(Y/N)'s pov

"Watch and learn ladies! This is how you catch a fish." My idiotic brother, Sokka, better put a sock on it or else.

"Yes, because you definitely caught a fish every other time you said that." I huffed in annoyance. It's not even like he's been doing anything productive! Katara has been watching my water bending technique on how to catch fish.

I point over to a fish currently swimming by her. "Try the technique on that fish" I mutter to her. Knowing that I would get scolded by Sokka if I said it any louder.

Katara hesitantly slipps her glove off her hand and mimics my movements, I grin proudly at her as she captures the fish in a globe of water.

"I did it! I caught one!" Katara cheered

"Great job Kat!" I praised. Hey, I may be two years younger than her, but I'm still allowed to praise my sister.

"SHHHHHHHHHHHH. Both of you! You'll scared the fish away!" Sokka scolded us. See what I mean?

"But Sokka, I caught one!"

"Besides, with the way your talking I think you will manage with scaring it off on your own." I say.

As Katara tried to show our brother that she caught one, Sokka turned around and lifted his spear into the air, popping the bubble of water that was one containing the fish. He got drenched and the fish ran back into the icy ocean.

"Katara!" Sokka yelled

"It's not her fault that you got drenched. Had you listened to us you wouldn't be wet." I state. And Sokka just ignored my statement.

Sokka sighed and turned to look both Katara and I in the eyes. "Why is it that whenever you too play with magic water I always get soaked?"

"First of all, it's not magic water it's-" Katara started before she was rudely cut off

"Yeah, yeah. Waterbendng, it's an ancient art, unique to our culture, blah blah blah. All I'm saying is if I had weird powers I would keep my weirdness to myself." Yeah. He is asking for a slap in the back of his head.

"You're calling us weird? Were not the ones who make muscles to ourselves every time we see our reflection." Katara shoots back and I snicker. He ironically sat up from where he was doing just that.

Katara and I both roll our eyes agin. "Also, it's not my fault that you got splashed. At leased not this time-"

I was cut off when our canoe started to rock to the side and the sound of the water rapids flooded my ears.

"Go left! Go left!" Katara and I both scream the logical decision at Sokka, but being the big, sour baby that he is he decides to go right. What a moron.

Our canoe crashes in-between two species of sea-ice. "You call that left?" Was the only comment that Katara made once we were on a large piece of ice. My body was thrown across it and the tip of my hair was centimeters from falling into the water. That's how close I was to being in the freezing (Literally) water.

Katara pulled me back and tugged me into a warm embrace. "Well, since I did such a bad job, why didn't you two just water bend us out of there?"

"So your saying it's our fault?" Came my angered response

"Well naturally. I knew I should have left you two at home." Oh my word. He is asking for some one to hit on the head. Maybe our parents dropped him on the head when he was a baby. Oh, but guess what? He wasn't finished.

Sokka continued, not giving a care in the world at Katara's angered expression

"Are you telling me only girls mess up?" His response to my question sent me over the edge.

"Well, there are things that girls are good at, and fishing is not one of them. Plus your younger which means you are clumsier and mess up even more. You should just stick to cooking." His comment effected me more than it should have. Before I knew it, Tears were streaming drown my face like a waterfall that just broke through a dam. I know I'ma girl. And I'm aware that I'm clumsy. But he had no right to say that. He had no right to shove it in my face.

"DO YOU RELIZE WHAT YOU JUST DID? YOU JUST MADE OUR LITTLE SISTER CRY BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID, SEXIST PIG COMMENTS." Katara's arms wave around in the air wildly, threatening to smack him. "I HAVE NEVER MET SOMEONE SO IGNORANT. YOU HAVE NO RESPECT. YOU'RE DUMB AND I'M EMBARRASSED TO EVEN BE RELATED TO YOU." she bellows. Behind her a glacier was cracking due to the sheer force that her wild gestures created.

"Uh......Katara?" Sokka questions. But Katara was having none of it. She raised a hand to silence him.

"NO. YOU ARE GOING TO LISTEN. HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT JUST BECAUSE WE ARE YOUNG GIRLS, WE MESS UP MORE? JUST BECAUSE YOUR OLDER DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CAN BOSS US AROUND."

