Amidst the mirrors of my mind,
many a dream beads spin.
Some of hope and joy, some unkind,
and others that are quite maudlin.
Dreams tinged in rosy hue,
bringing expectations in their wake.
Splinters of broken ones too,
sorrow and tears when they break.
Dreams that now bring a smile,
for we grow up as life goes on.
Lost innocence and harmless guile,
Childhood dreams surely gone

Now that is quite a childish output and not even complete- not at all like what I imagined. I need to see if I can improve or finally realise that I cannot write poetry.
