Preface
First giving all honor, praise, and glory to my heavenly father, and my savior Jesus Christ, who gave me the gift of writing. Without the holy trinity there would be no inspiring to write. These following entries of poetry I would like to dedicate to all those who have been where I've been and felt what I've felt. I would also like to encourage those who feel like they don't have the gumption or guts that it will happen -- listen to what god tells you to do -then leave the circumstances to him.
To the reader:
The poems in this book are what I've written just about everyday life. Its trials and tribulations cause us to sometimes deal with several emotions. My grandmother always told me "if you can't say it - write it!" Therefore I've tried to put down all of what I've felt, seen and experienced through my life. Some of these poems are Holy Spirit inspired! These poems I hope to be as advice as well as encouragement. Take these poems and try to apply them to your own life. You'll find that really you're not alone in what you're going through; and that God can and will see you through all!

MY POEMS
FAVOR
When you think favor is with you,
There are times when it looks not.
Though you think it's the thing to do,
Favor may not be what you sought.
So think what would be right,
Is this what I'll be doing?
Or will it shape to be the favor I want.
But it may not be what you thought.
So take a little time to think;
May it be God's will
That my path is in favor with Him.
TEMPTATION
WHEN THINGS TEMPT YOU
LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO.
SOMETIMES YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT OR WHERE TO GO.
THOUGH YOU TRY TO DECIDE
WHERE OR WHICH IS BEST.
YOU'LL FIND YOURSELVES THINKING,
HEY WHAT IS REALLY TRUE!?
YES, THE WAYS OF LIFE IN THE WORLD
MAY NOT BE SUITABLE TO YOU-
BUT FOLLOW YOUR HEART FIRST,
NOT YOUR MIND; THEN YOU'LL UNDERSTAND
YOUR HEART WILL NEVER DECEIVE YOU
JUST YOUR MIND.
ITS FUNNY
You know its funny when things get crazy
Going to and fro
Its funny!
Sometimes it just makes you stop and think!
Day by day you have to watch-
Those who try to make it ,
Just like a clown doin' what they can
It makes you laugh and think,
Hey it's funny!
SPRINGTIME
As I look around the city,
At the trees, the grass, and the children playing.
I notice that everything is turning pretty.
While birds sing, I try to hear what they're saying
They tell of new births and flowers budding.
Everyone knows that springtime is coming.
It's a time for the trees and the sleeping flowers to awaken;
The long cold winter is finally over.
Look around see what new shapes the earth has taken.
Take a deep breath-
Smell the fresh flavor!
IT'S A FEELING
IT'S A FEELING YOU GET
WHEN AT TIMES YOU TRY TO FORGET,
BUT CIRCUMSTANCES, SITUATIONS WON'T LET YOU!
YOU TRY TO PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE,
ONLY FOR THINGS THAT ARE RELATIVE;
THE THINGS THAT GUIDE YOUR HEART.
BUT THAT FEELING IS A PART OF HIS WILL, FROM THE START.
YOU MAY TRY TO DENY WHAT'S TRUE INSIDE-
THAT MAY BE PART OF A PATH
THAT'S NOT LEADING TOWARDS GOD'S WRATH!
SO LISTEN TO THAT FEELING,
IT MAY NOT BE A FEELING AT ALL
JUST A CALL OR A WHISPER.
ONENESS
Alone, searching, seeking;
Becoming frantic with your inner self.
Can I get to that place-
Where there's a connecting of two?
A binding of two spirits where there is no doubt.
A love that makes two into one;
Like a course set by God,
Who knows His child;
Directions toward some one ,
Who completes that one.
That oneness, that completeness.
Try to imagine a quiet , peaceful place,
Where your oneness can be achieved.
A place where all you do is exhale;
A breath that soothes ones soul.
Ahhhhhh!!!
You know you're in that place
When your spirit is filled with oneness-
Two spirits combined;
Like water mixed with sand.
Oneness can only be achieved,
If there is a one with another one.
PIECES OF LOVE
Love sometimes good, sometimes bad;
It may be the best you ever had.
But to find that true love that everyone wants;
You'll have to look deep into the heart of your own.
