Define popular.
1: of, relating to, or coming from the whole body of people. 2 : enjoyed or approved by many people.
Don't worry, this isn't a grammer lesson, Just a way to show the difference between Webster's Dictionary's definition for popular and one of our main character's definition for the word.
Katherine, or Kat as her 'friends' call her, has a comlpetely different definition for 'popular'. She thinks that being popular means having people fear you. That people are your friends because they fear you. A fear so fierce that they would bend to your every will.
Kat was this kind of popular. She would snap her fingers and someone would bring her lunch. A clap of her hands and someone has the homework they did for her. A flick of her wrist and the students in the hallway would part for her like the Red Sea.
Kat was, in someways, a bully. She never directly threatened her peers, She just.... blackmailed them.
She loved the feeling of having everyone's attention focused soley on her.That's part of the reason she joined the cheer squad. And if she didn't have everyone's attention, she would make sure you never failed to pay attention again.
Now enters Jay. He's your typical moody bad boy. Except for the fact that he loved playing football. He's the new guy in town and the school needs a quarterback. Convenient? Totally.
But what happens when these two meet? What kind of story do these two people have? Will it be love at first sight? Ha! You wish. Will it be a diasater? Possibly. Or will it be a story filled with ups and downs? That's more like it.
