Hermione led Draco through the room to the wide selection of breakfast foods. The couple gathered what they wanted and sat down to eat. "Your cousins are quite nasty." Draco commented. Hermione led out a small laugh, "You're telling me, I grew up with those insane girls, I definitely understand how nasty they are." Draco looked at Hermione sympathetically. She sensed the depth of his look and momentarily thought she shouldn't have made it sound so bad. The couple continued to gather their breakfast and then went to sit with Hermione's parents. Richard and Linda smiled at their daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law. They understood how difficult Hermione's childhood with her cousins had been but were overjoyed when she finally agreed to attend the gathering. "Hello Mom & Dad. How did you sleep," Hermione asked. Linda smiled again before replying, "Brilliantly, and you?" The young couple looked at each other before Draco said, "Well, we slept well but were sadly greeted by your devilish nieces," there was a pause and Draco added a very polite, "no offense," that caused Hermione's parents to giggle slightly. "No offense taken, dear," Linda said while smiling at the young man that she thought was perfect for her only daughter. After a rather uneventful breakfast Draco and Hermione cleared their plates and went to leave for the "beach day." Draco was concerned for Hermione's well being as he knew how difficult is must be for her bullying cousins to be hassling her; even if he did know that he made Hermione happy and they were much more successful than the taunters. He sighed and opened the door to Hermione's door to let her into the car before crossing to the driver's side. As much as he wanted to sweep her off to their home and keep her away from the world, this was her family reunion so he needed to preserve, for the both of them. He loves Hermione, but Merlin help him her cousins are horrid.