Yes, love is sometimes hurting
And it can make you cry,
But to find it , you must first search for God-
He's the love everyone can see and then sigh!
MY BLACK LOVE
BLACK LOVE
WHETHER ITS SAID OR HEART FELT,
YOU NEVER KNOW TILL ITS KEPT.
KEPT IN YOUR MIND, IN YOUR SOUL.
BUT WHAT IS THE ROOT---
DO YOU KNOW LOVE?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT TAKES ?
HAVE YOU EVER FELT MY BLACK LOVE?
WILL IT BE AS SINCERE AS YOU?
MY BLACK LOVE WILL ONLY BE KNOWN,
WHEN THERE'S ANOTHER BLACK LOVE LIKE MINE!
SLEEPING
Are you awake?
Are you awake to what's happening?
Are you sure; how do you know?
Is sleeping just a part,
Or is there another start.
Sleeping
Maybe we're in a state
That requires a peace
While there's so much on our plate,
Trying to decipher or rectify,
The wrongs we've done while in our wakened state.
Sleeping
Somehow the peaceness is what we need ,
That our soul may find something it needs to feed
Nourishment that comes only when your
Sleeping.
IN MY MIND
ITS ONLY IN MY MIND
THAT THERE'S A LOVE THAT FITS
ITS ONLY IN MY MIND.
TRUE YOUR MIND ONLY WONDERS IF
THERE'S A LOVE THAT'S TRULY ONE IN THE SAME.
A LOVE THAT SURPRISES YOU
WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT TO.
LOVE THAT MAKES YOU THINK
WAS THIS ONLY A DREAM OR A FANTASCY?
SOMETIMES YOUR MIND PLAYS TRICKS WITH YOU
JUST TO SEE IF YOU'RE REALLY,REALLY PAYING ATTENTION;
TO WHAT YOUR HEART TELLS YOU.
IT SPEAKS TO WHAT'S IN YOUR INNER SOUL, ITS DESIRE.
YOUR SOUL THEN LONGS FOR THAT COMPLETE LOVE ;
A LOVE THAT GIVES AND TRANSFORMS YOU.
NO, NOT JUST IN YOUR MIND,
BUT IN BOTH SIMUTANEOUSLY-
YOUR HEART AND IN YOUR MIND!
A TOUCH
JUST A TOUCH FROM YOUR TENDER HEART
LONGING FOR ANOTHER START;
A TOUCH OF YOUR LIPS, YOUR HAND, YOUR SOUL.
LIKE A SUBTLE BREEZE THAT PASSES YOUR FACE,
OR LIKE A PETAL THAT BRUSHES AGAINST YOUR HAND OR FINGERTIPS.
BUT JUST A TOUCH WILL MAKE YOU SEEM
LIKE A CHILD SNUGGLING IN HIS MOTHER'S ARMS.
YES, THAT TOUCH CAN MAKE A SIMPLE THING TURN RIGHT.
JUST LIKE A COMFORT ZONE
OR AN EXCLUSIVE TRIP TO HEAVEN.
A TOUCH FROM THAT ONE PERSON,
A TOUCH OF UNQUESTIONABLE PASSION.
PASSION THAT COMES FROM JUST A TOUCH;
JUST SAVORING THE MOMENT OF THAT TOUCH.
BUT A TOUCH CAN FIND YOU SPIRALING
INTO A SEARCH OF UNIQUE COMPACITY;
THAT REQUIRES A SIMPLE TOUCH.
SO TELL ME,
WHERE CAN I FIND THAT TOUCH?
CAN IT BE REAL,
OR IS IT JUST A MEMORY!?
MY DREAMS
MY DREAMS ARE TO SOME IMPOSSIBLE;
IT'S ALSO A VISION OF WHAT IS TO COME.
MY DREAMS CAN BE AS SOME PUT IT
MY GOALS.
SO THEY'RE NOT JUST DREAMS!
THEY ENCOMPASS A WHOLE RANGE OF THINGS,
THAT I WISH FOR,LONG FOR.
