Wet, hot kisses are all over my neck and throat. It's definitely a wonderful feeling to wake up to, as I breathe out a sigh and tilt my head further back. His teeth tug at my ear lobe as his hands trail up my shirt.

Too early, but the need will never die.

"Jace..." I breathe, arching my back into him, evidently pushing my behind into his crotch.

He grunts, pinning me to the mattress and settling between my hips, over me. Our lips meet sensually, sending that overwhelming feeling through my body once again.

I know we need to talk, about a few things on his side and mine, but I'd like to enjoy as much time with him before things go south. Chances are he'll get pissed that I went to talk to Eric and I'll get mad as well because of his disappearance yesterday.

It's early, the sun has barely risen, so I know he'll be leaving soon. Whether this'll be the last time I talk to him for the day or not is unknown. I hope that it won't be, but I really don't know what to expect. He doesn't have a normal pattern.

The kiss is semi short, but sweet and when he pulls away he leans his forehead against mine. His eyes are closed when I raise mine, and he has his bottom lip rolled into his mouth.

"Good morning," he smiles, finally gazing at me. I reciprocate the gesture and rub my nose against his while he hooks my knee over his hip.

"We need to talk," I let him know, fully aware that he'll shoot me down. I slide my fingers through his hair.

"Not now," he confirms my suspicions and trails a hand down my outer thigh, sending my body into a pile of blazing mush. I can't shake the feeling that he's hiding something significant, and yet I can't tell him to stop touching me.

I could quite possibly need a therapist for my obsession over his touch. Maybe a substitute.

"Ja-" his lips cover mine before I can push further, and I give up after a second. I'll do it later. I let out a whimper of appreciation and he grunts, pushing his hips into mine while I raise my own. His hand slides from my thigh to underneath my shirt and resting just beneath my breast. I lose my breath.

I'm tempted to stay here all day with him and do just this; kiss and be close together. I haven't missed a day of school since freshmen year when I had the flu - exclude last weeks two absences - so it amazes me how willing I am to ditch. It being senior year, all of my peers have hardly come to any of their classes, but I have. Now I realize how pointless it really is. I'm still waiting on my acceptance for the university of Michigan, but I'm almost positive that I will get in. Not trying to be overly confident, so going to class doesn't help me or hurt me considering my excessive amount of credits already.

"Babygirl," he growls, pushing my hips down with his hands. I let out a whine and try to raise them again, but he doesn't back down. "Stop or I won't be able to control what happens next."

My head falls back as his lips suction to my throat and neck and collarbone. He grabs my hands, holding them hostage over my head as he does so, leaving my body to him for the taking.

Am I drunk?

I'm panting, heaving, craving for him to do whatever he wants, but he pulls away in time before I voice my desires. His forehead meets mine, and we stay like this for a few seconds, just catching our breath.

"I should go before your parents get up," he tells me, already moving off of me and to his clothes that are casually lying on my carpeted floor. I can't help the disappointment that surfaces.

I watch him intently as he dresses. And I realize only Jace West can make buttoning his pants so goddamn sexy.

"Will I see you in first hour?" I ask, swinging my legs over the side of the bed and stand up. He raises his eyes to my face after he's successfully flipped his hair out of the way.

"Probably," He nonchalantly responds making my stomach tighten.

I nod, feeling my mood shift significantly. I don't like uncertainty and especially with him, going by our past it would be nice to know that he's coming to school. Regardless, I drop the subject and he leaves me in the middle of my room with a kiss to my cheek.

Despite my persistent attempts to keep my mood up and not think about Jace, it basically to no use. I'm silent throughout breakfast, which in return makes my parents cast me worried looks. Each time I would attempt a weak smile and every time they'd act like everything was okay. They thought I didn't see the sly looks they were giving each other but I did and I chose to ignore it.

I can't wholly blame my sudden change in mood on Jace, though. Eric is somewhat apart of the cause as much as I wish he wasn't. The fact that I have to tell Jace adds to it and I've just chosen to ignore it all for the time being. It's too much.

After parking my car, I wait for Caleb to get out before doing the same. I watch him walk swiftly over to his group of friends, my eyes catching sight of Ensley. She's a nice girl, from what I can tell for the few times she's been over, she seems far too sweet for my brother and his crude behavior. As far as I know, they're just friend, but I can see it leading to something else. That's if my brother got his head out of his ass and saw the way that girl looked at him.

Is that how I'm portrayed every time I'm with Jace? Probably.

I sigh and adjust my bag on my shoulder, finally walking into the school. As I'm walking through the crowded hallways I just so coincidentally pass Eric. He briefly gazes at me, but it's cut short when I break the connection.

"You made it," I sound more relieved than I wanted to. Seeing Jace sitting at his desk when I walk into the classroom is something I hoped to see, but didn't expect. I'm glad it did, though.

"I told you it was a possibility," he smirks slightly and I want to hit him with my textbook. He just loves to get on my nerves no matter the circumstances.

