*Chapter fifteen*

-Ethans POV-

Opening my eyes, I look at the ceiling. When I don't feel another presence next to me, I look over. As expected, Alexander wasn't there. He must have woken up, realised and got out of bed.

I get up, finding my shirt and putting it on. Slowly, I drag my feet down the stairs. Yawning, I turn the corner and there Alexander is. On the couch, watching something on the laptop.

He looks calm but zoned in. Like one wrong move could easily scare him. His legs are kicked up on the coffee table as he leans back into the couch.

I continue walking up to him and sit down.

"Hey." I say.

Alexander pauses the show or movie and removes the earbuds.

"Hello."

"So formal." I say and tilt my head. Just last night he was fun and cuddly. Now he's back to the attempt in being mysterious.

"I think you forget that technically I can talk to you how I please. Considering you're under my name."

My mouth drops. What the hell?

"Ive got family things to attend to. Go grocery shopping, then come right back." He says as he gets up.

Alexander goes to the kitchen and grabs, what I'm assuming is, his backpack. Then he walks out without another word.

He essentially just called me his pet again. After everything, the kiss, the cuddling, watching movies together, even me getting a new house. And this is how he acts?

Whatever, I've got to go shopping anyways. I drag myself to my bedroom and look in my closet. The pile of clothes I never got the chance to put away lays on the floor. I pick up a t-shirt and some jeans. Throwing them on, I grab my key to the apartment, some money, my phone and head back down the stairs.

I turn to make sure I didn't leave anything and then turn back to the door and walk out. If i'm being totally honest, I don't even know where the store is. But its worth a shot trying to find it.

I lightly bounce down the two flights of stairs that I have to take to get back to my apartment later. Walking out the door of the entrance to all the apartments, I look both ways. I don't see a store within my view right now.

Sighing heavily, I turn right and begin my journey. There has to be a store relatively close. I weave my way through people along the sidewalk, trying my best not to make eye contact.

My phone starts buzzing in my pocket and I pull it out but still try to maintain focus on finding the store. I swipe across my screen and put the phone to my ear.

"Honey! Hi." My moms voice chirps loudly into the phone.

"Hello." I smile even though she can't see.

"How are you?"

I notice the store in a far distance and cross the road. "I'm alright. I got my new place."

"Oh sweetie I'm so happy for you. Are we able to visit any time soon? Jules really misses you." Jules lightly cries in the background.

"Soon. I have to figure everything out first." I sigh, continuing to walk along the sidewalk.

"Okay. I have to cut this call short though, your sister is upset again." She sighs tiredly.

"Okay mom. I love you."

"Love you too." And with that, she ends the call.

Finally, I arrive at the store. What does one even get as groceries. I was given a credit card by Esme. But I'm not even sure how much is on it. I don't want to spend too much.

Looking around, I grab a shopping card then I head for canned and boxed goods. Easy meals to start off with. Putting in various boxed and canned goods, I then head for lunch meats, bread and condiments. Just as I put in a pack of Ham, I look up and notice a man looking at me.

He quickly looks away so I purse my lips and look away as well. I continue shopping and throwing in various foods. But as I push the cart to check out, I find the same man again. Instead of looking away, this time he walks up to me.

"Hello." He smiles, his teeth showing. They're pretty white if I can add.

Looking him over I see slight dimples. He has quite pale skin but not as pale as Alexander, certainly lightly than me though. He looks about eighteen and has piercing blue eyes. The colour you'd think the waters in the Bahamas look like.

"Hey." I finally say.

"I'm Adrien."

"Ethan." I hesitate slightly before saying my name. If he knows I got auctioned he could report me and then Alexander could get in trouble.

"I'm sorry for being so creepy. I'm not good at hiding the fact that I find someone highly attractive." Adrien blushes slightly.

"It's all good." I bite my lip after speaking.

"I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable. I'm really open about my sexuality so if you're not gay just tell me. I'm down to be really close friends. I mean we could be friends anyways if that happens, I just. I'm sorry." He rambles, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand as he looks at the floor.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. I am gay. I just moved here though so I'm trying to settle in. I'm totally down to be friends in the time being." I smile and tilt my head.

He looks up and grins. "I've got to go. But can I get your number and I can text you later?"

"Sure." I smile. Unlocking my phone and bringing it to contacts, I hand him my phone.

After a couple seconds he hands it back to me, then waves goodbye and walks off.

When he walks out the door I begin pushing my cart to check out. The cashier greets me as I begin placing everything on the check out belt.

"How is your afternoon?" She asks as she begins scanning everything and placing them in bags.

"Good." I smile back as I finish putting everything up on the belt.

Time to figure out how to get everything back. I never thought this through. My phone begins buzzing in my pocket. As I pull my phone out, Alexanders name lights up my screen. I slide it and put the phone up to my ear.

"Yes?" I ask as I begin placing my bagged things in the cart.

"Where are you." He asks in his monotone 'badass' voice.

"The store. You know, the place you ordered me to go to today." I say slightly angrily.

I also pull out the credit card and swipe it through the tiny machine, type the pin and sign my name. The cashier hands me the receipt and smiles.

"I'm coming to get you. Is it the closest store to the right of your apartment?"

"I'm fine getting home on my own, Alexander. It's not a far walk. It's only like noon anyways." I mumbled. Putting the phone in a balanced position between my ear and my shoulder as I pick up the multiple bags of food.

"I don't care. I'm coming to pick you up, then we drop the groceries off and go to the park." I hear a door slam in the background. Meaning he's about to be on his way.

"The park? Aren't we a little old." I ask, walking out of the store.

"One, no one is too old. Two, you'll see why when we get there. Three, there's also a nature trail."

"Okay..." I mumble slightly confused.

The phone clicks, signalling he hung up. But just then his car pulls up beside me. He quickly gets out and grabs a few of the bags which allows me to grab my phone and put it back in my pocket. I hop in the passenger seat and after Alexander closes the back door, he sits in the drivers seat. He drives off.

Since the store is close to my apartment, we arrive there in minutes. I get out, grabbing my apartment key. Alexander comes around to me with all the bags. Rolling my eyes, I unlock the main door and hold it open for him.

Alexander goes in then waits so I can go first up the few flights of stairs to my apartment.

"Why aren't you speaking at all?" Alexander asks, refusing to break his monotone voice.

"There's nothing to say." I mumble.

"You're upset with me. What did I do?"

We reach my apartment and I open the door. He goes in first and instantly goes to the kitchen, where he sets down the bags. I wait by the door. He comes out of the kitchen and walks towards me and out the door. We go down stairs and to the car.

"Why are we going to the park?" I ask as we walk out the main doors.

"You'll find out." He speaks quiet and goes to the drivers side of the car.

**A/N alright so I'm sorry I'm so late on updating AGAIN. But yayy. What do you think they'll do at the park? ((: Also, should I take out the tag of Vampire? I feel like it might be too much and like he's shown no signs of vampire and we're already on chapter 15. xoxo Kat**