WHETHER IT BE ABOUT THE LOVE I HOPE FOR,
OR THE LIFE I HOPE TO LIVE.
THERE ARE TIMES MY DREAMS FEEL LIKE THEY ARE JUST THAT -
DREAMS,
BUT THEY'RE STILL MY DREAMS!
SURE IN MY LIFE THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN BAD EVENTS,
BUT I STILL IMAGINE
OR THINK ABOUT MY DREAMS;
THOSE DREAMS NEVER LEAVE.
LONG AS I HAVE FAITH THEY WILL;
OR JUST KEEP BELIEVING THATSOMEDAY-
MY DREAMS WILL COME!
THERE ARE DREAMS THAT MOST THINK WILL NEVER BE;
DUE TO THE CHOICES, DECISIONS , OR PATH WE'VE TOOK.
SO AGAIN IT FEELS LIKE THEY ARE JUST DREAMS!
ONE THING THOUGH,
WHEN YOU DREAM OF A BETTER LIFE,
OR TRY TO ACHIEVE IT AS A GOAL;
9 TIMES OUT OF 10 THEY'LL BE.
IT IS WHAT USUALLY KEEPS US STRIVING
TO WHAT WE CALL "MY DREAM."
SOME DREAMS ARE LIKE LITTLE VISIONS GOD SENDS,
TO GIVE US THAT RAY OF HOPE;
A RAY OF HOPE GOD SENDS NO MATTER HOW MY LIFE UNFOLDS.
THIS WILL LET ME KNOW THAT MY DREAMS ARE WORTH WAITING FOR;
SO REALLY MY DREAMS ARE NOT DREAMS ANYWAY!
STORMY DAYS
Stormy days come when we least expect it to;
We get angry, confused, frustrated.
We even question the reason of ;
Even I ask what and why is it!
Stormy days often cause us to
Reevaluate our life, our path, our direction;
So why is it that we dread these stormy days?
If we keep looking for answers from others
We'll never get them-not the one we're looking for.
They have just as many stormy days as us!
Our human side tells us to seek
Guidance, advice from other humans:
"Maybe they can help!"
But the end results in even more storms
Then we first began.
Sometimes if and when we do use the advice from others;
We forget to ask the one person
Who has all the answers---God!!
There are some who could help us,
But we must first listen before reacting.
Yes, I will admit we have to be skeptical sometimes;
But if we wait-we may find the answer
Through God, Jesus, or even a person
God uses just so;
He may even whisper, or speak to our heart directly
Leaving no doubt.
Although these stormy days don't last always;
They just come to see if we turn to Him first.
The answer we may be looking for
Just might be there right in front of our face;
So instead of getting "mad at the world,"
Or even angry at ourselves;
Thank the Lord for them!
Stormy days let you know that
There's a sunny day coming right behind it!
WISHFUL THINKING
SOMETIMES WE SET OUR MIND
ON WHAT WE SEE AND WHAT WE WANT,
BUT BECAUSE OF OUR WISHFUL THINKING
WE DON'T SEE OR REALIZE;
THE THINGS THAT MAY NOT MATERIALIZE.
THOUGH WITH OUR CHILDISH WAYS
OF WANTING "THEN AND NOW,"
A TENDACY NOT TO LISTEN
TO THE WHISPER IN OUR HEART, OUR SOUL:
"WAIT-DON'T SETTLE, DON'T GIVE UP!"
FROM THIS IMPATIENCE
OUR MINDS SET IN MOTION A STRING OF URGENCIES OR DETERMINATIONS:
"IF I CAN JUST....."
WISHFUL THINKING.
OF COURSE THAT WISHFUL THINKING
REALLY STOPS US FROM THE ACTUAL,
BUT IT JUST DOESN'T STOPE THE HOPE;
FOR MOMENTARY AND EVEN CONTINUOUS HAPPINESS.
THEN WE GET THE SLAP BACK TO REALITY
OF WHAT WE THEN REALIZE IS
WISHFUL THINKING.
WE WAIT
Why do we wait?
We wait for things that we hope will finally happen.
Why do we wait?
We try to set our hopes on things we think are just a dream.
Why do we wait?
