[ Chapter 4 : Guilty ]
Guilt is one of the worst feelings ever. You go around feeling this thing gnawing at you , reminding you how bad you've been , tearing you apart.
Guilty. That's the only word that could describe me at the moment.
Did I cause someones death? Who is she ? His girlfriend ? Wife , maybe?
He's only a person behind a screen. He could be a pervert 75 year old man , for all I know.
That's what they all say.
They all get the total opposite.
One week. One week was the longest I could live with the hideous monster that was eating me away ; AKA guilt.
I pick up my phone and stare hesitantly at his number.
I type away quickly and let my finger hover above the send button.
Undecided was quickly becoming my middle name.
Two seconds later and I hit send.
Me: Hey , for some reason I feel like I've done something terrible.
Me: did something bad happen?
Me: hello...
Me: you there?
Me: oh so this is how you wanna play things? You ain't gonna reply? Fine. I might as well call you.
Xavier : DON'T CALL!!!
Me: what's with the capital letters?!
Xavier : just don't call. It's dangerous.and I can't answer ATM.
Me : then tell me what happened.
Xavier : it's not even any of your business!!
Xavier : why TF are you so weird and clingy??? You do know that we're strangers and that I just texted you by mistake,don't you? Something called "Wrong Number."
Me : clingy? Wtf dude chill clingy who? Plus , it's not everyday a Wrong Number texts you saying they hid the body.
Me : I just need to know what happened.
Me : it'll be good for my conscience. Might ease the guilt.
Xavier : oh so you do know what guilt is.
Xavier : fine I'll tell you. Now isn't a good time though.
Me : later...
Xavier : later.
Don't you know Mr Xavier? A whole lot of stories start with a Wrong Number.
