2 months later (December)
I walk into the cafe cold from my small walk from the dorms to the campus. I go back behind the counter grabbing an apron and taking off my giant coat and hate and hanging it up in the back. I now work at the cafe with Austin. Life has been pretty alright. Me and mason still golden. Not much else though. We've had our little fights nothing too major and all.
"Hey!" Austin comes in his nose and cheeks red.
"Hey" I said.
"It's so cold outside" he said I nod in agreement it had snowed and it's always been a dream to be in New York during winter. And it's beautiful I gotta say.
"I know, I have like my biggest jacket with me" I laughed.
"yeah, and I almost slipped like 8 times" he said and I laughed again.
"Oh my god, actually same" I said he laughs.
"Full shift today?" He asked I nodded. "Same."
We go out and it really wasn't busy so I lean back.
"So are you gonna go to the party on Friday?" I asked him.
"Yeah I think, you?" He asked.
"Lydia really wants me to go so yeah I might" I shrugged he nods.
"You should come, don't be boring for once in your life Maddie" he said I rolled my eyes but laughed.
"It's in my nature to be boring, plus I've got some finals break is in like what 2 weeks?" He nods. "And I already got not the best mark on my midterm" I said he chuckles.
"I got like 58% on one of mine" he replied.
"Yeah and I got 56% so try again" I say he laughs.
"Well it's just one night, plus didn't mason say like a couple nights ago that you've been studying wayyy to hard?" He asked.
"Did you forget that mason doesn't study so 5 minutes to him is like a year" I said he breathes out a laugh.
"Still Maddie" he said. "You should come."
"I said I'd think about it" I said.
"Excuse me!" An annoying voice called. I turned and saw Miley and immediately scowl. She has a raised eyebrow and pursed lip.
"What can I get you?" I asked in the same bitchy tone.
"Some better customer service" she mutters and I mentally laugh in her face. I roll my eyes whiles she's looking away. "I'll get a medium latte non fat with an extra shot of vanilla" she said. I punch it into the board.
"That's all?" I asked.
"And a croissant" she adds I put that in. "Wait I also need something for Mia. "And a cappuccino with whipped cream and non fat" she adds. I know she's annoying me on purpose. I punch that in.
"That'd be 14.57" I tell her she hands me the money I pass back the changed and she goes to the side while Austin started making the drinks. I got the croissant and handed that to her. She smirks at Austin. Bitch really you cannot go after everyone I know and are closer to. He hands her the drinks.
"Thanks, and what's your name again?" She asked. I remember him humiliating her about my name that time. He doesn't like her at all.
"It says in the name tag" he muttered pointing to it in his apron thing. She looks down.
"Austin right, I'll see ya around" she winks and walks away. He turns to me and makes a gagging face I laughed.
"I actually feel bad for the people that have slept with her, because first of all I could smell her nasty breath from there" he said na I'd laughed more pushing him he joins.
"She is pretty nasty, but the guys choose to do it, so really I don't feel bad" I replied.
"True very true" he nods. That's when some more people start coming. In finally making it busier.

"Mas I'm back from work" I said as I open the door to the dorm. I walk in and he's asleep. I laugh shaking my head. He looks so cute. His shirt has risen a little and his hair has flopped down to his eye he's wearing sweatpants his body's just sprawled across the small bed. I close shut the door and just as fast as I shut it, it's opens. I turns and Lydia walks in.
"Party on Saturday! You're coming with right?" She asked.
"I don't know" I said in a low voice she sees mason.
"Please" she whispers.
"I don't know like I said" I say she groans.
"Maddie, come on it will be the last one then winter break,no parties for literally like almost a month unless you go to dorm but please" she whines pouting. I sigh.
"Fine" I muttered she grins widely.
"You're the best, it's gonna be great" she cheers. "I gotta go I just came here to say that. See ya!" She said I laughed and nodded then she left. I put my bag to the side. It's so weird that I've been gone from home for like a couple months and I'll be back in like a week or so. I shut the lights off even though it's not even dark out yet but getting there. I go and lay next to mason. Life's been pretty good lately. He stirs a bit.
"Babe?" His voice is groggy and hot.
"Yeah, sorry for waking you" I said.
"No it's ok" he mumbles putting an arm around me. I get as close as possible. "How was work?" He asked.
"Not bad" I shrugged.
"How was your day?" I asked back.
"Lazy" he responds and I laughed. "After class I literally just lied down and fell asleep" he admits his eyes are still closed. I start to play with him fluffy hair.
"That seems nice" I said.
"It was" he nods. "Compared to the freezing outside. I hate it. I literally miss California just because of the sun" he tells me.
"I think it's refreshing. Something new" I shrugged.
"It's cold and ugly" he said and I laughed again.
"It's ugly now, but when it snows it'll be nice" I said.
"Maybe who knows" he shrugs. He finally opens his eyes rubbing them to adjust. "You look good" he tells me.
"I'm pretty sure you say that everyday" I said. He grins.
"Because you always look hot" he replied kissing me I cup his cheek with on of my hands.
"So we've only got like a week and a little till break" I said he nods.
"Yeah, kinda excited to get back home to see Nathan" he said.
"Just Nathan?" I asked with a grin.
"Maybe luke, depends ons when I see him. But yeah Nathan mostly" he nods with a hint of a small grin.
"I don't know how you stand him, you were pretty much there his whole 18 years of life consecutively also so I don't understand" I said shaking my head. He chuckles.
"It's cause we get each other" he nods.
"I see that, clearly" I breathe out a laugh. "It's just he's irritating."
"I can deal" he shrugged.
"Yeah I've noticed" I said. He laughs again. He kissed my jaw going lower by the second. I feel the goosebumps appear. And I feel the "if I start talking my voice will be shaky" appear.
"Ya know Maddie, i love you...so...so much...and, we've been together for...a while...yet you...you still manage to...make me go crazy...over the thought of...getting you undressed, and in bed with me" he mumbles kissing my lips after that. "And you still...manage to make me want to never stop kissing you...and to be honest, that's probably not good for me" he said. "So can you stop?"
I blushed at that but I wouldn't let him see. Yeah surprisingly he could be cheesy but I was hot when it came from him.
"I don't think so" I sighed out.
"Sucks for me then huh?" He asked pulling me on top of him and pulling me down to kiss him.