We vision things that make us feel all is not lost.
We hope that someday it will be.
Why do we wait?
We set goals for things to come
Why do we wait?
We wait because we know
There's a better way than what we've chosen.
We wait
We hope
We think
Why do we wait?
Waiting is to mean patience;
Do we have any?
The Lord cultivates in us an element
That is beyond our simple way of life.
Why do we wait?
We wait till we find what is;
We wait
We search
We hope
Why do we wait?
Waiting is the hope for things that are unseen.
Why do we wait?
We wait for the strength that comes through time.
So should we--- wait?
Its almost like a child waiting for a present
That comes from his friends, his parents.
Why then do we wait?
We wait for the coming of that which we hold so dear;
We wait for that something that will make our life worthwhile.
We wait for that complete feeling of peace.
That's why we wait!
JUSTIFIED
THE THINGS WE DO AND SAY
TO OURSELVES SEEMS JUSTIFIED.
ARE THEY?
JUST BECAUSE TO OUR OWN MIND
IT SEEMS THAT WE ARE RIGHT.
ARE WE?
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT WHAT YOU DO AND SAY IS JUSTIFIED?
THROUGH LIFE THERE ARE THINGS THAT TARNISH OUR WAY OF THINKING;
BY HURT, REJECTION, HARMFUL WORDS
THEY ALL MAY COME.
BUT IT IS ONLY THROUGH CHRIST THAT THINGS BECOME JUSTIFIED.
OUR LIVES, OUR ACTIONS, OUR MIND;
ONCE OUR LIVES ARE TOTALLY COMMITTED
TOTALLY CONVINCED!
IT IS THROUGH CHRIST WE AS HUMANS BECOME JUSTIFIED.
TO THOSE WHO FEEL THAT WHAT THEY'VE DONE
CAN BE JUSTIFIED;
FIRST LOOK AT YOUR MOTIVE.
IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE CALLED, MUST DO, OR LED TO DO
TRULY JUSTIFIED?!
WAS THERE VENGENCE, PAYING BACK, OR GETTING EVEN
BEHIND YOUR ACTIONS?
IF SO REMEMBER WHAT IS SAID IN GOD'S WORD:
"VENGENCE IS MINE......
I WILL REPAY......"
BEFORE YOU DO OR SAY SOMETHING YOU FEEL JUSTIFIED BY DOING;
CHECK YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO GOD FIRST.
ASK HIM THROUGH PRAYER;
WHEN HE ANSWERS YOU THEN MAYBE YOU MIGHT BE JUSTIFIED!
BY GRACE
Its by grace that we get
Another chance to get it right.
Its by grace that God
Gives us the opportunity
To live life to what is predestined.
Its by grace that we live to the fullest
No matter what we do!
Whether good or bad
By grace He allows us to see
What is evident through His love.
By word it is said :
"Choose......"
He maps out our life
He gives us His mercy and grace.
He allows us to behold
Truth, love, and compassion.
It is by grace that His unconditional love for us
We see, we touch, we feel
That what is-Grace.
ALL IS NOT LOST
You think to yourself,
Its got to be a better way;
A ray of hope, a shimmering light;
Just that reassurance.
All is not lost.
As long as we keep hoping
Long as we keep striving;
Grabbing at straws that give us that jolt, that uplift.
All is not lost.
We even turn to things that in our gut
We know is not the way you should go.
All is not lost.
We set our hopes, our dreams
We even give ourselves pep talks,
But we still try not to think
All is not lost.
So don't wallow, don't doubt
Just set your sights above,
That's where all of our help comes from.
All is not lost.
So my advice to all
Who feel that there's no way out,
Look to God and know that
All is not lost.
WHO I AM
ITS NOT THE CLOTHES, THE ATTITUDE THAT MAKES ME;
ITS NOT WHAT OTHERS PERCIEVE THAT MAKES ME.
FROM INSIDE THERE ARE THINGS THAT SOMETIMES SURFACE,
BUT THAT'S NOT WHO I AM.
OBSERVING ME FROM AN OUTSIDE VIEW
ASCESSING THE PERSON WHO YOU THINK YOU SEE;
ITS NOT WHAT MAKES ME WHO I AM.
