Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, I was very sick, still am. I tried going to my laptop but I end up sleeping. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter even though it might suck!! Sorry, I guess I'm just really sick :( Enjoy :) Peace, Love, Legolas!! ERMAHGERD!!

Alvena was wrapped in a blanket of darkness, a dark air filled with nothing but curiosity and fear. All she wanted at the moment was to be back in her hole in the Shire along with Bilbo having a cup of tea and maybe a few lemon breads. "You belong to me." the voice hissed and Alvena tried her best to open her eyes or at least block the voice that was now slowly and most painfully entering her mind.

It cackled a laugh as if it could see her but in reality she couldn't even see herself or where she was, that's if she was in some place and not just the darkness of her mind. "There is no escape my dear Princess... The fire shall be put out or shall grow out of control. It's up to you to make the decision my sweet." the hideous voice hissed that it made tingles go down her spine.

Suddenly as Alvena felt she was nowhere near waking up the light filled the room but she automatically wished it never did because it was no ordinary light. The light was red and it filled every inch of the room as if the walls, floor and ceiling were on fire. The eye of Sauron was the light and it filled every fiber of Alvena with fear and constant agony. Alvena screamed but it seemed as if the only person to hear her scream was Sauron and herself.

"YOU ARE MINE! You shall rule by me!! You shall go out of control!! Let the fire consume you!!"

Alvena tried covering her ears but all she could hear was the echo of his words 'you are mine... let the fire consume you' it kept repeating and repeating inside her head as she fell to her knees thinking she might go insane. "Stop!!" Alvena screamed but Sauron's voice only seemed to grow louder and louder. Tears were streaming down her face as she shouted the only person who is on her mind at the moment

"Legolas!!"

The fire in the room disappeared as if it never happened, the eye shrank until it was nothing and his voice faded like he was gone forever, she wished. The floor began to look like water like she was standing on top of water. She looked up and only saw the beautiful blue sky with clouds and the wind was blowing towards her and as she looked in front of her, she saw her mother.

Her beautiful red hair sprayed all over her shoulders as her light blue gown swayed against the wind. "Fight it Alvena." her beautiful strong voice filled the air. "Don't let him get to you, you are stronger than you think you really are." Alvena pushed herself off the watery ground and was about to close the space between her and her mother but as she was half way there she stopped as the air in her lungs felt like they were being sucked out. She gasped for air and as she did her eyes opened to the real world to see Legolas' horse standing above her.

"Good horse." Alvena croaked as she petted the horse. She pulled her aching body onto the horse as she started galloping away from the river. "I hope you know the way to Helms deep." she said as she leaned on the horse, she might be an elf but her energy was drained, physically and emotionally. Seeing the eye was terrifying for her and seeing her mother was overwhelming. As she arrived at the top of the hill she then saw a sight she wished she could just kill on her own. Thousands and thousands of Uruk-hais marching towards the direction she was going and it could only mean one thing.

War.

Her eyes widen like saucers as she imagined Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas being slain. She quickly sat up straight in her horse and started galloping Hoping she could get there before the Uruk-hais do.

Before she could even reach the Helms deep she knew then that going there wouldn't make a difference. She knew she had to get help from the elves. Rivendell but she instantly knew that the travel from where she was to Rivendell was too far away, but somehow she had to do something. She quickly arrived at Helms deep not planning to stay too long. As she entered she could hear whispers and murmurs around her until she heard a gruff voice

"Where is she? Where is she? I'm gonna-- Lass! Bless my beard! You are only lucky Elf!" Gimli said as he smiled to Alvena but her smile quickly faded until she said sternly at Gimli. "Gimli, deliver a message to King Theoden. Tell him 10,000 Uruk-hais are heading this way and shall arrive at night fall." This made the people around her gasp and scream a bit. Gimli's shocked face grimaced but then asked "Why don't you deliver it yourself?"

Alvena then gave him a sad look and said "I can't stay I have to seek help!"

"But Lass! You can't!! You have to wear your cloak." Gimli argued.

The thought of Sauron invading her dreams was terrifying but she could not spend too much longer. "I'm sorry Gimli... Tell that to Aragorn and Legolas, especially Legolas." Alvena said as she turned her horse around and started galloping from the fortress that might of kept her safe but what's safe when the ones around you were suffering and dying. "Alvena!" she heard Gimli shout as she left the gates.

