"hey, v." griffin said softly
"so good to see you again," i smiled lightly
"what is the purpose of this?" i asked
"i thought you maybe would just want to chill for a bit, you know just to calm down from all the hectic stuff going on at work." he replied
"it's so weird that i get to call that work now." i laughed
"yeah... do you wanna play any music, just to have something playing?" he asked
"sure, i'll make it like carpool karaoke but worse." i said laughing and plugging the aux cord into my phone
"what do you want dj v to play?"
"pick something." he said
"ok, bet."
"woke up alone in this hotel room, played with myself, where were you?"
i start to just genuinely relax and sink down in my chair. i look over at griffin, he's driving and humming along to the song. it's raining, quite nice for a moment like this.
i feel his hand come off of the steering wheel and gravitate towards mine. he intertwines it softly with mine while obliviously smirking. griffin gluck, everyone! possibly the most humble person i know, but does have his moments of egotism.
i see him make a right & head into an area i don't know, but at this point i'm too tired and happy to even care. ya girl landed a roll on a netflix original, she's listening to harry styles, and is holding hands with her biggest "celebrity" crush while driving in the rain not having a care in the world. i think you could say i have it pretty good.
"oh yeah nice pajamas by the way." griffin laughed
"i love the clearly old cat sweater paired with the also old grey shorts." he added
"hey! i got this sweater last year. but yeah, these shorts were my moms so they're pretty old. but you can't forget the also old as hell birkenstocks with socks that just complete this look!" i said pulling up my leg to reveal the sandals
"ah yes, how could i forget?"
the already minimal laughter dies down and griffin continues to drive soundly.
griffin pulls into a secluded area, i believe some sort of mini forest.

"if you weren't currently acting, what would you want to do?"
"i'd probably focus harder on school, you know because that's important. um besides that, i've always wanted to be a singer or an artist, you know someone who works in the fine arts."
"where do you see yourself in 10, maybe 15 years?"
"hmm, married. i have a few kids, a dog probably & i'm probably gonna still be working as an actress with blaire & shea by my side."
"what type of dog?"
"golden retriever for sure."
a short but arduous awkward silence passes when griffin finally pipes up.
"hey violet?"
"yeah?"
"i think i'm in love with you."
"i think i'm in love with you too."