YEH, YOU THINK THAT FROM WORD OF MOUTH,
ENCOUNTERS WHETHER GOOD OR BAD;
ITS NOT WHAT MAKES ME.
IF YOU LOOK, NOT AT THE SURFACE
YOU MIGHT FIND JUST WHO I AM.
THERE MIGHT BE ANGER, JEOLOUSY, DESPITE,
BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT MAKES ME.
THOSE THINGS WERE JUST A PART OF WHAT HAPPENED LONG AGO.
THOSE THINGS WERE JUST A PART OF WHAT THE WORLD BROUGHT TO ME,
BUT ITS NOT WHO I AM.
THE PERSON YOU MAY FIND AT THAT TIME
IS A RESULT OF BETRAYAL, HURT, REJECTION.
THAT MAKES THIS PERSON ACTUALLY LOST
A PERSON SHE/HE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE;
SO ITS NOT THAT WHAT MAKES ME.
WHO I AM IS WHAT GOD PLANTS AND MOLDS
BEFORE ANY OUTSIDE INFLUENCES;
WHICH HAS BEGUN SHAPING THAT PERSON
INTO SOMETHING OTHERS SEE AS ACCEPTABLE.
THAT'S NOT WHO I AM.
UNTIL YOU LOOK, WAIT, SEE THROUGH GOD'S EYES
THEN YOU'LL SEE WHO I AM.
THROUGH GOD'S EYES WHAT MAY NOT BEEN SEEN ON THE OUTSIDE;
IS CULTIVATED, FORMED ON THE INSIDE.
THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME.
GOD THE GREAT "I AM" SIFTS ALL THE BAD STUFF INSIDE;
HE MAKES US INTO A REPLICA OF THE "I AM."
SO BE PATIENT WITH WHAT IS ON THE SURFACE
CAUSE WHO I AM HAS NOT BEGUN TO SHINE.
Anger Within
Anger
It stems from several things
Hurt, pain, rejection, hatred, deceit.
Only a trigger of one can brew
Anger.
This anger within sometimes suppressed
Causes a surfacing; and maybe to the point of bewilderment
Asking why?
Anger
Just one word or action by a person
This anger within becomes a raging monster.
Anger
We try to go through an "anger management class"
Thinking "I can get a hold on it!"
It may help momentarily.
Anger
As soon as someone does one of those things that caused this
BAM--- it comes right back!!
We even try to talk to ourselves in our mind.
Anger
In truth the only way I know to deal with this is God.
The counting, walking away, or even classes
Can only stifle, suppress it
Or make it lie dormant within.
Anger
I've learned that all of this within was only a ploy;
So that the enemy can win or take you to a step lower
Than who and what you are.
Anger
Once you realize that this anger within only retards
The growth that God wants you to get.
Anger
So bare your feelings of this anger within to Him
You'll be glad and feel better you did!
HURTING
Why does it hurt?
Maybe its from the choices we make.
Why must we hurt?
Maybe its God trying to break us, mold us;
To what He knows will be best.
So why so we go thru hurt?
Maybe its just cause we don't want to listen to what's right and good.
Maybe its just cause we're afraid.
Why does it cause us to hurt?
Maybe its God showing what He feels.
When we do things that He knows is wrong;
Things that won't give us peace.
So why is it that we hurt and even cry?
The pain that comes from hurt
Brings anger, frustration, resentment.
Why does it have it hurt so?
From that hurt there's a learning experience from it.
So in the midst of hurting
And even that heartache that comes;
I try to realize and even analyze
That maybe that this hurt just is
What is needed for God to create
The best of what He knows that I can be.
So is this hurt needed?
Yes, if it makes us the best;
Yes, if it makes us surrender
Yes, if when it does we turn to Him
For answers and guidance.
So this hurting really is what is needed to conform us
To His liking.
When I go thru hurt;
I analyze what this hurt came from.
Is it by choice, or is it by lesson.
Whichever it may be
God always will be there to carry and hold
Until we pass through that hurt
My Desire
I desire to reach the top of my dreams.
