She comes to me with blood soaked sleeves
And hurt in her eyes
I'm the one to blame
For all this fighting

I grab her tight and hold her near
Sobbing and soothing
But shocked eyes filled with fear
My heart sank by what I saw,
Beneath those blood soaked sleeves,
Was a deep jagged cut still raw
And when she walked away
I promised I wouldn't forget
Watching her
And suddenly filled with regret
Because to this day
As the memories pass
I realize

For all her suffering
