~AFTER COLLEGE~
"I must say, it was a beautiful day" I said to Greene, who has planned to stay home for the next few days.
"Tell me everything" she said, pulling me towards the couch.
*She's way too excited*
"I'll tell you, have some paitence and I really want a pizza now" I pleaded her, and my stomach was grumbling so loud.
"I'll order, I want one too" she said and got busy with her phone.
Joe was walking to my room. Why?
I must know.
I follow him.
He had a huge box in his hand, I'm sure it was for Greene. But I must know what that was. He has never bought something like that before.
Such a huge box?
"Joe!" I shout.
"Listen! Tell me everything..else!" And then I got stuck, because what would I tell next? I didn't know!
"Else?" He asked.
Urgh how does he know my weaknesses?
"Else"
"Else, I'll tell mom" I said stumbling.
"Go ahead" he says with a smirk on his face.
"Let that be! What's in the box?" I ask him trounced.
"Better ask like that".
Attitude freak.
"Whatever"
"Just tell what's in" I asked him.
"Okay, wait"
"You can tell anyone.. but not Greene"
"Okay?" He asks it so well, that I can't deny.
"Okay". I said.
"So listen".
"I've basically planned a surprise for Greene".
"Just make sure she gets dressed up like a princess". He says like a lover boy.
"What's all this? Like why?" I asked him.
I was so confused.
"How can you forget?" He asked suprisingly.
It was none of their birthdays!
"Whats special today?" I ask him.
"It's our 4th year for today" he said and started to blush.
Is Joe serious about this!
4th year.
Wow
And celebration, I really don't want to spoil his good mood. He's some how being nice to me.
And I know why!
Because, he needs to hide this from Greene.
Ofcourse, he'll be sweet for today.
"Oh! Congratulations Joe!".
"Thank you".
"And don't you dare tell her anything please".
"We'll begin at 4:00"
"And we must end by 7:00"
"After 7:00, I've got some more plans with Greene" he explained.
Love is everywhere except in my life.
"So cute Joe"
"Don't worry everything will be fine"
"I'll manage" I said.
"But you didn't tell, what's in the box!" I wanted to know.
"Let that be a surprise for you too". He laughs.
Creep.
I was used to this. Every year. And I don't know how this went out of my mind.
And no wonder why Greene was
excited since morning. Though she didn't know anything, she was expecting something.
And hence, I realised why Joe wanted to take her today morning.
I had to understand.
I'm so dumb. Oh wait, I was excited too. (About the beach)
"You know what! I love you Rachel. Help me out for today, I won't trouble you".
Sure.
"I love you too". I said.
It was 2:40 now.
I have so less time!
I started walking down and was thinking about how to hide Greene from all of this.
I don't have any problem with mom and dad, because they'll be back home only after Joe and Greene come back, after their plans.
Mom and dad will be very late. That wasn't a problem but, what about Greene?
What shall I do?
And she must be ready too.
Tough task Joe.
What if chase can help?
But how!
I can call him!
I dial his number.
*Rings*
He answered!
Phew
Chase: hey yellow! What's up?
Me: listen, I have a problem..
Chase: Yellow and in problems?
Me: it's serious Chase.
Chase: Tell dollface, how can I help you?
Me: Joe and Greene are celebrating they're 4th year today and there is a surprise for Greene, but she's home and Joe asked me to make sure that she dresses like a princess!
Chase: Are they getting married today?
Me: (chuckles) nope. This guy.
Chase: Wierd. Carry on.
Me: yeah and Greene is in our home and I promised Joe that I will take care. And he is busy decorating the house.
Chase: it's so simple yellow!
Me: What? How do you find it simple. I'm in a mess now.
Chase: Calm down first.
Just take Greene to a parlour and tell the beauticians to handle everything. Just pay them, so she'll be ready to the night and she won't be home too.
Me: You know what?
Chase: What?
Me: You're a genius. I love you so much. Thank you.
Chase: Aww, thanks. I love you too! Bye. Carry on.
