The first time Jeremy wanted to Kiss Michael was in second grade.
The two had been playing house together on the playground, with both boys playing 'husbands'.
"Okay! I'm off to work!" Michael said, smiling wide as he pretended to carry a suitcase. "Bye Honey!"
"Wait!" Jeremy called out after him. "Don't you want a goodbye kiss?" He asked softly, half in character.
Michael giggled before rushing off to 'work'. Jeremy pretended not to be upset as he started to 'clean' the house.

The second time was a few years later. Jeremy and Michael were hanging out in Michaels basement, bottles of beer around them.
They had started to play truth or dare out of boredom, and Jeremy had secretly hoped he could tell Michael he liked him.
Michael had already asked who Jeremy liked and Jeremy had chugged, not wanting to blow his cover, so he had to wait longer than he had hoped.
After a few rounds, it was Jeremy felt comfortable enough (drunk enough) to ask.
"Truth or dare?"
"Dare." Michael said with a wide look in his eyes.
"I dare you to... kiss me."
Michael chuckled, picking up a can and chugging it while Jeremy pretended not feel like his world was falling apart. Jeremy laughed it off, covering his emotions as long as he could.

The third time wasn't that long after the last time.
They'd had a sleepover, and Michael was already passed out.
Jeremy hadn't been able to go to sleep, fully aware of the warm body next to him. It made him feel... fuck. He didn't know what to feel.
He turned around, forgetting how close Michael was. His face was right next to Jeremy's, and Jeremy's breath hitched.
He scooted back in the bed, careful not to wake up Michael. He glanced back at the boy, and uncontrollably looked at the boys lips. They were calling him, almost taunting him...
But he couldn't. Michael would hate him.
So he turned over, and tried to go to sleep.

The fourth time Jeremy and Michael had been playing Apocalypse Of the Damned, level nine.
Jeremy glanced over at Michael, and the beautiful boy was biting his lip softly, concentrating on the game in front of them.
Jeremy lost all interest in the game, hypnotized by Michael. He was so close to him, he could almost-
Jeremy tasted blood and jumped up.
In his sexual frustration, he'd bit his own lip. He covered his mouth with his hand, rushing to the bathroom while Michael went back to follow him.
"What the hell happened, man?" Michael asked, worriedly.
Jeremy dryly chuckled to himself. "Nothing."

The fifth time, was probably one of the biggest mistakes he'd ever made.
Jeremy had just gotten a SQUIP. Michael had helped him, and Jeremy secretly wondered if this would be his last chance to kiss him.
Jeremy glanced at the stuff in his hands before looking at Michael. "God, thank you so much. I could like, kiss you right now." Jeremy cringed inwardly at his own words, but he tried to roll with it.
Michael chuckled, ruffling Jeremy's hair before his phone went off. He checked it, smiling wide. "Dude! Oh fuck. My boyfriend got me crystal Pepsi! I have to go, Jere. You good?"
"Yeah." Jeremy croaked out. "Fine. Thanks."
"No problem, bud!"
And with those three words, Michael left a heart broken Jeremy for good.
