Ever since she was eight, Sarah Baker has tried to make it look like she has it all together. Like she knows what she's doing. She's fooled many, but the one's she hasn't don't dare tell anyone. She works more hours than she sleeps, drinks more than she can afford, and has better letters in her name than she does on her report card. As she tries to float her way through life until the day she turns eighteen, she gets a knock at her decrepit door and an offer that she can't refuse.
