Kam's POV
I wake up and it is Friday morning. I have school today. I majorly dread everyday of school. I am 16 now and a sophomore in high school. I go to that "hell hole" every morning at 7:30. Which means I have to wake up at 5:45 just to give myself enough time to get ready and be there in enough time.
I got up and walked down stairs to make some vanilla roast coffee. I went upstairs and took a nice and relaxing shower. I was singing in the shower when I heard Kyle yelling outside of my bathroom door.
"Shut up, you sound like a dying cat!" he yells. I laugh. He always messes around with me. Lately, we have been getting closer because our parents had been drifting apart. Which is a good thing and a bad thing.
I finish my shower and get dressed into some high-rise shorts and a white tee. I want to keep my outfit simple because I am going to change for the student section tonight at the football game. The theme is breakfast club, and I am super excited.
I quickly apply some light make-up and put my hair in a French braid. I go down stairs and fix my cup of coffee. Some cream, some sweetener, and a bit of whip cream and it's complete. I take a sip and my senses are satisfied. I grab my bag and phone and I go to my brother's car.
"You ready?" Kyle asks me. I put on my sunglasses and nod, regretfully. I'm never ready for school. I hate it so much.
I look out the window at my dad's house. My parents aren't divorced yet but they already moved out of each other's house. My mom kept the one next to the Grier's and my dad got a new one.
It takes thirty minutes to get to school from my dad's. Let me tell you, it isn't fun when your 18 year-old brother drives you. He is a good driver, but he is so fast and it makes me anxious.
We pulled up to the school and I hop out, receiving whistles from some nasty seniors. My brother parks in the student parking lot which is swarming with these nasty seniors. I shake my head and see my brother give them a "you-better-keep-your-eyes-and-hands-off-or-I-will-kick-your-ass" look to the group of guys. I laugh under my breath and head to my locker.
I get to my locker and open it. I take a deep breath and grab my science book and laptop. I have 10 minutes until class starts because my brother got here early. I decide to go see Hayes.
"Hey," I say as I approach Hayes. He turns around and smiles. He is wearing a Davidson Day football jersey with cargo shorts.
"You look beautiful today," he says. Hayes smiles at me and my heart melts. He still makes me get butterflies.
"Thanks," I say. "So the game tonight?"
"Yeah, I'm excited. You are coming right?"
"Wouldn't miss it!"
"Good, we should hang out afterward," suggests Hayes. I feel a weight on my shoulders.
"Oh, I wish I could but I am going to Emma's house tonight after the game. We are going to watch 23 Jump Street," I say. Emma is my senior friend. We always hang out now. We met last year.
"Haha, cool."
"Yeah, how about this weekend? I am at my mom's house."
His face turns red. "Ugh, babe. I want to but I have a meet and greet at a convention center in Taylor's hometown in Indiana," says Hayes. He was talking about Taylor Caniff. I nod my head, in understanding then I think of a great idea.
"Okay, so, I know this is crazy but I know that your dad and Yoshi and you know everyone else on your managing team are suuuupperrr nice! Right?" I ask.
"Yes?"
"Well, Emma has this thing for Taylor now. Remember when all the guys came to your house and Emma and Taylor like, uh, hung out and stuff?"
"Yes?"
"Well, I was thinking that they could get us tickets and rooms so we could come to the meet and greet with you and Nash. Sooo, like, Emma and Taylor could hook up," I say to him with begging eyes.
"I'll talk to everyone and see what I can do. No promises! Especially how late notice this is," Hayes says. I look into his blue eyes and smile. They make me feel so warm and safe.
"Alright, I'm going to go to class," I say.
"Me too. Have a good day. I will see you around but definitely tonight!" Hayes hugs me quickly and we both part and head to our first class.
This was going to be a long day.
After school...
Kyle met me at his car and drove me home to our mom's house. I look at the Grier's house and turn to Kyle.
"Do you miss Nash?" I ask him. Nash Grier and Kyle were best friends for a long, long time. Nash didn't go to high school anymore because he moved in with Cameron Dallas. He was always busy with business and never was home anymore.
"Yeah. I never thought he would be this big and have to be so busy all the time. It sucks." He pulls into my mom's driveway. I got out and went straight to my room to get ready.
I find my pink suspenders and black nerd glasses. I get my black long socks and black converse and throw them on. I go to the bathroom and touch up my make up. I take my hair out of the messy braid, shake it out, and put it into to two pigtails on each side of my head. I slide on my nerd glasses. Now I just need help putting on my suspenders.
I walk downstairs to the kitchen with my suspenders in hand and grab a water and some Cheez-Its. I sit at the table and check my phone. I laugh because Nash posted a picture of him, Hayes, and Will all wearing their tiny blue football uniforms from when they were little. The caption said,"#fbf Good luck tonight, Hayes!"
I hear someone walk behind me. I turn around and see that it is my mom. She jumps up, looking very scared, and I laugh at her reaction.
"Wow! Oh my! Haha! You scared me! I thought someone different was in my house. But you look really cute. What is the theme tonight? Is it nerds?" asks my mom. I can see the amount of sleep she got by looking in her eyes and she didn't get any.
"Haha, yeah! It's Breakfast Club," I say.
"Oh, that's nice. Do you have a ride?" Asks my mom. I can drive. I just don't have a car and Kyle rarely let's me use his.
"Emma is going to pick me up soon and either way Kyle is going to the game," I say to my mom. I look over her shoulder. "And speaking of Kyle," I say.
I look at Kyle and he is wearing a giant banana suit. I start laughing so hard. This moment is priceless.
"What's so funny?" he asks.
My mom joins in laughing with me. "You are crazy!" she says.
"Take a picture of us! I need to post this like instantly! But first put on my suspenders!" I command my mom.
She puts on my suspenders and grabs my phone. Kyle picks me up and holds me in his arms. We both make funny faces. The door bell rings.
"Oh! That's Emma! I got to go! See ya!"
"Do you have money?" my mom asks. I nod while shoving a fistful of Cheez-its in my face. I grab my water, phone, and money and hustle over to the door.
I open it and see Emma's bright smile. She is wearing a softball uniform and blonde hair that is stick straight flowing out of her hat. Her blue eyes pop in the red and grey uniform. Her eyes light up when she sees me.
"Are you ready? Let's go!" she says grabbing my hand and running to the car with me.
We get in the car, we roll down the windows, she plugs in her phone and blasts out Hate Bein' Sober(Doctom's Festival Trap Remix) by Chief Keef. We go absolutely nuts.
Tonight is going to be perfect.