I desire to see and do everything-
All of its gleams;
But these desires are unfinished.
I desire a perfect love-
Unblemished.
This desire is you-you are my desire.
I wish to hold you near,
You are so dear.
With this desire, my love will give no reason,
To stop in any season.
Though these desires may be too strong,
I only know that they will last long;
So to end these desires would only end love.
Don't take my desires from above.
I desire to see love like I've never seen.
I desire to lie in meadows green,
With the wind gently blowing,
And the sun softly glowing.
The dreams of you I imagine in my mind;
My only desire is to awaken and you I find.
Please don't take these desires for granted.
They've been in my mind as though they've been planted.
Treated these desires with care;
If not you'll leave me bare;
So if my desires are too much,
I'll go without saying a word or such.
But, alas, my desires will never be forgotten.
I desire to touch your inner fantasy,
And be a part of every ecstasy;
I desire to help you in all your strife.
In all your ups and downs
My desire will be there.
There when you feel any type of fear;
And if by chance you need to be free;
My mind will let you be-
But my desires will always come through.
WHAT HAVE I DONE
YOU ASK THIS QUESTION:
"WHAT HAVE I DONE?"
USUALLY WHEN EITHER REALIZING
I'VE HURT SOMEONE, OR BEING HURT.
WE OTEN ENTER INTO CIRCUMSTANCES BLINDLY;
NOT BEING AWARE OF THE OUTCOME OF IT.
"WHAT HAVE I DONE?"
OUR FLESHY DESIRES CLOUD OUR MIND
IN RIGHTEOUS DECISIONS.
IS IT RIGHT OR IS IT WRONG?
LITTLE DO WE KNOW THERE'S A WHISPER THAT TELLS US
WHICH WAY TO GO AND HOW;
BUT WE AS ALWAYS THINK WE KNOW
OR CAN FORCE THE OUTCOME!
AS WE REALIZE AFTER THAT OUTCOME
DOESN'T MATERIALIZE AS WE PLAN;
THAT QUESTION ARISES:
"WHAT HAVE I DONE?"
IGNORING THAT WHISPER WILL EVENTUALLY
CAUSE US TO ASK WHY.
WE DON'T ACCEPT THAT IT WAS OUR CHOICE AND DECISION;
WHICH ENDS UP WITH THE QUESTION:
"WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"
AS TIME GOES BY THE QUESTION OF
WHAT HAVE I DONE-
MATERIALIZES AFTER THE HURT, THE PAIN-
WHAT HAVE I DONE?
OUR HEART STARTS TO ACHE
OUR MIND STARTS TO WONDER
IF I HAD ONLY......
PREVENTING THIS QUESTION COMES
ONLY WHEN WE LISTEN TO
THE WHISPER OR OUR CONSCIOUS
THAT TELLS US DON'T!
THEN CAN WE ELIVIATE THE QUESTION:
WHAT HAVE I DONE!
A STEP BACK
TAKE A STEP BACK
WHEN WE SEE THAT AHEAD IS NOT WHAT WE HOPED FOR;
TAKE A STEP BACK
SO WE DON'T RUSH "FULL STEAM AHEAD" TO DESTRUCTION.
TAKE A STEP BACK
JUST TO SMELL, SEE, TOUCH THE WONDERS OF GOD'S CREATIONS.
THAT STEP BACK MAY SOUND LIKE TO SOME
LIKE YOUR'E HESITANT,
TO SOME A RETREAT;
THEN TO ANOTHER A CAUTIOUS THING TO DO.
TO GAIN A FULL PERSPECTIVE OF THINGS
A STEP BACK WILL PROVE TO BE RIGHT.
IF YOU DON'T, AND GO AHEAD BLINDLY,
YOU MAY JUST END UP IN A POSITION
THAT YOU DIDN'T WANT TO BE.
A STEP BACK MAY ALSO PROVE
THAT YOU ARE WAITING FOR THE BEST OUTCOME.
DON'T THINK THAT A SYEP BACK MEANS
YOU ARE NOT GAINING.