I roll my eyes and take a seat, trying my best not to be overly excited about Jace being next to me.

It's scary how much my happiness depends on him. I know it could lead to devastating outcomes, but yet I don't want to stop what we're doing.

"You're so lame," he mentions when the bell rings and I begin to pack my stuff.

"Why?" I ask, caught off guard, but also not surprised. The boy has no filter so it's no wonder.

"You're the only one in the class who actually takes notes," he answers and we begin to walk towards the door.

"Sorry that I want to get an A," I sarcastically apologize, waving my hands at the height of my chest.

He chuckles. "You're forgiven."

I nudge his shoulder and he snickers. As soon as we make it out of the classroom, Jace stops.

"I'll see you later, okay?" I don't even get a chance to respond before he's heading toward a group of guys leaning against lockers. They definitely don't look like the type you want to mess with, but I wonder what Jace has to do with them?

I don't think I've ever seen them together before.

They seem to be in a very important and serious conversation which spikes my curiosity. I'm nosey, I know. Unfortunately, Braylee comes around to walk to our second period before I do something irrational.

And all I can think about for the rest of the day is all of the talking we have to do.

•••

Braylee, Candice and I decided to go get some food after school. Candice thinks we're drifting too far apart which really doesn't make sense since I just hung out with them on Saturday. I didn't object because come on, it's food.

We decided on Olga's.

"So, Nina," Braylee cuts straight to the chase. We haven't even ordered yet and she's already going into the deep. "What happened yesterday with Eric?"

"Wait what?" Candice questions, eyes wide. I close my mouth after I was about to answer and stir my straw around my pop. "What happened with Eric?"

"He texted her yesterday asking to meet up," Braylee fills her in.

"No way!" Candice squeals, turning her wild eyes towards me. "What happened?"

I let out a dramatic breath. "Nothing, really. He apologized and basically asked for another chance."

Braylee and Candice still wait for something else, but there's not really anything to tell.

"And what did you say?" Bray asks.

"Are you going to give him another chance?" Candice questions back.

I shrug. "I can't even really think about that right now."

They both nod in understanding and the waitress comes around to take our order.

I would love to keep Eric as a friend, of course that would be great, but is it logical? No. He cheated on me for years, and now I'm going in a different direction with his ex-best friend. For us to be friends doesn't seem like something that makes sense and I won't put myself in an awkward position like that. Chances are Jace wouldn't be too happy with that, either. Not saying he has any control over who I'm friends with, but I definitely would not be okay with him being all buddy buddy with Janine.

Throughout our meal, Candice and Braylee talk about trivial things while I occasionally chip in. I'm stuck on the fact that I've yet to tell them about Jace and I's budding relationship. I know that I don't have to tell them everything that goes on in my life, but I'm sure they'd like to know. I'm just uncertain about it all, mostly because of what happened yesterday and for the fact that I haven't heard from Jace since first hour.

He makes me happy, he makes me reckless, but he also makes me crazy. It's a phenomenon how he can control my emotions with no knowledge of doing so. I'd like to think that it's somewhat the same for him from me, but I kind of know that's not the case.

"Let's go to Victoria's Secret really fast," Braylee suggests. Olga's is in the local mall, and therefore Braylee must always use that to her advantage. I should've known.

"Okay!" Candice excitedly agrees and we make our way out of Olga's. I'm surrounded by lingerie as soon as I enter the store, and the familiar perfume scents.

I laugh when Candice sighs in complete bliss. It's like their heaven.

"You guys are so over dramatic," I mention while shaking my head. They are already walking towards the underwear.

"One day you'll understand, my dear, Nina," Braylee sing songs. "One day."

I roll my eyes and look around the small area with my eyes. I notice a very nice set of underwear with a bra that draws me in. It's light pink material, with lace covering the exterior. The underwear are full, nothing like the ones Braylee is looking at, and the bra isn't push up. I bite my lip and imagine how surprised Jace would be to see this on me.

I smile slightly and decide to get them. Just this pair and just this once.

"You're getting those?" Braylee asks, excitement in her voice.

"I think so," I say nonchalantly and she screams, loud enough that I have to cover her mouth with my hand. "God, Braylee, be any louder?"

She pushes my hand away and jumps up and down, holding my arms, but I don't join in.

"I'm just so happy!" I roll my eyes and walk away to go pay. "Nina! This is a time to celebrate!"

I snort a laugh and pay for the set. Eighty bucks I spend and I nearly lose my mind at that. Jace better like them because they'll be the only pair I own for a while.

Braylee is still squeaking excitedly in my ear as we walk back towards the food court where we parked. I'm finding her enthusiasm funny, actually, but I won't tell her that. And when we finally make it to the food court where a crowd of bodies eat, I notice this person out of everyone though.

Jace West is at a table, and he's with the group of guys from school and two girls.

I feel my stomach tighten.
