirting with anyone! i'm being loyal to you for months and onwards, ❞
❝ oh ho, acting innocent are we? just drop off the act and tell me who the fuck the guy is?! was he handsome, smart, and tall like how you wanted it to be?! ❞ he growled as you looked at him confused and dipped in anger, it took you a lot of control - not trying to punch him right there.
your hands clenched to fists, as you inhaled deeply. ❝ don't you trust me, paul? ❞
❝ it's constantly fading, yeah. ❞
you bit your lip to suppress the tears that's been wanting to be spilled, ❝ well fuck you for not trusting your own mate! for believing other people's words and rumors rather than me! i'm sorry to disappoint your ignorance but it's not true! ❞
❝ says the one who'd cheat just because her mate wanted to take his job seriously! i mean, can you not take your hands to yourself?! you're being selfish and inconsiderate of my feelings! am i not good enough for you? am i not showing too much affection? because god damn it - neveen i'm trying to be a perfect mate for you! and i'm just so tired of your bullshit! you always stress me out! ❞ he bellowed as you looked at him furiously.
grabbing your phone from your pocket, you turned to him - ❝ you want proof?! here! search for it asshole! ❞
you then left the living room and off to the bedroom you went, grabbing your backpack as you shoved all of the important things there - passport, money, clothings, and personal products as you quickly wore your shoes and headed out.
you roughly wiped the tears from your eyes as you saw him looking at you, guilty. you would've laughed at his expression but because you were too pissed you side-stepped him just like how he did to you earlier,
eyes puffy and red as tears continued falling - you felt his hand pulled you back by your wrist but you tugged your wrist wanting to escape his firm grasp. ❝ i'm sorry, neveen. i was out of control a-and took things worse. ❞
❝ dang right, you did. ❞ you responded, voice raspy as you tugged your wrist yet again hoping to escape him but failed. you stood still on your tracks as sobs echoed through the lonely room and tears dripped rolling on your wet cheeks.
he tried to compose himself before speaking yet again but is now stuttering, ❝ i-i was afraid to lose. . you. i was too a-angered by the thought and i-instead i hurt you in the p-process. ❞
you scoffed as you tried to pull your arm again, ❝ l-let me go, ❞
❝ p-please don't leave. ! i'd do anything to g-get you back, ❞ he then slowly crouched down as he finally kneeled down. his grasp onto your hand a little loose yet he leaned his forehead near your hand,
you sighed as you sniffed and with your free hand you wiped your tears. wincing when you looked down to see him so vulnerable compared to his composure earlier when he was too strong and aggressive.
you knew deep inside that all he ever wanted was you to belong to him only, for you were destined for each other. you understand that he just happen to be short-tempered as well. but now, you knew you got to deal with that and love him still because in every flaw he has, is what making paul - himself.
you then slowly crouched down to his level and cupped his face with your hand as you wiped his tears and kissed his forehead. only being engulfed with a huge hug as his strong arms wrapped around your waist, burying his head deeper on the crook of your neck.
your arms then found its way to his neck, as your lips neared his ears - whispering; ❝ i love you too much, even the moon goddess couldn't explain it herself. and no matter how many guys are out there - i'm still going to be loyal to you because you, are supposed to be with me. and vice versa, ❞
he smiled as he then picked you up in ease, earning a shriek from you only being stopped when he leaned in and his lips found yours. capturing in a perfect and passionate kiss, as you held the back of his head close to go deeper.
but not too long until both of you parted and was catching up with your breath, as he carefully put you down onto the soft mattress of the bed. slowly assisting you until he then crawled next to you - grabbing your waist in the process as you cheekily smiled at him.
❝ cute. ❞ he said as he pecked your cheek, followed, by your nose and forehead. then slowly his hands lifted to cup your cheeks. his warmth sending goosebumps all over your body, and in the process of him looking at your lips and softly biting his own -
shiver ran across your spine, ❝ i love you, too much, neveen. ❞
he then leaned in and gave a long kiss on your lips as he smirked to himself. slowly scooping you closer to his chest afterwards - followed by yet another kiss on your forehead for he cannot stop himself from doing so.
' i love her too much, please don't take her away from me. ' he wished.