"EVER SINCE MOM DIED (Y/N) AND I HAVE BEEN DOING ALL THE WORK AROUND HERE WHILE YOU'VE BEN OFF PLAYING SOLIDER. WE EVEN WASH ALL THE CLOTHES. HAVE YOU EVER EVEN SMELLED YOUR DIRTY SOCKS? WELL LET ME TELL YOU! NOT PLEASANT! FROM NOW ON YOUR ON YOUR OWN!" Katara screams knocking down the giant glacier.

With that said, (Y/N) managed to say, "Katara, I think you should turn around..."

Katara gasps, surprised as she watches the glacier crumble into the sea. "I-I did that?"

"Yep. Now you've gone from weird to freakish Katara. Congratulations."

"Shut up Sokka." I murmur. I haven't exactly forgiven him just yet.

Sokka, Katara and I all look down as something glows a bright iridescent blue color. the thing rises up from the ocean, revealing itself as an ice sphere. But something about the sphere was familiar. Me and my sister gasp as a figure of a boy opens his eyes. His arrows and eyes glowing, with a much larger outline of a figure behind the boy.

Katara gasps once again and yells "He's alive! We have to help him!" I nod and grab Sokka's Water tribe club.

"Wait! We don't know who he is! Besides, it will take you forever to break through that ice!" Sokka yelled. Welp. I proved him wrong. After seven hits on the ice, it breaks open, and a huge beacon of light burst from the top, and blows a large gust of wind towards me and my siblings. Sokka holds Katara and I in a tight embrace trying to shield us from the wind.

When the beacon stopped glowing the boy fell down, unconscious. I escaped the hold that Sokka had on me, and started to run toward the falling body. I caught the boy, a gently laid him on the snow covered ground. The boy in my arms began to twist, turn and groan. Sokka started to polk the boy in the head with the butt of his spear. The boy groans once again, and starts to open his eyes.

"Hey, are you okay?" Katara asks. They boy looked to be about my age, although a few months older. When his eyes opened I felt my breath get stuck in the back of my throat. His eyes were a warm steel color. He stared back at me will just as much intensity and a somewhat awed expression. I blush under his gaze and fidget with my hands nervously.

"I need to ask you something." The boy says quietly looking between the two of us.

"What?" I ask softly.

"Come closer." He mutters. Katara and I scooted our way closer to his body.

"Do you want to go penguin sliding with me?!" My eyes light up. Oh how I love penguin siding. Katara laughed, Sokka looked cautious and I giggled.

"I would love to." I said while still giggling. He slowly glides himself into a standing position causing Sokka to gasp. He then helped me up from my kneeling position.

"What's going on here?" The boy asks confused.

"You tell us! How did you get into that ice and why aren't you frozen?" Sokka starts poking him again.

"I don't know." The boy admits pushing away Sokka's spear and climbing over the remaining ice.  "Appa! Come on buddy, wake up!"

Katara, Sokka and I walk around to the other side and my mouth falls open at the sight in front of us. The bison, or 'Appa', wakes up and licks the boy.

"You're okay!" He cheers and hugs the bison.

"This is Appa, my flying bison!" The boy shruggs.

"Right and this is (Y/N) and Katara my flying sisters." Sokka says gesturing to us as Appa sneezes on Sokka. Sokka screams and tries to rub the mucus off his face in the snow.

"Don't worry it will wash out." The boy smiles. "So do you guys live around here?"

Before Katara or I could answer Sokka butts in (Ha. Butts.), "Don't answer that! Did you see that crazy bolt of light? He was probably trying to signal the Fire Navy!"

"Oh yeah." I scoff looking at my brother in annoyance. "I'm sure he's a spy for the Fire Navy-"

"You can just tell by the evil look in his eyes." Katara finishes with the same expression on her face.

"The paranoid one is our brother, Sokka. You haven't told us your name." I say turning back to the boy.

"I'm ahh- ahhhhh- ahhh- ACHOOOOOOOOO!!!" The boy sneezes, flew into the air, and then landed gracefully on the snow covered ground. "I'm Aang."

"You sneezed and flew like, 10 feet in the air!" Sokka squeaked, gobsmacked.

"Really? It felt higher than that." Aang said as he surveyed the sky.

I gasp "Wait- are you an Airbender?"

"Sure am." He confirms while smiling at me.

"Giant Light beams, flying bison, Airbenders! I think I've got midnight sun madness!" Sokka exclaims. "I'm going home to where everything makes sense." He starts walking but then gazes out at the sea as he realizes we were on an iceberg with no way to get back to our Water tribe.

"Well if you guys are stuck, Appa and I could give you a lift." Aang offers looking at me specifically. A light coat of blush covered my cheeks.

