I'm awoken by bella whispering to me. "How can you sleep at a time like this sophie?" i simply shrug my shoulders and she sighs. Then i get out of the car and head inside. As i open the door i'm greeted by Carlisle hugging me and whispering. "It's going to be okay sophie." i smile and hug him back. Then i notice laurent is here. "What's he doing here?" i ask Carlisle. However edward butts in and says. "Hes tracking us." laurent sighs and says to edward. "I was afraid of that." carlisle then questions laurent. "What will he do?" laurent answers. "I'm sorry. I was afraid, when your boy there defended them, that it would set him off." "can you stop him?" laurent shakes his head. "Nothing stops james when he gets started." i sigh at his answer and this causes laurent to look at me and say. "I'm afraid he's especially interested in you my dear. Before james took off he told me he knew you from somewhere.. A hospital i think is where he said." i gasp in shock. "The hospital." i mumble to myself. Carlisle squeezes my hand and pulls me closer to him. 'We will stop him." emmet assures laurent and everyone else. "You can't bring him down. I've never seen anything like him in my three hundred years. He's absolutely lethal. That's why i joined his coven." laurent then asks carlisle a question that angers edward. "Are you sure it's worth it." Edward roars in anger and laurent flinches back. "I'm afraid your going to have to make a choice." carlisle calmly states. Laurent clearly understanding carlisle's words and replies. "I'm intrigued by the life you've created here. But i won't get in the middle of this. I bear none of you enmity, but i won't go up against james. I think i will head north." He hesitates then says. "Don't underestimate james, he's got a brilliant mind and unparalleled senses. He's every bit as comfortable in the human world as you seem to be, and he won't come at you head on. I'm sorry for what's been unleashed here. Truly sorry." he then leaves when carlisle says. " go in peace." then carlisle asks Edward. "How close?" Edward answers him. "About three miles out past the river; he's circling around to meet up with the female." "what's the plan?" "we will lead them off,then jasper and alice will run both of them up south." " and then?" "as soon as they both are clear, we hunt him." Edward turns to rosalie and says. "Get them upstairs and trade cloths with them." to which rosalie replies venom lacing her every word. "Why should i? What is bella to me? Except a menace, a danger you've chosen to inflict on us all." Bella flinches at roses cold words. I look to rose pleading with my eyes. "Rose please." i say in a small voice. She sighs and nods her head. Then takes bella and i upstairs. Once we all switch cloths we all head downstairs with rose wearing my jeans and bella's top. Then the planning starts.
