Our next stop is to one of my dream cities. Manhattan. This is so exciting. I'm so excited while holding Luke's hand I was shaking so badly. Just going to be able to travel around the world with my new five best friends, four best friends, and my boyfriend, is going to be so much fun. I guess they're used to traveling to these kinds if they're not as excited as I am.
Our flight leaves in less than a half an hour. We're standing at the gates of the airport about to board the plane. I look at Luke like he just gave me the best gift of all time. "Can I just say how happy I am right now?" I say smiling from ear to ear.
"Hey, you deserve this." he says as we hug before we step onto the plane. This is it. I'm making my dreams happen. With my boyfriend and nine best friends. A few hour flight to freaking Manhattan. Its like a dream come true. I feel like a kid about to go to Disney Land. It feels like my fairy god mother made my wish come true.
When we take off, we all fall right asleep once we hit the chairs. It was a little difficult for me to fall asleep. Mainly because I'm filled with so much excitement. Sold out concerts. Touring with my best friends and boyfriend. Going to big name cities. Its all happening. This is what I've been wanting since I first got into music.
After a while I just walked around the plane. Finding small rooms I didn't know would fit on a plane like this. Look through windows. Eat something. Snuggle a bit with Luke. So, this is my life for now on. Airplane rides to big cities to perform. Being able to eat at expensive places. This is how it is for now.
*******An hour later*******
"Lads, wake up. We're about to land." Paul says. Well, that was quicker than I expected.
"Did you ever fall asleep?" Luke asks me sitting up.
"No, I was too excited." I say.
I can't believe we're in freaking Manhattan. This is so amazing I just can't believe it. Its like one moment I was a peasant living in a village. Now I'm like a princess living in a castle.
**at the hotel**
When we arrived a ton of fans crowded the parking lot of the hotel. You would think living in Manhattan they would be used to seeing a ton of celebrities. Nope, they acted like it was their first time seeing a celebrity.
"Oh my gosh! Look at the view!" I say with too much exaggeration.
"Yep, and its even better with the fans out there." Luke says walking up behind me and holding me by my waist. I turn my head over my shoulder and look him in the eyes with a smile. He then places a small kiss on my lips.
"Thank you." I whisper.
"For what?"
"Everything. You made my dreams come true of being a singer. Being able to travel with you. Heck for taking the place as my boyfriend. And for distracting me from everything. I don't kno where i would be without you. I don't know if I would even be alive without you. You've made my life amazing just being here during everything." I explain.
"Well, you can thank me later. Let's go down to Times Square shall we." Luke says as we leave. Oh my gosh. Everything its all coming true. Being in Times Square, Being Manhattan. When we go to Paris or Rome I'm going to be super excited. Probably even more excited than I am right now.
When we arrived to Times Square it seemed so unreal. Mechnical billiboards, just as I imagined it. Stores every where. Starbucks near Dunkin Donuts. The Today Show studio. Its all right in front of me.
"So, what do you want to do while we here first?" I ask Luke.
"I think there's an M&M World down the road. Wanna go there?" He explains as I nod in agreement.
We tried covering our faces with our hoodies to get to the store. Then we started getting mobbed by fans. "Oh my god! Its Luke Hemmings and Claire Simins!" a fan yelled as we started to run to the store we tried to get to. So, this what we get for being famous. Yup this is going to be the casual life for now on.
"What do we do now?" I ask when we get into the store.
"I don't know." We find a couple of M&M costumes and payed for them and put them on before leaving the store. Luckily the group of girls left us alone when we started leaving. They didn't even know it was us when we left.
Since if we took off the costumes we would get mobbed, we decided to just head back to the hotel. Only to find out that all the guys were asleep. They're probably worn out right now.
"I think there's a pool here. Do you want to go down there?" I ask.
"Yeah, let's go get our swimsuits on." he says. I'm so glad I brought my swimsuit.
When we got to the pool, it was crowded. So we decided to go back to the hotel room before anyone in the pool saw us.
"So, now what do you want to do?" I ask Luke.
"How about some room service because I'm starving?" Luke says.
"Sounds nice." I agree.
"Alright I'll order it while you go get your pajamas on. We don't want to be super tired tomorrow." Luke says poking my nose. Some sleep sounds. nice. Or even just cuddling while wearing pajamas. "It should be up here in the next twenty mimutes." Luke tells me after I walk out of the bathroom with my pajamas on.
Today, felt long. Mainly because we didn't know what to do plus the hour long flight. It all felt time consuming. Almost like it was all part of my schedule to not know what to do all day.
After Luke changed into some sweats and a tank top, he laid down on the bed with me. Maybe this is how my life was meant to be. Not completely messed up. Not completely obscured. Not completely horrible yet not completely perfect. Its right at the edge of perfect and normal.
Finally after what felt like an hour the room service finally arrived. Well, just what I've been needing for a while now. A large pepperoni pizza and soda. Best dinner I could ever have.
"Did you like read my mind to know what I wanted?" I ask Luke laying my head on his shoulders.
"Nah, I've known you long enough to know what you want." Luke explains. I guess I should've known that.
After eating almost the entire pizza and drinking all the soda, my phone rings. Its my brother. God knows how long its been since I've seen or talked to him.
"Hey stranger." I say smiling as I lay into Luke's arms.
"Hey, since when did you become famous?" Josh asks.
"Who's that?" Luke asks me.
"Its my brother, Josh." I tell Luke.
"Tell him I said hi."
"Luke says hi. Anyway its a really funny story actually. You would probably laugh your butt off."
"I bet. So, when did you two become a thing now? I thought you were with Brandon."
"Its a long story. If you talk to either mom or dad they would tell you. But, Luke and I have been dating for about a month and two days now." I explain.
"Well, give Luke the phone." Josh demands as I just put my phone on speaker phone.
"Hello."
"Hey, its Josh. Listen Claire is now my only sister after Monica died. You break Claire's heart, I'll break your face."
"I promise, I won't be breaking Claire's heart at all." Luke says holding my hand and looking at me.
After everything that's been going on and Luke just being here, I completely forgot about Monica dying. I miss her like crazy and wish the times she was around, I could just wish for them back. She chose die. But she could've lived if she understood everything. She was so adorable and the best little sister anyone in the world could have. She wasn't just a sister to me, she was my best friend. I braided her hair every single day. As well she did to mine. We even shared outfits.
"Well, anyways, where are you guys at now?" Josh asks.
"Manhattan." I explain.
"Wow, that's a big city."
"Yeah, its bigger than Portland." I say.
"Well, I have to go I'll talk to you sooner. I promise."
"Alright miss you bye." I say hanging up the phone.
"Now, after that call, why don't we get some sleep." Luke says in a soft voice, tickling me and kissing my neck.
"Stop tickling me." I laugh.
"Oh come on. You know I love your laugh." Luke says tickling me even more.
"But I hate my laugh." I keep laughing.
"Come on little baby you need some sleep." Luke says in a voice he would use talking to babies.
"Well, stop tickling me." I demand laughing.
"Okay," Luke says as he stops ti kling me. He puts his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. "I love you."
"I love you too." I whisper back.