THAT STEP BACK MAY ALLOW YOU TO LOOSE
THE REIGNS OF WHAT HE HAS FULL CONTROL OF.
TO THOSE WHO FEEL THAT THEY ARE AWARE
OF THE THINGS TO COME;
DON'T ALWAYS COME THROUGH SQUEAKY CLEAN.
IF THEY TAKE THAT STEP BACK
TO THEM IT MEANS FAILURE :
"NO, NEVER THAT!"
THAT STEP BACK WILL LET YOU DISCERN
WHAT IS BEST, AND WHAT IS GOOD.
A STEP BACK WILL ALLOW GOD
TO SMOOTH, STRAIGHTEN, AND MOVE
ALL THE BUMPS, HILLS, MOUNTAINS
AND EVEN GIANTS
THAT MAY CREEP UP WHEN WE DON'T!
FORGIVENESS
There are times the word forgiveness
Is hard to say.
Its even worse when you say it , but don't mean it:
"I forgive you, but I ain't gonna forget!"
Though at times you even think that you have,
But the slightest action or argument
May stir up just what you thought you had done.
When we pray and ask our Heavenly Father for forgiveness
He is merciful, loving, and gracious enough to.
So how is it that we as earthly dwellers can ask God
And cannot give or even ask for that forgiveness
From or to others.
The whole act of the word forgiven
Should release us from the bondage
we have put ourselves in by not!
If those who call or try to represent
Christian or Christianity(and even those who just
Want to go to heaven)
Do not even try to be forgiven or give forgiveness.
So how can we who use that statement
Look to God for the forgiveness
Of what we've done.
As we approach God to be forgiven
And even ask:
"Do you remember when......"
Mercy and grace knows that He does not:
"It is cast into the sea ....."
For us to achieve that mode of being forgiven,
We must first forgive ourselves;
Cause we're our worst critics!
I myself can even say that there's still someone or something
That I have yet to forgive.
So whenever we're faced with the dilemma
Of trying to forgive or being forgiven
Act as God---
So we don't rehash what has past.
THIS WOMEN
This women
Strong yet determined
This women
God fearing, though she knew
And try to deny His presence.
She's been through what most call
"A hard knock life."
She's also tried to identify with what's been eating at her.
Something called purpose.
This women
To some she's not as strong at first glance.
This women
On the surface she's spirited, outspoken;
She tries, fails, tries again
Then becomes that "superwomen!"
She sets her mind in a mode of superficiality,
So that her strength kicks into play.
She knows there's something God called her to be.
This women
Denies or tries to cover up the pain
This women
Does what it takes, no matter what.
Though she's been in bad situations
Her determination keeps driving her.
She knows that old saying of:
"many have tried, though never....."
You know that saying!!!
This women
Thru many failures, successes, and even disappointments
This women doesn't know the meaning
Of giving up or quitting.
Her knowledge of things to some
Makes her "a know it all."
She also feels that being well rounded
Doesn't make her dumb.
This women
Can see that all those negatives can turn positive.
Don't ever doubt that this women
Through many heartaches and pain;
Can be the queen God called her to be!
JUST FOR YOU
JUST FOR YOU I'D PAINT A RAINBOW IN THE SKY;
I'D MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL AND MAKE IT LAST BY AND BY
THEN I'D MAKE THE SEA CALM; A SAILORS DELIGHT.
ALL THIS I'D DO JUST FOR YOU.
JUST FOR YOU I'D FUFILL ANY PLEASURE OR FANTACSY.
I'D TRY TO MAKE EACH DAY FILLED WITH ECSTACY.
I'D BE LIKE A GUARDIAN ANGEL
MAKING EACH DAY RIGHT.
LETTING EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING
COME WITHIN SIGHT.
I'D BE LIKE A MOTHER WHO SHELTERS YOU FROM THE COLD;
KEEPING YOU FROM ANY DANGER THAT'S SO BOLD
ALL THIS I'D DO, JUST FOR YOU.
JUST FOR YOU I'D GIVE YOU THE MOON AND THE STARS.
I'D TAKE YOU RIDING ON MY ROCKET WAY UP FAR.
