Am I even allowed
To take a leap of faith?
When i have overused this luxury,
As a peice of hopeless bait;
Hoping a fish, granting my wish,
Will finally latch onto it.
Hoping this time none would resist,
With neglegence, with pity, with grit.
But i feel an unamounted guilt,
Because 'misuse' has replaced 'overuse'.
Even though i get a hold on few,
I let them leave, each giving me a different ruse.
Nobody willing enough to stay
In my tank to let me trust them,
But everyone is eager enough
To tear a peice of my hem.
But this! This is madness!
When I 'abuse' it outright.
With each leap, with each fall, with each broken part,
I feel myself slipping out of mind, out of sight.
And my tries never stop,
Ever the optimist, seeing the silver lining;
But they fatigued, far-off, faithless,
Only a bottomless leap lingering.