"We would love a ride, thanks!" I give him a light grin and he smiled right back at me.

"Oh no. I am not getting on that fluffy snot monster!" Sokka calls backing up from Appa.

"Well are you hoping some other fluffy snot monster will come by and give you a ride home? before, you know, freeze to death?" I ask sarcastically. Sokka gives me a light glare. He then gives in and climbs up. He sits next to Katara and crosses his arms over his chest and pouts.

"First time fliers hold on tight! Appa yip-yip!" Aangs voice is cheerful as he pulls on the ropes attached to Appa's horns. Appa leaps into the air before belly flopping onto the water.

"Wow. That was truly amazing." Sokka says in a dull tone. How rude.

"Be nice, Sokka." I warn him.

"Appa's just tired. A little bit of rest and he'll be soaring through the sky! You'll see!" Aang admits. He gave me a big smile and I return it with a shy one. He turns beet red and continues to smile at me. (OMG MY BABYYYYYY. MY SMOLL BEAN.)

"Why are you smiling at me like that?" I nervously laugh a little.

" Oh, I was smiling?" Sokka groaned loudly.

~~Timeskip brought to you by Aang's love for Youuuuuu!~~

By Night we were still traveling on Appa. I crawled over to where Aang was laying. His arms were behind his head.

"Hey. Whatcha thinking about?" He asks.

I felt silly for asking this, "I guess I was wondering, with you being an Airbender and all, if you had any idea of what happened to the Avatar?"

"Uh...no. I didn't know him. I mean, I knew people who knew him, but I didn't know him. Sorry." He says while sitting up.

"That's alright. I was just curious. Goodnight." I say to him, smiling softly. While I crawled back to my spot next to Katara, I felt his gaze on me. It was comforting and left a warm sensation in my chest.

~~Timeskip...again~~

I was assigned the task of waking Aang from his slumber. I woke up early, and entered his igloo. I quickly noticed that he was thrashing around in his sleep.

"Aang? Aang! Wake up!" He wakes panting. "Were in the village now." I tell him.

He go up and only then did I realize he was shirtless.I flushed because of the awkward circumstances. I felt like I was invading his privacy, so I began to rise. I stopped when I saw his blue arrow tattoos that decorated his skin. I stared as he slowly dressed, watching how the tattoos moved with his body.

"Everyone's waiting to meet you." I admit while pulling him out of the igloo and pushed him to stand in front of the villagers.

"Aang, entire village. Entire village, Aang." Katara says while smiling widely. Only about 37 people lived in the village. Those villagers consisted of Women and children. The men in our Tribe are all out fighting in the war.

"Why are they all staring at me like that?" Aang asked me quietly. "Did Appa sneeze on me?!" He starts to check his clothes.

Gran Gran decides to speak up and answer his question. "Well, no one has seen an Airbender for 100 years. We thought they were all extinct. Until my granddaughters and grandson found you."

"Extinct?" Aang stutters with wide eyes.

Katara decided it best to change the subject quickly. "Aang, this is our grandmother." Katara says quickly.

"Call me Gran Gran. Everyone does." She says sternly. Suddenly Sokka pops up besides Aang and takes his staff from him.

"What kind of weapon is this? You can't stab things with it." Sokka's tone is accusing, and I glare at him for it.

Aang laughs as he takes his staff back and says, "It's not for stabbing. It's for Airbending." he pops it open revealing it to be a glider.

Multiple gasps can be heard from the villagers, and one excited girl yells out, " MAGIC! DO IT AGAIN!"

"Not magic, Airbending. It allows me to control the air currents around my glider and fly." Aang explains with small motions to demonstrate. My eyes widen at the thought of a human flying.

"You know, last time I checked, HUMANS CAN'T FLY." Sokka remarked coldly. Well then. someones jealous.

"Check again!" Aang yelled and flew into the air. He soared around everyone, doing tricks. He looked down and grinned at your awed expression. As he grinned down at you he flew right into Sokka's watch tower.

"NO! MY WATCH TOWER!"

"That was amazing!" Katara exclaimed excitedly as I helped him up.

"Great. Your an Airbender, Katara and (Y/N) are Waterbenders. Together you can just waste time all day." Sokka groaned while brushing himself off from all the snow.

"You two are water benders?" Aang asked. His tone and expression showed you how excited he was.

"Well, almost, but not yet." Katara and you said.