AND I'LL LET YOU FALL FROM MY HEART-
AT A HALF MILE FROM HEAVEN IS WHERE WE'LL START!
AND JUST TO KNOW THAT YOU'RE THERE
INSIDE MY LOVE,
WOULD MAKE ME DO THE THINGS I DO-TAKING US ABOVE;
ABOVE ALL OTHER LIMITS AND BOUNDRIES OF THE SKY.

WITH MY HEART AND YOURS THERE IS NO DEATH.

WHAT IS LOVE
Love can be admiration
Love would be affiliation
With a person, or thing, or animal.
But, what is love?
Love is used to say a feeling
Love should not be concealing
It should always come from the heart.
Everyone has their own meaning
Its centered around a trusting felling;
That I know will come with time
Through the echoes of your mind.
But is this love?
A question asked with everyone inclined
If it is love, and what if It lasts?!
With all my heart I ask from above
Should I love from my heart and mind
Or just my heart afast?
Will I ever know what love has and is for me!?
A Memoir
THAT DAY
When I woke this morning, there was a feeling of urgency; to do so many things-what exactly I had no clue! As I went to use the phone, down the street, this feeling of hopelessness came into my spirit. I kept going over in my mind a list of things I needed to do. Earlier I had read "my Daily Bread" for the day, which featured a scripture I was very familiar with-Jehovah Jireh, my provider! I began to talk to my loving friend Mary, about my situation I was facing, and in turn she stepped in to assist me with it.
Although in my mind I feared and felt this was unturnable situation. Prior to this conversation I had called an agency hoping, wishing that this place could help me! So I guess this is when the feeling of hopelessness really, really got the best of me! Mary had suggested to call my landlord- in my mind I thought again that there was nothing she could do-Hopelessness!!! As time went on tears began to fall, fear arose; the feeling of déjà-vu! Here I go again; I just don't understand!! What am I doing that's making me go through this dilemma again! Loss of a place of residence again! I know that there's something I'm supposed to do, but what is it Lord?! After the conversation Mary had with my landlord, a sense of relief as well as an outpouring of love filled my soul; like God was telling me: "everything will be o.k.!" Whenever I feel the Holy Spirit speak to my heart its an overwhelming touch of love and joy--- relief! Soon afterwards, Mary's co-worker Kate came in and spoke; we both wondered what she was doing there! Kate then told me to keep the faith, walk by faith, your God is with you! "I don't know why I was driven to tell you this;" she said! Mary and Kate are both a kind of people who I've befriended and loved through God's love! They both assured me I should not let this wicked world belittle my faith! I had to confess that neither parents have ever taught me to live by faith, walk by faith; but to depend on myself to get things done! So of course it would be difficult for me to adjust to depending on God for everything!
Worrying was a second nature to me; but Mary reminded me of a scripture Mathew 6:25, 26 and 30; that tells us not to worry about how we will live! "Look at the birds, they do not worry about how, where, and when they'll eat, sleep, and fly!" With that being said it reassured me of how the Lord God took care of all His creatures big or small. Kate also told me that as far as the faith issue with our parents that's how we were raised, unfortunately! Over time thru dibbling and dabbling in other religions besides the known Baptist, and even Islamic faith, or Catholic; not one of them (except maybe Baptist) was any different in teaching me how to have faith. But in my constant reading, and participating in bible study; over the years of my life I've had to exercise my ability to learn how.
There's still a naggin' voice that tells me "you're still not where your faith should be!" But I guess that's just God wanting me to grow to His liking. As I left from using the phone, and the uplifting conversation that transpired; a sense of calm was with me. This was a complete change of emotion that I woke up with. Thankful that I felt this way, I began to see others that I came across; in a more loving manner! This was a change from my usual "don't bother me" attitude. Sometimes in our "I can do it myself" attitude toward things; will keep us from the growth God intended. We all need someone to uplift us, or help us in a way that we ourselves need, to keep us from self destruction, or self deterioration. And also in turn we never know when we will be that blessing or encourager to someone who is in need!! Let's try to take the blinders off, and start looking for someone that just may need our encouragement. You never know when you just might be entertaining an angel!!!