"I'm sorry." she whispered to herself.

***

Hours have passed and the sun was about to set. That's when Alvena finally felt the weariness of her body and mind. Her eyelids felt like stones since they were about to close and before she could see what was going around her or where she was. She suddenly closed her eyes and fell off the horse and onto the hard ground.

'You're MINE!!' the voice came back. Alvena felt dread course through her body, she didn't want this to happen again but she had it coming when she didn't agree to wear her cloak. The eye of Sauron appeared once again in Alvena's mind making her cower back but the more she tried to, no matter where she hid or where she ran to the eye would always follow her.

'YOU'RE MINE!!' it snarled making every inch of Alvena's body burn like it was on fire. She tried screaming but no sound came out of her mouth. Suddenly Alvena felt something cold touch her forehead like a wet cloth and a voice whispered "Come back to me Vena." After Alvena heard the softness and tenderness of the voice her eyes opened back to reality. She saw Haldir cradling her to his chest and he held a wet cloth to her head. Haldir smiled and said "How are you feeling Princess?" Alvena's eyes drifted around them and saw a few other elves with armor and cloaks draped around them.

"Where am I?" Alvena's voice croaked. "We are nearing Helms deep. We found you on the ground unconscious." he said as he still cradled her like she was someone dear to him. "Thanks." was all she could say.

"What are you doing here?" Alvena asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Elrond has sent us to make an alliance once again with men. We shall fight.... and die together." Haldir said proudly. Alvena smiled and put her hand on his cheek and said "No one shall die, my dear friend." This made Haldir smile brightly.

After they gave water and bread to Alvena they started making their way to Helms deep. Haldir draped his crimson red cloak around Alvena as they marched side by side for some reason, Legolas' horse was gone and nowhere to be seen. Night fell and they were near Helms deep and luckily they made it before the Uruk-hais did. Alvena and Haldir talked briefly about each other. Alvena learned that Haldir had two brother, Orophin and Rumil who were not on their journey but was back in Lothlorien protecting the people.

Haldir then talked about the funny and wonderful moments he had in the Red Kingdom and Alvena loved hearing about his stories. Until they reached Helms deep, all Alvena and Haldir's conversation was filled with nothing but happiness and laughter, it was a simple distraction to keep them from thinking what they were about to face. "Blow the horn." Haldir ordered, the horn blew into the cold quiet night signalling the people that there was help and there was hope.

As they marched inside Alvena still wore Haldir's red cloak and was marching beside him with a grin on her face as she saw the shocked faces of the Rohan warriors. "How is this possible?" King Theoden whispered more likely to himself. "He brings word from Elrond of Rivendell." Alvena spoke as she crossed her arms. "An alliance once existed between elves and men, long ago we fought and died together." Haldir began when Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas appeared and Haldir finished. "We come to honor that allegiance."

"Alvena?" Legolas and Aragorn spoke, looking shock as they saw her. "Mae Govannen Haldir... You are most welcome." Aragorn said as he pulled Haldir into an unexpected hug which made Alvena chuckle at Haldir's uncomfortable look. She had also learned that Haldir was a very serious and stiff man and often had teased him about it along the way. Aragorn then turned to Alvena and pulled her into a hug and she gladly returned the hug.

Legolas did the greeting thing he did with elves and turned his attention to Alvena. Alvena was breathless and she stared once more into his blue eyes. Without warning Legolas pulled Alvena into a kiss shocking everyone around them and Alvena returned the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Everyone around them looked away in a very awkward situation. Once they pulled away Haldir cleared his throat and said proudly "We are proud to fight alongside men once more."

Once the greetings was done, everyone was ordered around on where to stand and position themselves. Legolas then went with Alvena to get her a new armor and Legolas gave back her ruby necklace and her dark blue cloak. Once Legolas put the cloak around her shoulders she felt as if a whole world was lifted off of her shoulders. "I see you have grown close with Haldir." Legolas said as he avoided eye contact. "Yeah but we are only friends.... are you jealous?" Alvena teased as she looked at Legolas who was blushing like madness.

Legolas ignored her question and fiddled with his cloak trying to seem he was busy. Alvena grinned and went up to him and kissed him on the lips. Legolas kissed back but with more passion and as they pulled away Alvena said "Nothing can get in between you and me... we have plans together. No one can replace you." she said once more as she closed the gap again between them.