"Alright. No more playing. Katara, (Y/N), come. You have chores." Gran Gran said Pulling Katara and I away. I cleaned Sokka's room, trying to ignore the putrid smell of his dirty socks. I pile his clothes into a basket, and walk out. As I was walking I hear his obnoxious voice complaining. I turn the corner in time to see his "Warrior Troops" sliding down Appa's tail, leading me to giggle.

"STOP!" Sokka yells running over to them and glaring at Aang. "Stop it right now! What's wrong with you? We don't have time for games with the war going on!" Sokka yells.

"What are you talking about?" Aang asks while sliding down Appa's tail.

"Your kidding, right?" Sokka asks.

Aang looks out and see's something in the distance. He suddenly yells, "PENGUINS!"

"He's kidding....Right?" Sokka asks me after Aang runs toward the penguins.

~~Timeskip brought to you by Sokka's deep love for his Tower~~

"Hi Aang!" I greet.

"Oh hey!" Aang says while trying to catch a penguin an ride one. "Hey! Come on little guy. Wanna go sledding?" He falls in the snow while trying to catch one. He looks up at me. "I have a way with animals." He starts make funny noises and hobbles around like a penguin, making me giggle.

"Aang, I'll hep you catch a penguin if you teach Katara and me Waterbending." I said laughing some more.

"You gotta deal!" Aang said, "Just one little problem. I'm an Airbender, not a Waterbender. Isn't their someone in your tribe who could teach you and Katara?"

"No..." I admit. I sigh and continue, "Katara and I are the only Waterbenders in the South Pole." I say with a frown.

"This isn't right! a Waterbender needs to master water. What about the North Pole? There's another Tribe up there right? Maybe there is someone up there who could teach you." Aang said.

"Maybe. But we haven't had contact with our sister tribe in a very long time. It's not exactly turn right at the second glacier. It's on the other side of the world." I sigh at the end.

"You forgot the I have a flying Bison! Appa and I can personally fly you two to the North Pole! (Y/N), were going to find you and your sister a master!"

"That's......I dunno..... We've never left home before...."

"Well you think about it. Right now, could you teach me how to catch one of these penguins?!"

"Sure." I giggle some more. "Listen closely my young pupil. Catching penguins is an ancient and sacred art. Observe." I utter. I threw a small fish to Aang who immediately  catches it and is swarmed with penguins. I use the same technique and catch a penguin quickly.

"WHOOO!" Me and Aang yelled and laughed while riding down a hill on penguins.

We ride down through an ice tunnel and the penguins stop in front of a Fire Navy ship nearly incased in ice.

"What is that?" Aang asks curiously

"A Fire Navy ship, and a very bad memory for my people." Aang steps closer to the ship. "Aang we can't go in there. What if it's booby trapped?"

"If you want to be a bender, you have to let go of all fear." Aang wisely said. As we were walking down the dark hallways, Aang exclaimed suddenly "This is so cool!"

"This ship has haunted my Tribe since Gran Gran was a little girl. It was a part of the Fire Nation's first attacks." My tone is unhappy as I tell him.

"Wait. Back up. I have friends all over the world, even in the Fire Nation and I've never seen any war." Aang say to me.

"Aang, how long were you in that iceberg?" I ask him. I tuck a strand of (h/l) (h/c) hair behind my ear and frown slightly at him.

"I dunno. I few day's maybe." He tells me. But his tone is unsure.

"I think it was more like a hundred years!" I exclaim.

"What? That's impossible! Do I look like a hundred twelve year old man to you?" Aang questions.

"No, but think about it. The war is a century old. You didn't know about it because, somehow, you were in that iceberg the whole time! It's the only explanation."

"A hundred years." Aang gasps while sliding down the wall behind him. "I can't believe it."

"I'm sorry Aang." I take his hands in mine. "Maybe there is some kind of bright side to all of this." I tell him.

"Well... I did get to meet you." He says. He smiled at me again as I blush and smile back

"Come on, let's get out of here. This ship is creepy." I tell him. As I get up my hand is still latched on to his, and my blush is still strong.

"Huh." Aang said lifting his foot making the door slam shut. "What was that you said about booby traps?" Aang asked me with a sheepish smile as I pull on the bars. I gasp as a giant red flare was shot into the sky. Aang grabbed my body and carried me bridal style effortlessly. He bended both of us out of the ship. Once we were on solid ground, he put me back on my feet. However our hands stayed latched together as we hurry toward the village.