Me: Bye.
Hung up.
He's a great man for today, I consider him to be great.
First I must take this Greene and leave her in the damn parlour.
"Greene" I shout at her.
And she's collecting the pizza from the delivery boy.
Fuck the pizza. Oh no, im hungry.
It was 3:00 now.
Okay we can eat the pizza and go.
"RACHEL!! the pizza is home, come fast" she said.
"Coming!" I shout back.
~after the pizza session~
"Greene, I guess you must get your eyebrows done, it's too hairy" I said.
"I know, but I have no time" she said.
"I must manicure myself. Let's go, we'll be back in an hour" I made it sound good for her.
"Okay, common then"
"I'll get my car keys"
"Just wait a minute"
"Okay"
She walked out.
I flick my car keys and run out.
~in the parlour~
"Hello ma'am, how can I help you?" Jenny asks me.
I knew her, she is the only ray of hope to help me out of this.
I pull her to the other side and explained everything. She promised that she'll take care about everything.
"I'll pay the bill once I come to pick her up"
"Just divert her and tell all the amazing plans you have".
"She'll surely make use of them and wait, she must wear a long pink gown. Mark them dark PINK GOWN. And make sure she looks the best"
"Okay, calm down Rachel, I'll take care.
She'll be ready by 4:00"
"Okay?". She said.
"Thanks Jenny"
"I'll never forget this favour"
"Bye"
I said and escaped from there.
I'm helping Joe a bit too much now.
But I can't take advantage of this day.
~back Home~
"Where is Greene?" Joe asks me.
I explained him.
"You're brilliant Rachel".
"Aw thanks" I'm not, Chase is.
Thank goodness I met him.
"Is everything ready at home?" I ask
"Oh yeah".
"Just clean the kitchen"
"No! I'm not doing anything else"
"Sorry"
"Please Rachel"
"I did the entire house, you're room too".
"My room?"
"What?" What's wrong with him? How did he do my room. This is a miracle or what?
"Yes, because your room is large and me and my friends are gonna have a booze party tonight".
Done. No more. And he thinks that, the party is gonna happen. Bad thought.
I can kill him.
"I'm not gonna do anything else"
"Listen, nothing is happening in my room"
"If you wanna do anything, go to a pub or do it in your room"
"Nothing in my room!"
"Clear?"
I almost shout at him.
"And go clean the kitchen for yourself".
And for the first time ever, he listens to me.
He cleaned it up within 10 minutes and shifted all the items to his room from my room.
"Listen joe! I'm going to the parlour to get Greene home, it might take around 15 minutes, make sure everyone are home and everything is ready".
"Okay Greene, just call me before you come".
"RACHEL". He forgot my name now?
"Sorry, Rachel".
"Bye"
I take my car and go to parlour.
I was waiting to see Greene.
She'd look amazing, I'm sure.
~In the parlour~
"Jenny is everything done?"
"Yes yes.. Rachel just calm down! She was initially surprised by everything happening around her and after a few minutes she understood everything. And I told her everything!"
Wtf?
"Everything?"
"No, I mean about the parlour".
"Omg, thank goodness, my heart skipped a beat".
She laughs
"You can take her".
"What's the bill?"
"Here it is"
"Use my card now, I'll just come"
"Enter your PIN!"
I did.
"Greene?"
"Here I am"
She said as I could hear her voice towards my left and she is admiring at herself in that huge mirror.
As I said, everything was in place.
She looked adorable. Such a pretty woman, she was dressed up like a real princess.
Make up was on point.
"Rachel, I didn't expect all this". She looked very excited.
"What's all this?"
"What's happening next?"
"Well, talking about the next plan.. it is to take you home" I said pointing my index finger on her.
"Let's go" she looked irresistible, but couldn't stand up from her seat, because of the heavy gown.
Chuckles.
"I'll help you wait"
"Take me home now".
I held her hand and took her near the car.
"Let's go?"
"Yes"
We drove back home.
