Dead Down
Chapter #7: Cullen or Kalel
Anthony ignored me the rest of dinner. I had more important matters to deal with anyway.
I walked back in after Anthony rejected me then ditched me. He can die in a hole for all I care, he's a pussy.
I saw a man with a sniper riffle on his back. He swung infront of him so that he was holding it. He ducked behind the corner table and began taking aim in... Anthony's direction?
I rushed over and clamed a hand over his mouth.
"Follow me, now." I whispered.
I took my hand off his mouth and dragged him outside. He glared at me, knowing I knew what he was doing.
"Okay, why were you aiming at Anthony?" I asked.
"Simple, Stevie was killed here when he was supposed to be under their watch. They started this war and now we finish it." He replied.
Dead and Down appeared in my hand and my eyes burned. I grinned, a crazed look burning in my eyes.
"Your war belong with me. I killed him but sadly now I must kill you. You understand who I am right?"
He paled and stared at me in shock and horror. I ran both Dead and Down though his chest and kicked his body off the katanas. He fell limp on the ground, lifeless.
I suspected there was another sniper, they wouldn't kill Anthony without Ian. I knew someone else was in there.
"Snipers!" I cried, rushing in.
Everyone gave me curious looks. I began to explain my well thought out lie.
"I saw a girl kill a guy outside with a long sword, she told me to warn you that there was a sniper, aiming for Hecox!"
People began rushing around. Mari and Jovenshire grabbed Ian's arms and began dragging him away. A bullet whizzed by his head and hit the wall. His eyes grew wide and the three rushed out. Anthony grabbed me and was about to drag me out when I whispered something.
"Cullen."
He knew what I meant and rushed out. I pretty much told him she was somewhere out there. I felt bad but he needed to be gone for this. A few people aimed guns and knives at me. Smosh was gone, only enimies. Show time.
"I killed Stevie, your war lies with me." I screamed.
Dead and Down appeared in my hands and I charged. I felt a bullet hit my arm but I barely felt it. I had a mission.
I stabbed Down into someones neck and Dead into someone elses. I spun in a circle, swords out, killing anyone near me. I charged at a guy trying to escape and killed the final one, the second sniper.
I grinned evilly and laughed. I fell onto my knees, all the pain registering. I threw my katanas across the room and fell onto my stomach. Breathing became a challenge and darkness took over.
Anthony searched high and low but Cullen was gone. He packed up and began heading back to the mansion. He was frustrated that she could always slip so easily through his fingers. He entered his home and saw the front room was in ruins. Dead bodies and blood were everywhere. Anthony spotted Kalel among the dead people. He rushed over to her, heart pounding. He picked up her body and felt for a pulse. He felt a soft beat against his finger. Tears of relief silently trickled from his eyes and he hugged her tight. He wasn't sure why this was reaction but it felt right. He picked her up bridal style and brought her to the infirmiry. He placed her on a bed and sat on the bed next to her.
"I love you Kalel, I really do. I'm sorry I was to blind to see it. I wanted Cullen to be my girl, hoping she was my girl. I shouldn't have rejected you, I should have embraced you. I'm so so sorry." He whispered.
Even though the girl next to him was asleep Anthony felt the need to say it. He had to get that off his chest. He really did love her.
I groaned and opened my heavy eyes. I realized I was in the Smosh mansion's infirmiry. I sat up, wincing in pain. Someone groaned next to me and I saw Anthony sleeping in a wooden chair. I poked him and he shot awake.
"Huh what?" He blurted.
I giggled. "You were asleep idiot."
His face went slack and a redish tint took over his cheeks. I smiled at him and his eyes seemed distant, as if remembering something.
"Kalel I really like you and I was to blind to see-"
"Anthony if you're just going to say no more hanging out just say it. Don't sugar coat it."
His eyes went wide, horrified I would say such a thing.
"I wanted to ask you out on a proper date." He added.
Now I was the one shocked. I stared at him, waiting for him to say not.
"I'm a lying bitch Anthony, I've lied to you since day one!" I screamed. I stood up and winced. Anthony took notice to that and made me sit back down.
"Lying? What?" He asked.
"I know everything, every question you've ever had. I knew about Cullen I know where she is and I've lied for what?" I began sobbing, curling into a small ball.
"I only have one question... do you like me?" Anthon asked quietly.
I wiped some of my tears and nodded. He didn't meet my eyes. "Well, that's the only question I had." Then he smashed his lips onto mine.
Anthony didn't mention anything about the Cullens. We just sat there in silence, staring into each others eyes. After a while Ian came in with news.
"Hey, Anthony we're going out to see family five, they're running for family one if we don't find evidence of the Cullens." Ian informed.
"Huh?" I asked.
Ian turned towards me. "Well, they need a new number one family. Family five is going unless we can find a Cullen. We know that we need them to be number one in the system. It will be a mess if they aren't. That doesn't mean we like them though. We need to find just one of them." Ian explained. I knew why he was saying this, he wanted me to tell everyone. I was done running, it was time to tell.
"I'll help you. I can get you something..." I said.
Ian grinned and grabbed me and Anthony then dragged us out.
"We've got ourselves a Cullen bro."
